Read about Cariol Horne, a good cop with 19 years on the job. She was fired for interfering with another cop who was choking a handcuffed suspect. The officer was later sent to prison for civil rights violations. Cariol was 1 year from qualifying for her pension. She had a good history, good performance evaluations but her termination was upheld. Btw- the story was that she "jumped on the back of the officer in an attempt to stop him choking the suspect" .
