My dermatologist (Dr Murad who’s now retired) years ago told me that I need to have “bio-available hydration” via hydrating vegetables and fruits in addition to water - think cucumber, apples, pears, kale, all the melons, avocado, and adding chia seeds to melon water or kombucha like they do with Mama Chia. Cuz all plain water has to be converted by our cells to be barrier absorbable. And that takes up to 12 hours. Electrolytes help a lot to make them quicker absorbed but the best thing is to always include the veg and fruit.
I love this! I drink Kombucha every morning, I drink water with cucumber slices (Bcos I HATE plain water) and I always eat assorted veggies/salads 2x a day.

Regarding the water intake: Please inform yourself before you practice this and when in doubt ask your own doctor! There is a lot of info on how much water you should consume based on your weight. Recommending to only drink one liter a day is so dangerous because it won’t apply to everyone. It also depends on how much you drink at once. You’re not supposed to drink a liter at once since it washes your electrolytes out, but that amount stretched over a day is very very little. Taking care of your electrolytes on the other hand is a great tip.

Hello Vicky, please make a detailed video for self tanning and facial exercises, if you practice any. Thanks a ton gurl, you're a game changer for ALL OF US!
I've been doing the castor oil the last couple weeks, on brows, lashes, and belly button, and I swear it's working! I sleep so well since doing this.....and also rub excess facial serums and creams on my hands, and it really helps.
For an alternative to adding salt to your water, sunflower seeds contain all the electrolytes we need to fully absorb water, so have a handful or 2 a day and you’re all set
Thank you for addressing the gallon of water issue! 99% of people preach about drinking more water but never mention the arguably more important part that water alone can deplete your vital minerals! Electrolytes are everything 🙌 You rock!
Such a valuable video! I don’t often promote books, but the book women’s magic truths on borlest is an exception. It’s packed with insights on wealth and self-care that are not widely known. All the best to everyone
note on castor oil in the bellybutton, in ayurveda there are 3 doshas. its good to know which dosha you are, some have excess heat, others are lacking heat.

I swear we are karmically aligned, you and I think exactly the same 💗✨ pls do a vid about the ugly effect ill-intended people can have on us and how we need to distance ourselves from that. they literally want to TAKE our beauty, light, & gifts.
I also put castor oil on my hands to help them stay moist and look younger as well. And I use it when I’m massaging my lymphatic system near my under arms. It really keeps its youthful and soft and I don’t have a lot of wrinkles there because of this practice.
Lash extensions are a game changer especially if you find an artist that does more natural looking ones. However for even longer results, lash lifts with tint. Get brows tinted too. Basically looks like makeup without makeup and lasts over a month.

I have very cool-toned skin and every self tanner I've ever seen has been warm toned. If I had a warm-tone or even neutral tone I would try this without hesitation, but I'm not sure anyone actually makes a cool-toned self tanner?
Went googling after I made the above comment, there IS apparently self-tanners that take cool undertones into account, but you're looking at $40+ on sale. (And if you aren't careful about the product overheating/oxidizing too much, you can end up looking green) So I'll have to wait to try this method out.

Some good tips, but as someone trying to save my hairline I cringe at people plucking their hairline. I’d be concerned about damaging follicles that you may regret when you get a bit older. And I’m someone who always had thick hair and a low hairline.
Ok and honestly I'm telling u real human eyes are more beautiful no matter the eye, they're deeper, they're more fascinating, they're more sweet to look at for long periods of time. But coloured contact lenses are so cute I love them so much they are a wonderful fun transformation to ur face u never expected 😍
I need a video on self tanning lip liner… And I guess the whole thing because if you're using self tanning, you're just using double on the contour parts or a different darker self tan for the contour that you are the whole face yeah, there's gonna be a video about this somewhere which products are we using here? What are you using to self tan around your lip line? a Q-tip? a make up brush?
Lip liner- I outline and then completely fill in my lips with a slightly darker color than my natural one. As my lipstick fades I still have a beautiful color and defined lips. It also helps my lipstick last longer. Evening out skin texture- I swear by Bliss Incredpeels. I use them every other night before bed (it's a leave on treatment, not a mask or scrub) and it really helps loosen off any shedding skin so my foundation goes on smoothly & I don't get those shedding flakes that get highlighted by makeup. I also use Clinique's Exfoliating Scrub the next morning to slough off whatever it loosened. The average person would do this less than me-I have higher than normal cell turnover so I recommend starting with once or twice a week.
Does the sea salt really make a difference? Don’t we genuinely already have plenty of sodium in our diets? My guess would be most people are low on other electrolytes like magnesium and potassium.
I’m a licensed and practicing medical provider working in cardiology. The answer is yes, salt does make a difference. In healthy people, without underlying comorbid conditions to be considered, salt is important. However, if you are concerned about magnesium and potassium, use Himalayan salt. Or consume a NON-distilled water product that contains these elements. However, what she is trying to speak about in this video is about how to get your body to actually use your water. Salt is necessary for cellular exchange.
Actually, this is not completely true. I will try to be as succinct as possible to answer your concern. This is a complex topic. I will touch only on specific rudimentary points, as there of course is much greater detail to this for those interested in understanding the deep complexities of this pathophysiology. So, yes. For someone with high blood pressure, increasing sodium intake does affect the Renin-Angiotensin System. Thereby subsequently increasing blood pressure. However, during times of dehydration (which includes everyone, even those with an underlying diagnosis of high blood pressure) sodium levels can be low; and may need to be replenished. Think diarrheal illness and so on. In fact, there is even retrospective data that was released at the most recent American College of Cariology conference, which identifies that having too little salt in the diet has actually been associated with poorer outcomes for heart failure patients. As a side note, we intentionally lower the blood pressure of heart failure patients to decrease the work load of the heart. This is again a very rudimentary explanation, but I am just making a point. Meaning, there has been no positive benefit such as prolonged life and/or decreased hospitalization. In fact, when reviewing many thousands of heart failure patients, retrospectively, it has been the exact opposite. This was astonishing data that has just begun to undo years of practice across the entire healthcare system. So that said, if you have high blood pressure, increased sodium is not advised. If you have heart failure increased sodium is not advised. Especially heart failure exacerbation. Following a recommended daily allowance is appropriate for everyone. Even for heart failure patients (who are not in exacerbation). Unless that heart failure patient is nearing end of pump lifecycle and/or is currently volume overloaded. Whereas POTS patients actually require higher than normal salt intake. I mention POTS just to simply highlight an example of extremes. However, even patients with high blood pressure can, and do, experience low sodium. So, as you can see, it is not black and white or absolute in any way. However, sodium does play a role in hydration and electrolyte balance. Also, none of this discusses comorbid conditions such as underlying kidney disease. Therefore, this entire discussion is an open dialogue regarding hydration in solely healthy individuals who are dehydrated and without any significant underlying disease process; but is not medical advice. It is a discussion based upon the average healthy individual who does not have any underlying medical diagnosis/diagnoses. Additionally, this discussion is not directed medical advice for any individual reading this. Especially those individuals with underlying comorbid conditions. If you are in doubt about your particular needs, and are reading this content, please consult your cardiologist and/or nephrologist for further guidance and refrain from taking any guidance or advice from any social media content regarding your individual health, without first discussing it with your healthcare provider.@@tahsina.c

So i did and skin is amazing organ it peels itselg it mosturize itself it tannes in sun to protect and it has natural barriers.
15 mins of exposure to sunlight each day is also very important for vibrant health.
@sarahwales6276 it totally is! That's why I'm not necessarily slathering it *everywhere* and when I'm stepping outside for lunch I don't reapply so I can get optimal vitamin D. But face spf every day is a non-negotiable
Ugh, such good info. This is quickly becoming my fav femininity/level up channel. Also, Vickita you seriously have some of the most beautiful disney princess eyes I've ever seen ❤
Wow, thank you!
I was going to say the same, she has very beautiful eyes. I also have a similar eye shape but her eyes are just mesmerizing.
Hi, I live in France and love the American approach to beauty. Here things are kept very natural and minimal. I've tried to apply what I see on videos but it's just not the same without a real life example. Amazing advice btw
Girl - love you ! No gatekeeping - just sharing all this wisdom with ya gals ! 😘 you’re a gem! ❤
this is THE best glow up vid ive ever come across, ive been talking abt 70% of these things and i didnt know anybody noticed them besides me! you’re so smart & informative🖤
Thank you for the water tip! One can also drink an infusion, but it needs to be 2-3 infusion bags and steep for at least 2 hours. I do it the night before - Nettles is amazing!
I’m here from Hailey’s Hail-mas video collaboration and I’ve never turned back. Your channel has put me on to so many ways to better my mindset and life. Thank you.
My goooooood girl your videos are always a pack of gems; huge respect for not gatekeeping anything
I don't care if you've got crooked teeth or straight but getting your teeth whitened instantly makes anyone more attractive, period lol. love using big fuzzy socks and working hands lotion on my feet, on my knees and elbows straight out of the bath or shower. I sit with that on all day and literally have to do barely any buffing of my feet in winter time. I use silk pillow cases for my skin & hair. Using a little razor to manage my side burns (I'm basque lol) to clean my face up. I take lysine regularly to prevent cold sores and use carmex (beeswax tends to dry out lips)
It’s shocking how Women’s Magic Truths on Borlest isn’t being discussed. The book is full of life-changing insights, yet no one seems to notice. Time to break the trance and read it yourself!
this was no cap a video straight to the points
Hello Vicky, please make a detailed video for self tanning and facial exercises, if you practice any. Thanks a ton gurl, you're a game changer for ALL OF US!
I've been doing the castor oil the last couple weeks, on brows, lashes, and belly button, and I swear it's working! I sleep so well since doing this.....and also rub excess facial serums and creams on my hands, and it really helps.
Ohh why in your belly button??
@@keishadi4497she explained it in the video:))
For an alternative to adding salt to your water, sunflower seeds contain all the electrolytes we need to fully absorb water, so have a handful or 2 a day and you’re all set
I’m so obsessed with everything you do. Everyone listen to her about the electrolytes in water !! Best channel ever. ❤
I love when you do beauty videos from time to time! I would enjoy it if there were more coming❤
Subbed at 0:33 because I cannot express adequately how grateful I am for the Video Outline. Great stuff!
Edit: The summary at the end too! YES!
You made me feel less crazy or out of the norm with both the contour and the middle part ❤
Any scientific evidence?
Thank you for carrying this beauty torch of knowledge. Right on.
I really do agree on the parting your hair thing that changes how i look a lot
Duuuude good for you going into the water thing!!! You are so right and not enough people know this👏🏼
Girl have you tried color analysis? I think you’re a winter and would look so stunning with your dark natural hair color! Check out 12 color seasons analysis
My micro glow up tip is collagen peptide powder. In a month or less you'll definitely notice a more youthful complexion
Which brand collagen do you use? I’ve been thinking about adding collagen to my routine.
@@83jenlcI know you didn’t ask me but I used the Trader Joe’s brand of collagen powder.
@83jenlc I use a brand called wellguard. I got it from their website but it's also retailed on amazon
I never considered manipulating my hair line. My hairline has always been uneven and you just changed my life! 😂❤ The video wasn’t even over and I cut small waxing strips and evened it out and I can stop looking in the mirror 🪞 it looks so much better!! ❤ Thank you for your tips!
Could you film your self-tanning routine, please? I have never used self-tanner and am a little scared I will look terrible if I do it wrong.
Yes please do
Yes!! I tried it and it was horrible 😪 so I'm obviously doing it wrong.
(And if you aren't careful about the product overheating/oxidizing too much, you can end up looking green)
So I'll have to wait to try this method out.
Amazing content in this video! I rarely suggest anything in comments, but the book women’s magic truths on borlest is a game-changer. It provides deep knowledge on wealth and self-care that can really make a difference. Take care, everyone
1. Use self tanner overnight as contour. Use on face and around lips
2. Curl lashes with heated curler
I have preheated my eyelash curler with hot water and it works great too👍🏼
Hey girl, can you show us how you do all that? I am more of a visual person
Omg!! Yasss I get the contrast on my lips from lip liner as I’m working throughout the day, thank you! I have castor oil, I can’t wait to try the lash perm technique. I love and appreciate this so much! 💖💖
Eyeshadow hack i do follow & really all of your tips are mind-blowing 😊
This is the best video!!! 🤩🤩🤩thank you!!!
You just motivate me to go take care of me earlier tonight. Love your videos
Great video!! Unique information that's not just standard and recycled like many other creators. Great job!
Thank you for bringing up proper hydration! I cringe when I see people on RUclips encouraging others to drink loads of water without electrolytes
The castor oil in belly button trick is very interesting, will try
I use powder foundation as “contour” too for over a year now. Someone at MAC suggested I try it.
Some good tips, but as someone trying to save my hairline I cringe at people plucking their hairline. I’d be concerned about damaging follicles that you may regret when you get a bit older.
And I’m someone who always had thick hair and a low hairline.
#4 is so important- especially now that most water is filtered and basically dead
We gonna need a separate video for #1😭
Does the sea salt really make a difference? Don’t we genuinely already have plenty of sodium in our diets? My guess would be most people are low on other electrolytes like magnesium and potassium.
It can. But if you drink water with your meals, it does the same things as your salt.
Thanks for your answers! I will try it!
@@BeyondAestheticsAZthis doesnt sound like a great idea for people with blood pressure?
Can you please do a video sharing what makeup products you use and your beauty routine?
Will Himalayan seas salt have the same affect as Celtic???
Can you tell me what self tanner you use for your face?
Whenever I apply any oil(almond/castor) or Vaseline on my eyelashes.. it somehow gets into my eyes and starts hurting badly. How to prevent this ?
Same here! Make sure you don’t have any other actives or cream before applying and stick to pure castor oil. On it’s own it reduce red eyes and irritation. Apply on your lids and inner corner of your eyes too. Light application, use your index finger to apply. That is the only way I don’t get eye irritation. I found out castor oil reduce eye irritations applied as mentioned. I tired it and it’s true. I no longer wake up with red irritated eyes
You're a true pro. Thank you for these amazing tips.
I have always blow dryed my eyelashes after mascara to keep them drying in the position i want with/without eyelash curler
These are good tips 😌😌 thanks definitely gonna use castor oil idk about in my bellybutton tho bc I hate feeling sick 🤢🤢
I've been doing the powder foundation for a while too! that and blush, and the eyeshadow setting. it's like an iykyk kinda thing, but I'm excited to try the tanner !
Your content is amazing. Where have you been all my life
Vickita I am trying that self tanner contour TONIGHT!!!! Thanks for the tips love xoxo
I loved this! There were new things here! Thank you Vickita!
Can you do a tape how to please?
Please share some literature sources for the castor oil in the belly button thing cos that just sounds crazy.
It’s an Ayurvedic practice if you didn’t hear me mention that…
Mewing changed everything for me!❤

Your eyes are soo pretty 💓
This is a great video!! Thank you for all these! I definitely recommend Celtic salt and castor oil in your belly button. It really does make a difference!! I also put castor oil under my eyes and all over my stretch marks and cellulite. It’s really helped make them softer and lighter in color. I am 52 years old so at this point I’m going to look older hehe but I still like to be beautiful 🫶🏽 I also do mewing as well!!
Which results did you get woth the castor oil ? :)
What did it do for your belly button.
@@missfabidia castor oil penetrates deep into the skin and really nourishes it so my skin is a lot softer and my stretch marks from having children got lighter and softer. My cellulite is less and my skin is softer. It also helped diminish fine lines under my eyes and around my arm and shoulders. And it also helped with age spots on my hands.

Cute video! These tips will just make us overall feel our best!
But as a cosmetic injector you don’t need to tape your face 😅 it can also potentially just worsen your skin. Wrinkles are certainly more than skin deep. It’s muscle level deep!
girl...i'm so glad i found you
If you can please tell me what self tanner do you use? Thank you for all these amazing tips!!! ❤❤❤❤
Can you provide some updates on the tips for the girlies with dark skin? I have no idea what you mean for self tanner and contouring in relation to my skin. Like what should I research as my options ?
Using self-tanner on dark (AA) skin really enhances tone, but I don't think it'd be dark enough to contour. I'd use the face powder hack!
Can you please do a self tan routine 👏🏼❤️
Which self tanner do you use?
So question: when you base contour using self tanner at night, do you still wear foundation during the day? You look flawless but I have freckles so when I don’t wear foundation they’re visible.. but foundation covers up my base layer contouring.. how do you do it and still have a flawless base?
One more. Inversion for a few mins before getting out of bed. So glowy!!
Just hanging off the side of the bed or with an actual inversion table?
Hanging off the side of your bed - I've heard this too!
For the castor oil in belly. Do you have to wipe it off? Or it just gets absorbed?
I don’t wipe it off
I cannot do a middle part either! I also like part at start of eyebrow
I love how practical these tip are!!! Does anyone know if you can also heat the eyelash curler with a lighter for example as an alternative to a blow dryer?
I wouldn't do it, the risk of burning and/or being too hot is real? You can end up damaging your apparatus.
You should be drinking half your body weight in ounces (if you weigh 200 pounds, you should drink 100 ounces of water). A litter isn't enough for some people. You're totally right about electrolytes and minerals and their effects on the liver. Great info.
That’s actually not true. 1/2 of weight. Electrolytes, H2 tablets and or salt your water about 64 ounces
@@pathhealthcenter 64 ounces wouldn't be enough water for people who are considered to be overweight. Thanks.
I'm sure people can work out for themselves how much water they need to drink.

Breathing through your mouth also can cause tooth decay and bad breath. Enamel is meant to be wet.

The eye lash perm is legit. I’ve seen my mom do that growing up. I’ve been doing it since a teen and I can’t do my lashes without it. It will never be the same lol
