i agree with you about woojin, although he has a good voice i think he didn't suit skz as a group. skz without him is better musically and in dynamic imo. it's so interesting to see how young they looked in these older mvs and how much they've grown into their music style and looks.
Chan's voice 😭There's a reason why JYPE held on to him as long as they did and why he ranked high a lot of time on their monthly evaluations, from him being the only one accepted out of hundreds of auditionees when he was 13 to him being the only one left from his trainee batch that one time to watching all his close friends debut and pursue other opportunities, JYPE held on to him. To me personally, I feel like JYPE saw the massive potential but they didn't know what to do with him, he doesn't 'fit' any concept they can think of, thus they just gave him full control and responsibility to make his own group as a last option. I do wish he would let himself shine more too, be a little bit selfish, but we all know that's not how he is as a leader. The constant hate he received (and still receiving) doesn't help his self esteem and confidence either, we hear less and less of his voice in newer songs (although he is legit everywhere and all over the background vocals, melodies, harmonization, and ad libs) Also tbf I don't think you need to be too defensive over appreciating Woojin's voice. Maybe it was just my personal experience, but when I was still a baby Stay I barely, if ever, seen anyone saying anything bad about Woojin's voice (not saying they don't exist, just saying that with the amount of content I devour at that time, I barely seen any). I think it was evident that his vocals really can't be faulted other than being a personal taste. He was supposed to be a part of Vocal Racha and was an SM trainee afterall. Woojin will appear in all of their pre Levanter videos so it's fine, just go with the flow. I do actually agree with you about how maybe he didn't fit much with Stray Kid's vibe and sound. Something he still needs to be reminded to do, as they all probably do. All the Mixtape# songs were originally pre-debut 3Racha songs re-written for the full Stray Kids group. Sorry for that implication. 😅 Even in the survival show, he was teaching SKZ life lessons right from the start, not just how to succeed as Stray Kids, but also about integrity and the other qualities I can't recall off the top of my head.

i love his voice but it does seem a little mismatched in their discography, but you should check out his solo tracks they’re FIREE
