- Hi I'm Calzee! I've always wanted to check out one of the Tom Clancy games so let's start off with Ghost Recon Wildlands! With the game about to turn 7 years old already! Let's see if it still holds up and if it's worth playing now!

Compared to new cods we are all coming back to wildlands. Seriously, my team(friends online) just deleted cod and all currently downloading wildlands as we speak
I literally just finished all of the Santa Blanca story missions, including the second ending with El sueño, and ended up playing this because I was bored of call of duty, just the fact of being able to approach every mission either stealth or guns blazing is fun for me to have that option

You have sence im 53 and played more than 500 games and honestly can say it’s number one for me it’s addictive as hell after 5 or 6 hours I tried the fob vibora mission 20 times and at my age lost patience and threw the remote 20 feet across the living room as I’ve not much patience yet the next day I did it a breeze and felt like I won the lottery after lol now I go back to the same mission a lot now as I’ve dealt with it before

Just finished it again yesterday! Had it on ps4 when it came out. Re-purchased on pc 2 weeks ago, first thing after work I bang out a couple hours of wildlands - so good!
Wildlands was a 9/10 I loved it. Break point was not what fans wanted

@@Calzee I put 400 hours into wildlands it’s a masterpiece then did 200 in breakpoint I’ll break it to you nicely the game is soulless bad acting voices the wolves are easy compared to unidad the weapons and orders wheel is rubbish compared to wildlands the menu and game is really hard to understand not just missions but side missions and faction missions stupid badly acted cut scene movie parts are too slow and dragging the immersion in this game is dreadful sometimes but if you want to play it’s ultimately up to you but you’ll be going back to wildlands like me afterwards it’s a no brainer
Breakpoint seemed to try following a Fortnite trend when released. But after updates, it seems to be a better pure gameplay experience now than wildlands.
If you like arcade style better, I suggest wildlands. If not, breakpoint.
Why is Wildlands better? I am almost done with Breakpoint and love it - I'll probably like Wildlands then. Can I play as Echelon?
The PVP was really fun in this game, it is still fairly active on console but can't find matches on PC. Still one of my favorite gams that i go back to from time to time. The ghost mode where you only get one life is fun too, high stakes.
i haven't played it in PVP, sounds fun tho. Good to know its still fairly active
Everyone on PC is playing the first person mod, so multiplayer is not an option

I had wildlands hard copy when I had ps4 so ever since I upgraded a few years back I have not been able to play. I have played the recent cod games and battlefield games but they all leave me wanting more. Wildlands just seemed to do everything right. Even their 4v4 online modes are really fun. Needless to say I have redownloaded the game onto my new PC and plan to main it for a while.

I still playing the Ghost Recon Wildlands. Bolivia map is pretty good and many vehicles. Special Narco Road is fun.
But La Unidad is annoying all time.
I love the collateral damage. Trying to take down a village without wacking any civies was so fun.

for as far as i have played breakpoint recently, the gameplay elements seems to be quite familiar to wildlands. i had fun with it alot and seeing wildlands to be still relevant i want to try this one out

Brilliant game and brilloant map. Obe of my favourite open world maps, along with far cry 4. I agree the map can be quite barren, but i love shooter games and olaying as a ghost i felt immersed flying around or driving to destinations. It didnt bother me if it was bate as the world itself was incredible to just be in.
i still cant get the bad news.. i only made it to tier 19.. theres nothing left to do to get exp
I've played through the game about 3 or 4 times with friends, and it's always fun no matter what we do - sniping from 800 meters away, infiltrating with suppressed SMGs, shotguns, and pistols while someone else runs recon, or just going loud and fighting off an army. Fuck, we might have to get the gang back together.

You should try the first person mod, it completely changes the game and you can really immerse yourself.

The 1st person mod is great for a short while, as you continue playing, you come to soo that the game really wasnt designed with 1st person in mind. Some of the aspects end up being clucky
Some of the most fun solo player gameplay recently. I loved wildlands and played it for a LONG time until i beat it all and there wasnt much to do. Such a fun gameplay just wish theyd make a new one

Ghost recon breakpoint has made some very good changes, if you haven't tried? I'm going to try wild lands and play breakpoint next, I have dabbled in breakpoint and love it but figured I would play Wildlands all the way through first..

Got myself and two friends to jump over to wildlands… all of us on ps5. Games just as fun as I remember but the aiming feels oddly off. We are all experiencing it where it feels like the dead zones cranked up and then once the crosshairs begins to move it darts and makes engaging enemies next to impossible without bobbing to get on them. We’ve all tried different sensitivity for aiming and looking (default, below and higher sensitivity), aim assist off and on, I even tried 3 controllers to include going to a ps4 controller. Nothing fixes it.
interesting, i didn't experience it myself because i played on kbm but i would think they would patch that if it was a common issue. hopefully it can be resolved

I like breaopoint mechanics with wildlands ai and map
My minimap has cars, but no enemy detection clouds. No other HUD, I encourage others to play with limited HUD, and different play styles. It's a little too arcade like with all the assists. You can have a door breacher build, but imo overwatch is the best playstyle for most engagements in Advanced or Extreme mode. AUG A3 and BFG with the TARS101 (that combo has 50% more magnification than any other rifle/scope combo in the game).
Mk14 with x4 scope, famas G2 with reddot are my go to 😬 overwatch playstyle noHUD but I’m not in extreme difficulty I’m not that good pal 😂
@@LesDoudousPS NGL the BFG carries me sometimes. The BFG 50A (not extrnjaros) does stock HTI damage and G28 rate of fire, so 1 shot takes out everything but armored vehicles (2 shots), and the 9x mag scope makes 500m+ shots so much easier. In single player, I sync shot the driver and wingman in a convoy, then then shoot the helo, then the 2 armored vehicles, If I'm accurate, I take out everyone in a 4 vehicle convoy before the truck comes to a full stop, let alone they get out or are engaged. So when I get 4 stars, I can take out reinforcements before they see me (2 shots per APC, 1 round left over for a helo if it's otw), and take helo's from RANGE with the 9x mag scope. And the AUG has slightly more bullet drop than a G28, but it has THE LEAST drop of anything that's not a sniper rifle. And it's ROF is really high, so I put it on 3 round burst, and can take out alerted enemies with 1 pull of the trigger, and enough rounds are on target from 250-300m away it's a "one shot kill" (cause 2 or 3 of my burst made contact). I stay out of detection, WAY out of detection, and run/drive around to get the angle I need to make the shot. Once they're in a group, and there are limited numbers, I don't mind an alerted engagement, but generally I try to avoid them.
But I am learning how to run a door buster setup, which requires more fast twitch skill, which I don't have. I play it like a chess game.
Mercenaries mode is pretty fun plus good rewards

I’m replaying wildlands right now, if you play it like a simulation and take it low and slow, it is super fun. I kind of rushed through it my first place through and didn’t enjoy it as much as I should’ve.

Assassin creed odyssey is amazing, as well as final fantasy 7 remake and currently playing its sequel Rebirth and having a blast
Not able to kill El Sueñuo oneself, getting stuck in between rocks while accidentally falling off the edge etc was a major drawback in the game. Else everything was good. Well, In 2024, I completed the story mode again mostly in stealth mode using sniper rifles and suppressors attached to assault rifles. It is addictive. Bringing down enemy choppers using drone is hell of a fun still!
i was having trouble initially, too. Wasn't till my 3rd playthrough I started getting good with the stealth mechanics, but once you figure it out, ohhh boy it's insane. Catching 6 enemies in the open from 200m away cause you displaced is TOP TIER. The panoramic NVG helmets have the best NV in game. I'm grinding for the Operator Bandana, it completes my blacked out multi-cam outfit. Plus the skull with NVG 4 eyes will look cool AF.
there's some issues but overall, it is great for sure
idk how anyone is still sleeping on this game, me and my cousins have been playing for 2 years now and we're still having fun

Hay, which tactical game (except GR Brakepoint) would you recommend that has a similar vibe and feels like the GR Wildlands? I know, nothing beats Wildlands, but still, what game could compare to the similar level of immersion of GRW?
This game was probably the first tactical shooter I played in single player.
But I’ve heard the Arma series is good and the third entry is on sale on Steam at the moment!
This game really seems to be the best and unique, there’s not many games that are like it tbh

I'd highly recommend MGS V: Phantom Pain for a similar vibe (though it leans a bit more on the stealthy side).
You can also try Arma 3 (which would be more complex on gameplay than Wildlands).
Hell yeah you should. I'm one of the few that likes Breakpoint more because the controls are tighter but both are awesome now. Turn off all that gear score crap and most of the hud

@@CalzeeI at least think it's worth playing no HUD, really changes the game. Only vehicles show up on my map. Making my way through tier mode, I have a door buster and overwatch load outs. The guns are pretty balanced, but the BFG w/tars101 and AUG 3 w/ digital scope (loud and long range). And an mk14 and mpx w/ ssag&comp, for the door busting. But in advanced there's not a lot of door busting going on
i prefer the gameplay from breakpoint, would be nice if ubi combined the two games in the future in a new game

i would agree on that especially the heal system is very challenging and encourages to be more careful while engaging your targets
@@CalzeeI started playing breakpoint like 3 days ago and it is actually pretty good. Yeah I heard it did horrible at launch but it got good updates.
There is a couple features I wish it had. For example you can’t call vehicles on the spot you have to go to your base in order to spawn one.
I do like the enemy drones pretty cool. Overall the game is pretty fun. Story isn’t the best though 💀. I was confused a couple of times when I killed a boss I didn’t even know he was a boss.

I love the game but…the enemy auto spawn system absolutely sucks on the higher levels of difficulty. Yesterday a baddie spawned right between me and my squad when we were huddled in a circle. It was like he got beamed down from the enterprise. When you add in Unidad forces that are infinitely spawning the game gets ridiculous. If it didn’t have that it would be a lot more enjoyable. Given this the map is great, the helicopters are great, the weather is great and most of the missions are good expect for the auto spawning.
Keep your distance till the base is cleared. I have the HUD/markers off (except minimap w/ vehicles but no enemies) and I'm on tier mode (tier 26 rn), and imo the only way to reliably run through bases is to keep range. Preferably 200m+
it seems like the difficulty levels aren't balanced enough which is a shame..
This game is the perfect thing for someone Who loves free roam + a absolutely good storyline and gameplay, I love this game till now.

Not every area is six areas. At least El Comandante is only 3 but his missions are the hardest in the game.

Honestly after playing breakpoint, wildlands just doesnt feel right. I never played it before but i tried playing it a few weeks ago and everything just feels so much pamer than breakpoint....especially the outfits threw me off. Didnt even get passed the first mission. I might guve it another chance tho.

I was just looking this up, I guess when you zoom in you can click R3 on controllers and it'll switch to a 3rd person zoom?. Haven't tried it yet though. Will try it after work lol

@chrisbrown113096 thank you! I literally downloaded it again last night and started it again and was a little annoyed with the aiming lol. Pretty burnt out with all the new fps games and while I wait for the next DLC for Remnant 2 I figured I'd give this game a good try this time around lol.
Click the right trackpad on the Steam Deck to switch aiming views. The Great thing is it's customed to the weapon. So my sniper rifle goes to first person and the other two guns go to 3rd person. It's pretty rad.
I’m not on social media I’m too old for that crap but if I was I’d tell everybody to play wildlands as I’ve played every cod game ever and yes the graphics are great but their the kind of game you do four hours then sell it no need to go back. Wildlands on the other hand has a very good immersive gameplay and addictive hence why I put 400 hours into it. Let’s hope Ubisoft don’t mess up the new game as breakpoint was average at best
Also the weapons wheel in wildlands is brilliant once you know how to master it this makes the game Swiss watch
Glad you enjoy it! There’s so much content to get lost in and I loved the movement in this game. Great gameplay and mission design overall, making up for lots of replay-ability. Love Wildlands 💯
I've got 700 hrs and I'm grinding for the tier 15 reward of the Operator Bandana to complete my blacked out night setup. I don't want any new weapons, I've got my favorite SR, AR, pistol, SMG, DMR all set up with the extras and paint I want. Vehicles are cool but I have 2 helo's and the armored vehicles unlocked, so it's like what else is there to get? Besides a mic for my computer for co-op.
I feel like it’s this game needed a better team. It’s genuinely fun but so underbaked… so many features could have been explored with its far cry/gta similar features but, it didn’t not have a good developer thanks to Ubisoft, and from what I understand, they only wanted to boot it out to get more bankroll. There are a number of ways it could be improved, but obviously they aren’t going to fix it. I hope the game gets overhauled by modders, including the removal of microtransactions and many slice of life features.
i still think the games great, but yes, you make good points. there's a few small improvements to be made

I played call of duty 3 the graphics were great but it’s too hold my hand go here go there and 5 hours long got really bored then sold it now I’ve put 400 hours into wildlands it’s so good I’m bloody bored now seems there’s nothing as good to play as wildlands or breakpoint well I can’t wait for project over 😢
I like the game, but it's so difficult and long-winded to try to connect with friends to coop. Way too finicky, we end up playing something else.

I keep going back to wildlands. Playing fallen ghost now. The environment in breakpoint is so terrible it ruins the game.
yeah breakpoint's world is so dry compared to this one which is crazy when it's an older game. seems like a lot of people are returning to wildlands
Really a great game im on almost 40-50hrs in.
Only downside is there is no flashlight in the game, sometimes the ai companions takes a away your position for some reason.
There is night vision but they could have give them a model for it, but having a flashlight in the dark still looks cool when infiltrating.
Overall still a fun game. Me and my friend really like it.

i believe that's just part of the game, there's just small aspects that could be added/tweaked. Like the flashlight for example, though i wasn't overly fussed, it would've been nice.

@@Calzee bro both games are a blessing from god, the people who play the same cod every 2 years hate on them both, they got their own unique styles which makes them enjoyable as hell, but for a better experience and story, play wildlands first, and then breakpoint, these both games are just chef's kiss👌

Wildlands was best military game I’d played in decades. Reminded me of the old Socom games when I was a kid. Love the 3rd person view where you can actually hide and be stealthy. It’s only game I’ve cared to play start to finish multiple times besides RDR2 and GTA5. It has a great campaign story. Breakpoint was a total disappointment. As soon as I had to fight giant robots I was DONE. I’m sick of the future space weapon BS
I prefer it to breakpoint. Its simpler, cleaner, easier to navigate and grittier. I don't want to fight terminator tanks to get my weapons, nor to have a schizophrenic board for my missions instead of a list.

I have a fact that Ubisofts ghost recon might be connected to rockstars red dead redemption 2 because of this accessory called the Dutch’s cigar in ghost recon that Dutch’s cigar might be referring to Dutch van der linde if you don’t know about read dead go search and learn more so you could understand this It’s because Dutch uses the same size and the same type of cigar and it’s called Dutch’s cigar so it might be connected to Dutch van der linde this might be a secret Easter egg I’m not here to comment stuff about this video I’m here to share my theory
Yeah it definitely could be, I’ve played and love RDR2. It would be cool if that is correct
If anything it def would be minimum of 100 years later (meaning this game is minimum of 1999 to 2017)

I love taking out the bases like mob jaguar and fob vibora etc and especially the weapons wheel it’s amazing I can order everything and every one I’m in total control I think that’s what makes the game for me just my opinion

This is one of the most painfully generic games that I’ve ever played, but it can be pretty fun to play whilst listening to music or RUclips videos in the background. That’s how I feel about a lot of Ubisoft games nowadays. The formula is outdated and repetitive, but it’s still mindlessly entertaining when you’re bored.

Can you drive any vehicle in the game? Even the civilian ones? Can you swim?
Yes and yes, I believe there's close to 30 vehicles. Dune buggies, motorcycles, cars, vans, trucks, a front loader, military trucks and APC's, several different types of aircraft including heli's and planes.

The lower difficulties are too easy and the higher are too hard. Plus this game isn't as polished as breakpoint. Disappointing.
that seems to be an issue with some ubisoft games, would be good to have better balance. I'll be playing breakpoint soon because i've heard many people say wildlands is better than break point and vice versa.
