Leonard from Pahkitew Island was picked at the last minute because they wanted a magician character but figured "he was just as good" as well as to save money on production. This also lead to Tammy's creation as the magician had to be paired up with an assistant.
Lenard is the only one of his generation (Third cast / Pahkitew Island) to appear again and be competing in the spin off amazing career the other 3 are from the original cast (drama island) Owen Noah and geoff also there were no characters from The Revenge of the island to return (Second cast)
The reason Leonard always gets kicked off early is because he relies on magic that he doesn't even have. His delusions always cost him the game for his team. He cost his team the game twice in Pahkitew Island with his inability to distinguish fantasy from reality, and his teammate in the Ridiculous Race was just as bad as him, so they dropped out quickly.

it would be funny if they could actually perform magic except they don't know how to use it...... this is the same world where there is a dakaodazoid, feral ezekiel, where an island fell into the ocean, sasquatchwanakwa, a girl who can make tiny birds lift her up so show can glide down safetly or fly, and a mechanical island anything could happen
