I like how he is showing you how to go about it in an effective but not fast way to help with learning the skill set to get good at everything and not forget key details. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast on display.
I love how most of the Phuzzys guides are literally just "hey my guy just chill and have fun" and it's so on point for SoT Hope PS5 players will learn something from it. Their "insane fotd farming 300+ hours" moments are yet to come, so it's best to just learn and take it easy with small yet handy tips
@@Jimothy-723have to disagree with you there, the help in the early days when you’re trying to get your first ship it’s way more loot per hour than any of the voyages. Those and treasuries got me my first sloop in a couple of days.
That's basically what I've been searching for right now, thank you! Reaching lvl 50 on 3 factions is a great goal, but I can't stand that all guides about this process are just saying about 1 op strat which you need to grind like 20-30 times in a row to get your lvl50.
Seeing you take on a galleon, a kraken and two players at the same time completely blew my mind. And to think what killed you was none of those, but rather going upstairs instead of downstairs 😂

I think it's better to do the Gold Hoarder Emissary quest when also doing an extra X marks the spot/riddle on all 4 islands of the emissary quest. The emissary quest doesn't block you from getting a X marks the spot or riddle from the same island. Since you are already going there it should be efficient enough to get the treasure from the standard voyage as well
47:23 another faction bug I’ve come across. The loot from unlocking vaults don’t five emissary grade value for gold hoarder’s when touching it, only for putting on your ship. Edit: nvm, it seems I was mistaken.
@@knyt0 nah you understood correctly. My knowledge was just incorrect & I assumed it was a bug due to it seeming weird from a consistency perspective. Just seems odd that Loot gives emissary grade in certain situations, but not others.
I got sunk last night by a skelly sloop in devils roar. The volcano was hitting me and I just couldn't catch a break between lvl 3 holes and anchorballs. The lava took my mast down. I was on my way to a GH vault
Mind blown at 2:44 when seeing the little ship figures on the emissary table and that’s how to know what emissary flags are being raised by other crews! 💯 🎉

great video. just got my first ship. ive been playing only for one weekend very new to the game. l have a question, i got stuff for my ship so it would look cool but every time i start a game i have to put it on again it doesnt save my picks for the look of the ship. is there something i can do to keep the skins i put on the ship for the color sails wheel and the wheel that lowers the anchor?

One big issue on SoT PS5 is the broken chat system. As a ps5 player I can hear others, they can’t hear me. There have been many situations I feel I could’ve deescalated but since they thought I refused to respond, I was sunk. Trust me, I’ve reviewed every possible setting, this is also apparently wide spread as I’ve seen many posts about this very issue in forums. Also, when I party up with other ps5 players they confirm the same issue. It’s almost crippling in a way, not being able to chat with other boats or prox chat. I can’t get the devs to acknowledge the issue, so I have no idea if they’re aware and or if it will be patched later. I’m pondering the idea of buying an Xbox IF I can move my pirate over. If not then no. I love this game, I haven’t been this infatuated with an online game since EQ dropped in the 90s. I nearly lost my marriage over that game! Anyway, I’m hoping the chat issue gets solved one way or the other so I can participate in a meaningful way on galleons and brigs. I’m abstaining from those ships/crews and solo slooping for now.

Is Gold Hoarders the only faction to let you claim special emissary quests when you reach level 5? Im trying to become a pirate legend and I've already reached level 50 reputation for Gold Hoarders. The other factions though are under level 20.

I've been doing all the tall tale commendations lately and with the monkey island of pirate life tall tales this isnt true, but tall tales on a regular server where you dont teleport is actually a good way to make some money aswell since you visit a lot of islands so youll get some miabs and loot that lays on island like storage crates or skulls. it isnt much but together with the money you get from commendations it actually is quiet nice. But make sure you are with some friends so time passes quicker
For me skelly crews are better than triple skelly captains as they have only Standard skellies with a slightly more durable skelly at the end, award a corrupted bounty skull and will summon on the nearest small island meaning finding them will be a piece of cake whilst triple skelly captains will have shadow and gold skellies which are harder to deal with and gold skellies will take too much time if u don’t have fire or blunderbombs, will summon on the nearest big island making them harder to find, the captains can also be special skellies and all of that for the same loot as a normal skelly crew and two dark bounty skulls.

Whenever i play i use W A S D to turn the cannons and the mouse for fine adjustments. But if you want to use the mouse only i think there are settings for that

Great guide, lol it made me play some Gold Hoarders. However, I'm kinda losing interest in SOT after 1400 hours. These are just my opinions: -HG is not a fun experience because there doesn't seem to be skill-based matchmaking. Also there are still hackers in Season 12 -World Events: Too many Ghost Fleets, not enough FoF, and the Skull Fort loot is just bad imo -Hit Registration feels worse than ever so getting is bad news bears for me -The Emissary Quest nerf is so un fun. The least they could do is make it so you had to leave the flag up, but you could re-earn a set of emissary quests -Skelly Galleons have gone from "Sink them in 2 shots" to "99 cannon balls might not be enough" -Removing quests like "Explosive Loot of Legends"
Can you get pirate legends by doing reaper on 50 cuz i on pc got it form the 3 original faction and now am on ps5 new acc and i have reaper 46 so am not sure
Yes, Reaper and Hunter's Call are both eligible as a company that will get you to pirate legend, though Merchant, OOS, and Gold Hoarder are generally considered the easiest for newer players.
I got extremely bored in sot because I did everything In my power to avoid PvP. If I saw a ship you best believe I immediately turned around. But I recently got back into it. I was never good at PvP but thats cause I never practiced. I’ve now been seeking out PvP and its way more fun this way. Especially with the funny encounters you can have with other players. Hell today i saw this Galleon who just did a fort of fortune I was going to. Im a solo Slooper but I thought “Fuck it I have absolutely nothing to lose”. I literally had nothing. I did everything in my power to track and sink this galleon. They boarded me twice, lit my entire ship on fire, anchored me, killed me a few times, put an excessive amount of holes in my ship, but I did sink them. I came out victorious. My ship literally sunk right after theirs but I sunk then so im okay with it. One funny thing that happened during that encounter is I was on the back of my sloop on the cloth and this guy tried boarding me but failed so bad and I saw him in the water and I said “Fucka you motherfucker” and shot him then he said “Fuck you bitch” and he was some french guy and it was just hilarious.
@@PhuzzyBond Today I dove for ashen lost shipment; found key by devils ridge NPC, along with clue page speaking with her that send me to R21, far out of the route. From there , I sailed north to find the shipwreck around t18
@@PhuzzyBond we used this technique over and over to quickly get emissary five as merchants. Even playing solo, the places that Phuzzy mentions in The Devils Roar is guaranteed finding the manifest or list shipment fast.
Do you have any advice on how to overcome fear in order to do shipwrecks? I have a terrible fear of depths, and seeing the shipwrecks beneath the water offers a point of reference to how deep the water is. The only treasure I've ever been able to get from a shipwreck was a chest from the crow's nest that was poking out above the water, only because I snagged it with my ship's harpoon and didn't have to enter the water. In one of my first (and last) attempts to swim down to a wreck, I wanted to fling myself as far away from my computer and the ground as possible and had to just abandon that concept of searching for treasure. The fact I heard a siren made it worse, and I think even if I manage to overcome or desensitize my fear of depths and am doing a wreck, hearing another siren while I'm down will freak me out and make me abort mission anyway. This fear has caused me to turn down a reaper chest in a wreck five gridspaces away from the selling location. But watching others explore shipwrecks is fine, I'm just a passive observer then.
Say to yourself that's not real, that your on the land sit in your room doesn't help? Or swimming with no sound, or not watching diving till you re in the shipwrecked ship? Idk, I have problem with other phobia, most times when I directly see the trigger object, picture the causes, or think about it then, I start to weaken, blood pressure drops, often I have to just lay down to avoid fainting, my nervous system is off somehow. When the acute episode is over (can take some minutes), I usually recovered bit, I can tolerate more.
Why is every PS5 Player such a Sweat Lord? As a PS5 Player myself i feel super sorry to be part of this Community. Yesterday i helped a solo Sloop killing a Kraken and in Return i got backstepped. After i killed him twice the dude yelled at me with his 5$ Microphone. Then i sink him and got all the Loot. He even messeged me in PSN which is ridiculous. Already met so many cool an chill people who helped me and teached me some tricks but 90% of the time i got attacked is by some sweaty ps5 Players.
at this point i have plenty i want to do. but literally not a soul to do it with. my friends quit ages ago and don't really plan on coming back as they don't like the PvP in the game. and Pug group i get on the official SoT discord falls apart just as easy as open crew and most of the discords from content creators have people who only complain about how PvP isn't good anymore and that it's the only thing they like in the game. i love SoT, but i'm very close to just quitting all together too.
I had a similar experience with real life friends; none of them stuck with the game. I just played with a lot of random folks on creator Discords and over time, developed several people who I liked playing with regularly. We formed a guild, and now we're full and there is almost always someone to play with. It takes time to find your friends in the game, but if you make the effort, they're out there.
@@Mystic-Midnight what did you expect doing that? that other players will leave you alone? if you dont want to do pvp and not to sink while on high seas you gotta be stealthy, sea posts are super easy to spot, if you absolutely have to fish at a post you can hide your ship and take a rowboat instead
@@Mystic-Midnight my personal tip for fishing is Mermaid cove or smt like that 1. You can hide your ship easily 2. Close to a selling point 3. And lots of sand and grass to dig up worms

It is a setting in vc that is turned off, trust me I had the same problem

For new players you should always have a voyage voted! This allows you to gain nautical miles toward your chosen faction

You cannot customize the Wheel, whatever appears there is related to what you're interacting with

Customizable sensitivity in options i believe. May also be slower with a ball in it

Can you sell barnacle loot to sovereigns? I did it the other day and it looked like it didn’t count it so don’t do it anymore
It should count, sometimes you need to open the Commendations Tab twice to update.
If it doesn't just keep it to GH to make sure it counts

Great guide, lol it made me play some Gold Hoarders. However, I'm kinda losing interest in SOT after 1400 hours. These are just my opinions:
-HG is not a fun experience because there doesn't seem to be skill-based matchmaking. Also there are still hackers in Season 12
-World Events: Too many Ghost Fleets, not enough FoF, and the Skull Fort loot is just bad imo
-Hit Registration feels worse than ever so getting is bad news bears for me
-The Emissary Quest nerf is so un fun. The least they could do is make it so you had to leave the flag up, but you could re-earn a set of emissary quests
-Skelly Galleons have gone from "Sink them in 2 shots" to "99 cannon balls might not be enough"
-Removing quests like "Explosive Loot of Legends"

Can you get pirate legends by doing reaper on 50 cuz i on pc got it form the 3 original faction and now am on ps5 new acc and i have reaper 46 so am not sure
Yes, Reaper and Hunter's Call are both eligible as a company that will get you to pirate legend, though Merchant, OOS, and Gold Hoarder are generally considered the easiest for newer players.

I got extremely bored in sot because I did everything In my power to avoid PvP. If I saw a ship you best believe I immediately turned around. But I recently got back into it. I was never good at PvP but thats cause I never practiced. I’ve now been seeking out PvP and its way more fun this way. Especially with the funny encounters you can have with other players. Hell today i saw this Galleon who just did a fort of fortune I was going to. Im a solo Slooper but I thought “Fuck it I have absolutely nothing to lose”. I literally had nothing. I did everything in my power to track and sink this galleon. They boarded me twice, lit my entire ship on fire, anchored me, killed me a few times, put an excessive amount of holes in my ship, but I did sink them. I came out victorious. My ship literally sunk right after theirs but I sunk then so im okay with it. One funny thing that happened during that encounter is I was on the back of my sloop on the cloth and this guy tried boarding me but failed so bad and I saw him in the water and I said “Fucka you motherfucker” and shot him then he said “Fuck you bitch” and he was some french guy and it was just hilarious.
Recently I have difficulties with lost shipments: I don't find seagulls, completed 2 with no key founds (even with all clues)

@@PhuzzyBond Today I dove for ashen lost shipment; found key by devils ridge NPC, along with clue page speaking with her that send me to R21, far out of the route. From there , I sailed north to find the shipwreck around t18
@@PhuzzyBond we used this technique over and over to quickly get emissary five as merchants. Even playing solo, the places that Phuzzy mentions in The Devils Roar is guaranteed finding the manifest or list shipment fast.

Do you have any advice on how to overcome fear in order to do shipwrecks? I have a terrible fear of depths, and seeing the shipwrecks beneath the water offers a point of reference to how deep the water is. The only treasure I've ever been able to get from a shipwreck was a chest from the crow's nest that was poking out above the water, only because I snagged it with my ship's harpoon and didn't have to enter the water. In one of my first (and last) attempts to swim down to a wreck, I wanted to fling myself as far away from my computer and the ground as possible and had to just abandon that concept of searching for treasure. The fact I heard a siren made it worse, and I think even if I manage to overcome or desensitize my fear of depths and am doing a wreck, hearing another siren while I'm down will freak me out and make me abort mission anyway. This fear has caused me to turn down a reaper chest in a wreck five gridspaces away from the selling location. But watching others explore shipwrecks is fine, I'm just a passive observer then.

Say to yourself that's not real, that your on the land sit in your room doesn't help? Or swimming with no sound, or not watching diving till you re in the shipwrecked ship? Idk, I have problem with other phobia, most times when I directly see the trigger object, picture the causes, or think about it then, I start to weaken, blood pressure drops, often I have to just lay down to avoid fainting, my nervous system is off somehow. When the acute episode is over (can take some minutes), I usually recovered bit, I can tolerate more.
Sounds like you have thalassophobia…maybe therapy will help. Nothing to be ashamed of therapy is for anyone!

Why is every PS5 Player such a Sweat Lord? As a PS5 Player myself i feel super sorry to be part of this Community. Yesterday i helped a solo Sloop killing a Kraken and in Return i got backstepped. After i killed him twice the dude yelled at me with his 5$ Microphone. Then i sink him and got all the Loot. He even messeged me in PSN which is ridiculous. Already met so many cool an chill people who helped me and teached me some tricks but 90% of the time i got attacked is by some sweaty ps5 Players.

Commendations will unlock the same, but value and reputation is only 30%
Pretty sure it’s decreased, but I recommend you just go to a seapost in the devils roar and fish there

at this point i have plenty i want to do. but literally not a soul to do it with.
my friends quit ages ago and don't really plan on coming back as they don't like the PvP in the game.
and Pug group i get on the official SoT discord falls apart just as easy as open crew and most of the discords from content creators have people who only complain about how PvP isn't good anymore and that it's the only thing they like in the game.
i love SoT, but i'm very close to just quitting all together too.
I had a similar experience with real life friends; none of them stuck with the game. I just played with a lot of random folks on creator Discords and over time, developed several people who I liked playing with regularly. We formed a guild, and now we're full and there is almost always someone to play with. It takes time to find your friends in the game, but if you make the effort, they're out there.

Every time I try to level up fishing I get sunk:( like I've fully handed over supplies and any loot cause I'd rather fish in higher seas.
avoid or fight players instead of giving them loot, hide your ship behind islands, don't use an emissary flag

@@Mystic-Midnight what did you expect doing that? that other players will leave you alone? if you dont want to do pvp and not to sink while on high seas you gotta be stealthy, sea posts are super easy to spot, if you absolutely have to fish at a post you can hide your ship and take a rowboat instead
@@Mystic-Midnight my personal tip for fishing is Mermaid cove or smt like that
1. You can hide your ship easily
2. Close to a selling point
3. And lots of sand and grass to dig up worms
