The Nexus 5 was fantastic in its time, but the build materials were less than ideal. The iPhone 5, conversely was very well build. Better than any modern phone really, b/c of the mostly aluminum chassis. I have an old Nexus 5 and the soft touch back has succumb to the worst case of petroleum reversion that I have seen. It's gross
100% agree, I had to put a case over my Nexus 5 as the soft touch started wearing out. The iPhone 5 is an iconic design in my opinion (I still wish Apple just made it in different sizes).
@ yep actually i stumbled on ur video while looking for review on iPhone SE 2016 usage in 2024… i think while you are at it the iPhone 5S although better than the 5 , if you actually want a decent usage better get the iPhone SE 2016 just overall better with almost same loveable design… mine is coming on my way
@@jabnakarramon5121 Funnily enough, I am also hunting for a gold SE (1st gen). I really love the design and form factor with the benefit of running a more modern iOS version. I definitely agree with you and think it’s a shame Apple just left the design in general (but can see why due to people’s shifting demands / interests).

the iphone 5 is a year older i think... 5s would be more appropriate
Definitely agree! A mistake on my part for the oversight. I should try to get my hands on a 5s!
