    I picked up mine on the first sale you mentioned a few months ago. It is a great radio especially on sale. It is lacking a little bit of treble though, but I can live with that at under 14 bucks. I bought one for a good friend of mine during Prime Days and he loves it too. Your suggestion about having a dial light is spot on. Thanks for posting this review to confirm what I felt about the Not Now Steve!

    I have one arriving tomorrow - the same model. I'm glad I run across this review. I feel a lot better about my purchase now! I'm gonna play old radio shows like War of the Worlds, Lum and Abner, Mystery Theater on it through the TF card.

    I wish they would make these in a large size, don't know why they don't, wouldn't take much to change.

    Hi Todderbert, thanks for your review. I love retro radios! The NS-8109BT seems to be a nice radio for the price. It's been a while since I bought a retro radio. My last retro radio purchase was the Prunus J-150, and I'm very happy with that radio. I agree with you; it would be great if manufacturers of these types of retro radios could add a display light. Todderbert, I am very happy with my latest radios, the HanRongDa FM/AM (HRD-903) pocket radio and the TOMASHI FM/AM/SW radio, which just arrived. I am especially happy with the HanRongDa pocket radio. I bought the HanRongDa HRD-903 for 11 dollars. It is a real gem and has stereo sound with headphones. So I'm in the process of testing them out. The HanRongDa HRD-903 pocket radio is my new favorite pocket radio in my radio collection; it has a very long antenna. It's just a shame that it doesn't have the shortwave bands considering how long the antenna is. The main speaker sound is also very good on the HanRongDa HRD-903 pocket radio. Take care Todderbert and have a lovely weekend.

      @todderbert My monster radio collection. Oh yes, Todderbert, there have been so many new radios buy lately, and thanks to you, I've bought many of the good ones that you recommend. Absolutely, I enjoy my radios. We can say this, Todderbert: I have no children, but my radios are my darlings. And what's a bit funny is that I had some faults in the apartment that needed to be fixed, so I had a repairman come over, and he was a bit surprised. He said, "How many radios do you have? You could open a radio shop!" I said, "Yes, I own quite a few radios, to say the least." Take care, Todderbert, and have a lovely day.

    I just got my radio in from Amazon. Anyway, the sound is great depending on the radio station, but I also noticed the FM dial is off. For example, station 94.1 is on 98.4 or thereabouts. Still, I like the sound and functionality of it aside from that one foo-poo., so I'm not going to raise sand about it. I can live with it.

    Alas, my name is "Steve." 😊. Seriously though, how is the reception and speaker compared to the Prunus?

      @todderbert  3 месяца назад +2

      It has a lower tone, but similar reception. The Prunus has a better build quality to it.

    Have you reviewed the Magnavox D7160? It's a radio with a cassette player. It says cue & review on the front.

    I has a pretty good AM. Usually those radios look better than they sound.
