Janey, I was chatting with my partner yesterday about progress in gardens and referred to yours as an example, pulling up your videos from August 2023 and then showing him more recent videos as comparison, and he was suitably astounded by the change in a year. Despite you being in the realistic situation of requiring sensible budgeting and planning, despite you feeling overwhelmed and undoubtedly a little scared about what you have taken on, you have remained determinedly positive, and a font of excitement, hard work and great ideas. I can’t wait to see the 2026 tour, it’s going to be even more satisfying and impressive. You should feel proud of yourself and your channel.
What a difference Janey! The process is so exciting - can you imagine what January 2026 garden tour will look like! So excited for you my gardening friend 🌻🌻🌻
Oh my goodness the day that propane tank is finally moved out, You’re gonna have to crack open some champagne and have a big party!!! 💙💚💛🧡💜 I’m so happy for you Janey! 😊❤️ Liz
Janey, you seem to be so proud and happy with the progress you have made in your garden! Well, you should be proud! It is so beautiful and I am happy for you. Thanks for making me smile!🥰
Dear Janey, what about all those daffodils you and Jason moved to the roadside of the fence? How are they doing? That will be a huge show this Spring. Or are they blooming up now too? Love, those begonias! They're real eye catchers! You and Jason have really worked so hard in 2023 and it shows! Everywhere!❤❤❤Monty is so silly and handsome!
So amazing to see the old footage - what fun to watch! Isn't neat to build and see progression!? Front garden is looking beautiful - thanks for the Tour(s) !
WOW!!, Hi Janey and Monty, What a difference 1 Year makes I am so excited for you and your beautiful family, Seeing Monty with he's stick makes me want to get a dog lol he's so adorable. Can't wait for this summer to see everything in bloom, before and after pictures what an amazing job you all have done you have come a long way, thank you for sharing with us, 'congratulations!'. Have a terrific day! 😊👋💐
What a change from last year! Everything looks so good - and it's January. You should be very proud! You've put in so much work over the year. Can't wait to see the garden in the Spring. Thanks for the tour! ❤M
Janey, you need to take a gander at Pink Muhley grass. I believe it would be perfect to add to your meadow in the middle garden bed where the propane tank is currently. They create a pink cloud with their seed heads in the fall that will take your breath away! And I know you love pink!
Looks beautiful Janey! I’m about an hour South and also enjoying the plants in my garden looking good for this time of year! Looks like colder temps are coming for the Modesto area! I really enjoy your videos! ❤
Janey amazing how much you’ve done in a year. Oh my gosh how adorable Monte was just a baby then and look at him now he’s just adorable. To another year, best wishes.
Ho ly canolli, you have accomplished soooo much in a short time !!!! Every time I see you4 orange trees it looks so surreal . Living in Pa. I can't imagine having them in my yard . So nice having fresh orange juice etc. ! 😊😊
Hi Good morning I being watching you channel from the beginning you star in the other house your garden I get up every day waiting to see what you will teach us in that day and I learn more and more every day thank you for all the information you give us
What amazing progress! I can't believe how much you got done in one year!! You and Jason deserve to enjoy the fruit of your hard labor! I'm going to try planting verbena de la mina! Sounds wonderful!
Your garden has really come along in a very short time! I have got to get one of those surefire begonias. However, the highlight of this lovely video is.....MONTY! (sorry Janey 🤣) OMG, that video of him as a little puppy just melted my heart, and seeing him now with his stick, priceless
Hi Janey. Not sure which Electric company you have in Davis … but check your bill and look at your rate. You could be charged an electric rate where your “tiers” are higher more quickly because of two sources of fuel that is more because you also had propane. IF your rate is based on two sources of energy make sure to notify them that you are no longer using two sources. You will be moved to a single source rate and the first tier of cost will be less. If that makes sense.
Pomegranate tree looks GREAT!! Super good job, Janey!! Can’t wait to see it in Spring when it leafs out! And I also have verbena de la Mina - and I am on Team Jason - I can smell it and it is divine!!
Janey the difference in your property in 1year is astonishing!! It looks sooo beautiful. 🌟😊 Also I’m amazed st the size of Robbie’s Willow!! It was so tiny when you planted it.
What a wonderful tour! You SHOULD be proud, Janey - you've accomplished so much this year - great structure, great plantings, great overall vision - brava!💐❤
Good morning! Your garden is really coming along very well. I can't wait until spring and early summer to really see how beautiful your garden will be. The Garden Man looks great in that spot. You mentioned planting plants that will grow up the fence around the Garden Man plaque. I don't think that will help the fence nor enhance the plaque. A garden in front of that area, I think, will look more appealing or maybe a rock garden with some large & small boulders with low ground plants, succlents, etc. between the boulders. It will look stunning. HAPPY GARDENING!
Congrats Janey and Jason on your continued growth, both in the garden and in your RUclips ‘business’. May 2025 bring amazing blessings! Also, your favorite section of your front garden past the orchard is my fav too! It’s the mass plantings of the perfect combo plants that make such an impact!! 🌼🪻🌼🪻can’t wait to see other area get refined like this as you work to build your layers. Love watching you each morning. Have a fantastic day!
Lovely to see your tour Janey, you really have made many positive changes. And look how tiny monty was a year ago. We are watching heartbreaking footage from the forest fires, as I'm sure you are. Thoughts are with those affected. Wishing you well for 2025. From SW Wales, UK.
Hi Janey 🌺 . You did a great job in the garden past year and I 'm excited for you for the new projects this year. Janey you can add double take orange quine to the front yard . Have a wonderful day .🪻🌺🪻🌺
Your orange tree is amazing! I'm a little bit jealous! Mine is struggling. Not enough Californian sunshine. Look forward to seeing the changes you make.
Oh My Gosh, it's so beautiful...Have you ever had any regrets moving? I know you have had a lot of struggles in areas. I'm so happy that you and Jason have a vision. I love the transformation.
Love all your favorites and hope to see some of them in my garden this year! All looks great and that Green Man is really a nice focal point. Glad you could figure out a way to get rid of the propane tank with the least amount of $$.
Plant it and forget it? No, no, no….like you, Janey, I am a gardener that evaluates and changes gardens yearly. I don’t expect perfection, I just make changes that fit my landscape and are visually pleasing here in north west Michigan, zone 5/6
Wow! I cannot believe what a difference from then until now - in one year. You did an amazing, amazing job! I probably would’ve still been in the weeds loll….congratulations it looks great don’t feel bad it looks amazing! Love watching your show. You are my inspiration since I as well am transforming my back yard, it’s a lot of work since I’m doing mostly all by myself.. thank you for sharing…
Be honest… did you and Jason actually buy your property 5 years ago because wowie zowie it looks like many years worth of work have gone into it already!!! I applaud you both for your amazing work ethic. 👏 For the spot that will be available space when the propane tank is removed: I can visualize a large galvanized metal windmill. I think it would give the exterior layout of your home a unique look and blend perfectly with the romantic country vibes of your pretty gardens. Maybe some uplighting for the windmill too, ooh la la!! 🥰🇨🇦
Hey Janey! You’re so blessed to have all that green and some flowers! We are under snow. I laugh when you say go out in your yard, and when I see your green acres shop with all the plants. We have nothing going on! Haha. Deanna @gardensglory
Drag the propane tank to the street. It becomes a hazard and they have to move it! They just don’t want to store it in their tank storage yard. We had to do this.
My evovolous looks like this every winter I leave it in the ground and it comes back in zone 9 but southern state too just try it before you pull it! I did pull have and left half that how I found out it will spring back to life
Great garden tour. You have accomplished so much in just a year. Question: Could you put a light layer of the decomposed granite over the crushed granite on your front checker board path to lock in the crushed granite?
Good morning, Janey☕️Now that your home is run by electricity, will you be installing solar panels? Over here in Boston, MA., we have a FREE Solar Panel program. I would imagine you have a ton more sunshine than we do nere on the East coast. Ok, continue with the tour…
I hesitate giving advice because I love your plan, but for your secret garden trellis, if you removed the arch and create a square shape “arch”, it would better support the secret garden walls. I think the vine would hide the corners. Just a thought.

You and Jason have MUCH to be proud of, Janey! Your property is looking AWE-Some!! And will look even more so in the years to come! WELL DONE!!!
What a difference Janey! The process is so exciting - can you imagine what January 2026 garden tour will look like! So excited for you my gardening friend 🌻🌻🌻

You and Jason should be VERY proud. All the hard work, front and back, is so apparent and your vision for the property is coming together!
Amazing progress, and 2025 will be even better

I love the way the three big branches at the top of the pomegranate tree are growing! It looks very artistic.
Looks beautiful Janey! I’m about an hour South and also enjoying the plants in my garden looking good for this time of year! Looks like colder temps are coming for the Modesto area! I really enjoy your videos! ❤
You should feel proud. You've accomplished so much ina year and it's beautiful!!
Janey amazing how much you’ve done in a year. Oh my gosh how adorable Monte was just a baby then and look at him now he’s just adorable. To another year, best wishes.
Put some landscape fabric under that dry creekbed . The smaller rocks will sink into the mud eventually if that barrier is not there
Ho ly canolli, you have accomplished soooo much in a short time !!!! Every time I see you4 orange trees it looks so surreal . Living in Pa. I can't imagine having them in my yard . So nice having fresh orange juice etc. ! 😊😊
You should absolutely be proud of the progress in your property, and it’s only going to get better from here! Zone3 Manitoba 🇨🇦❄️👏
Your front garden looks so beautiful and it's in January. Love your channel and y'all. ❤

Amazing change! All your hard work has paid off. Can’t wait for next year’s review. I am sure it will be a stunner too!
I love the garden tours. Thank you so much.

Wow thanks for this advice!
I think you did a hood job with the pomegranate tree😊
Wow, the fact that you and Jason have persevered this year is incredible- and now you guys have a gorgeous garden to show for it!!! Treat yourselves:)
Pomegranate tree looks GREAT!! Super good job, Janey!! Can’t wait to see it in Spring when it leafs out! And I also have verbena de la Mina - and I am on Team Jason - I can smell it and it is divine!!
i am shocked you still have so much color. I am planning on planting more Lemon Coral Sedum this year as well. What a difference 1 year made for you.
Janey the difference in your property in 1year is astonishing!! It looks sooo beautiful. 🌟😊
Also I’m amazed st the size of Robbie’s Willow!! It was so tiny when you planted it.
I love the way the three big branches at the top are growing! It looks very artistic.
I’m in CA zone 10 and my pink cashmere verbena is still blooming. Crazy!
Janey, just cut back the Blue my Mind! It comes back here in Redding. It looks dead but it comes back beautifully.
I'm almost as excited as you for your center island to come together! Such good news about the propane tank!
You did amazing Janey! what a difference a year makes
What a wonderful tour! You SHOULD be proud, Janey - you've accomplished so much this year - great structure, great plantings, great overall vision - brava!💐❤
Yeah for going electric! I was thinking about that being a good option.
💜
Your garden has changed so much! I remember when you first moved in. Such a beautiful garden that’s still growing.
Good morning!

My heliotrope looks fabulous. I’m in so cal. I cut it back a while ago cuz it looked bad and it’s growing again. Let it grow!!

You definitely should be proud of your garden; the work you and Jason have done is paying off. Can't wait for the coming year to see all the colors.
Re: Evolvulus. It will come back. Just cut it back and it will come back I promise! I’m zone 10 and mine looks ratty too but comes back gorgeous!
Really?! Ok! Thank you!
@@DigPlantWaterRepeat💜☺️
Beautiful gardens after a year!
Hope you all are safe from the fires!
Oh My Gosh, it's so beautiful...Have you ever had any regrets moving? I know you have had a lot of struggles in areas. I'm so happy that you and Jason have a vision. I love the transformation.
Your garden looks great for January! Mine is a pile of snow! Maybe I’ll take pictures in May…
Love the before and after videos. Well done. Beautiful!
Love all your favorites and hope to see some of them in my garden this year! All looks great and that Green Man is really a nice focal point. Glad you could figure out a way to get rid of the propane tank with the least amount of $$.

Wow. What a difference a year makes❤️
It's amazing what you have done. Great job.
You're garden is lovely, but Monty is the star, I am a dog owner, and my dog loves to help me in the garden

What a great difference
Garden is looking great Janey! Ok, I cannot believe you went and did a garden tour without weeding first! Lol just kidding 😂
Hey Janey! You’re so blessed to have all that green and some flowers! We are under snow. I laugh when you say go out in your yard, and when I see your green acres shop with all the plants. We have nothing going on! Haha. Deanna @gardensglory
Looks great! Are you far away from the fires? We have been worried about you.
❤❤❤❤good morning ❤❤❤
Drag the propane tank to the street. It becomes a hazard and they have to move it! They just don’t want to store it in their tank storage yard. We had to do this.
Looking nice❤️
Raking the compost would look really good

Morning
Janey, do you make your own compost?
When can you harvest all those awesome oranges? How lucky!
❤❤❤❤
Where to buy lams ear plant and hellebore?
❤
👏👏👏👏👏
I hope you're not sorry about getting rid of propane. I believe you ( all of us) need an alternate energy source now a days.
I'm curious why banana trees are "OK" but palm trees were not? I understand your reasoning for removing the palms, but now I'm confused.
Very different visually. I love palms and would not even consider banana.
💕🌸🥀💐
Shame on you. You have given me spring fever!
I wouldn't like you either if Monty was peeing on me 🤣😂🙂
