I have actually binge watched all your beginner videos. This one goes on my playlist to practice in the hallway before I even attempt to go outside! Wouldn't know what to do without your tutorials and tips. It's like having your own amazing teacher. So thank you 😊
I just started skating for the fisrt time a week ago and your videos helped me a lot! Whenever I feel like I did something wrong I watch your videos and fix the mistake. I'm progressing a lot faster than I thought. Thank you!
I think these drills are really going to help me, I just watched your video about what to do if you aren't progressing. I wish I had some roller skating friends in my area 😭 I literally know no one else who does it.
Hope they do help xx. Have lots of fun. Perhaps there’s a local Facebook group of skaters in your area? It’s definitely nice to have other skaters to encourage you I have a Facebook group which has a lovely positive vibe we’d love to see you there xx. The link is in the description box.
Your beginner's playlist has helped me start skating again as an adult, and I'm already in love with it again after just a couple of weeks. There's no rink in my area, so it's been a huge learning curve skating outside for the first time!! I never was 'taught' as a kid so much as I was just put in skates and everyone sort of assumed I'd figure it out, so having your simple, technical explanations has expedited the process a ton. Your balance/drill videos took me from spending more time falling than skating my first time out, to cruising pretty confidently with only a couple of falls since ☺ I'm drilling t-stops right now, and your explanations are really great because I feel like I understand *what* I'm doing wrong, instead of just winging it. Today I realized that when I put my leg back for a stop, I pretty much immediately start drifting in that direction. Then I remembered your advice from a different video, about paying attention to where your shoulders are facing, and realized that's exactly what the problem was. Thanks for helping me get out more!!! (You've also definitely saved me some nasty scrapes with the emphasis on safety gear, so my partner's happy as well 😅)
I’ve got a big grin on my face. This comment just makes me so happy. I’m so glad the videos have helped so much. Sounds like you’re doing amazing. 💕⭐️⭐️💕
A really helpful video. Just what I need. I am looking forward to trying out those drills. I love the quality to the production. You obviously use a good quality camera, too, which I really appreciate. And the outtakes are a lot of fun!
These aren’t the exact one but they’re a similar style. I like them as they’re slimline but be aware they’re not as protective as the large ones. amzn.to/3S8Jix7
Question: I can't figure out what the differance is between snakes pattern and bubbles? Looks the same to me 😅 Your videos are such a great help dor begginers, helping get things right from the start and progress fast. Thank you so much!!
Thank you. xx. You’re right. I’m more used to calling bubbles a snake pattern from my artistic skating days. So sometimes snake pattern slips out instead of bubbles! 😂 well spotted.
@@Skatie Great! Good to know! Yes I had seen somewhere they might be called many different ways! You can keep calling them bubbles, less people will be afraid 😊

I need a group of friends just like you! Serious about drilling but keeping it fun too. 💜💜💜
Always needs to be fun too. 👍💕
The Bambi legs is real. I told my mates that was how I was feeling after my first skate. Just rubbery legs and shaking. LOL
Definitely!! Sometimes I put my skates on and it feels like they’re someone else’s skates! 😂

If you're an absolute newbie to quadskating, you can level up quickly your first few months just doing these drills!
Agreed!
That’s great advice Eddison 💕👍🛼
Omg thank you, I feel like this was made just for me. (Lol don't worry I knew it wasn't 🤣)

What's the difference between a bubble and a snake?
They’re the same thing. I’m more used to using the term snake so sometimes I end up saying both. I believe people also call them scissors too?
Are your t stops quiet because of editing? Or am I doing something wrong?
Haha my wheels are so noisy. My husband who edits is always moaning about having to mute the audio!!
Can I use these drills on inline skates?
Yes, a lot of the skills in this video would transfer quite well.
I can't seem to do bubbles. I just cant go forward. I loosened trucks aswell. Any tips?
I have a video just on bubbles that might help. Think about bringing your knees together and lean your weight on the instep of both feet.
What is the difference between bubbles and snake? they look the same to me 😅
You’re right, they are. I just use both names as I’m more used to calling them snakes so sometimes I say that by accident. Well spotted. 😉
@@Skatie Got it! Thanks for replying! I am trying to learn all the jargon! 😂
I just adore you! Where are you located? I would LOVE to meet you, say hello and maybe skate together, for a few minutes.
Good old rainy Blighty. ☔️ 🇬🇧 😂
@@Skatie Oooooh! London! And raining here too.
you're so adorable!
