I have watch this video multiple times and have tried to understand where you get the multiple strands of yarn at the end to close up the hat……I just don’t see where you get that. I ended up with holes in my bind off/top. I never used any other yarn then my working yarn to decrease…..I wish I could figure out what I’m missing.
you did it again. just what i was looking for; great for charity without the worry of who it will fit. what is the gorgeous yarn you used? thanks again scarlett for sharing your wealth of knowledge!!
I love that these fine gauge looms are amazing nice love that cast on method i did buy 12 inch 56p 1/2 oval now can i do the cast on method with that loom sorry if you had already said that i have trouble with my ears for hearing
how long did it take you to make this beanie? because at the rate I am going its going to be 5 million years before I get done with it. I use to use the adult KK loom and it would take me literally a couple of hours to finish a beanie. Is it because its a "fine gauge"?
Try flexee loom links, you can add as many links or remove, depending on the size of your hat, for this particular hat you will need the skinny links ( 44 links = 88 pegs ) and at the end decrease the crown by removing links or just continue the same as this tutorial, also Scarlett has another tutorial for the reducing of the crown using the flexee loom links.
Omg I been looking for a video like this. What brand of yarn and size yarn did you use?I love the yarn pattern. I also read which loom size you used so disregard my question on my last post.
I love this video it is very well put together. The only concern I have is I've done rows of knitting and I length does not look the same as your length and the video. I'm using this cindwood Loom 3/8 in 80 Peg. I'm also wondering the length when you get to the last row how long should it be? Hope to hear from you soon have a wonderful rest of your weekend and week.
Stephen, Same issue here. I stitched 15 rows, length is only 1 inch. At this rate, 70 rows will be about 4 to 5 inches. And it is very tight, like I dont think it is going to be stretchy like hers. Am I pulling the stitches too tight.? Using 3/8 inch with 80 peg. And medium #4 yarn. Any help appreciated.
this is a great video. If this is a universal hat, can I use the 64 peg 3/8 loom? I just got a set of 3 today and am wondering about this? I have a 64, 72 and 80. I appreciate your work and sharing!

Brilliant cast on!! And I love this hat!!! I've just started casting on now! Thanks so this video!
I'm terrible at counting rows. How many inches is the hat?

Michele Perez yes, fine gauge looms take much longer to complete the projects. A lot more pegs.
I would like to know if it only takes 1 ball of lion brand landscapes yarn??
+Sherry Vanover Yes it does!!!

Can this be done on th 1/2 gauge hat loom
yes. you can but you would have to adjust for peg number.
question--are you left handed? I think I need to reverse this process--I feel klutzy. The directions are great, though! thank you.
how many pegs on that CindWood adult hat? love the hat.
+javy1960 80 peg in the video but you can use the 120 peg in the 1/4" gauge as well.
