As someone currently playing the piece in an orchestra, trust me. It's pretty much two quavers out. You can see this as the viola player at 1:19 moves and plays the longer note to which it changes from quaver staccato to more tenuto-like dotted crotchets visually approximately two quavers before the note sounds.
very well! WOW! Ya'll are amazing! I play in the the orchestra, & I hope to be as good as THEY are one day...long practice, and lots of mistakes, but I'll get there some day!!! :)
menuhin's conducting is very demanding and for trained listeners.listen to a slower version to understand all the minor melodies. its like a harmony exercise, in a simple fashion. made by a genius though..
I've seen the music for this viola part and yes, it's quavers at that section, moving to crotchets. Anyway, don't care so much for the visuals here, the audio is great.
Excellent for me... Something strange bar 87 first beat : cellos playing "h" instead of "d". The broken harmonic relation sounds good here but not according to Bärenreiter ? Someone played it with "h" or is it Menuhin's idea ?
You're right. Every musician that came before Mozart was in error, waiting for a composer-christ to show them the way. Nietzsche would have also called you a weakling, clinging to the slave morality, for participating in hero-worship.

I tracked this song down from the centerlink waiting line ! it was annoying first but now i love it along with the other pieces. do you happen to know the other pieces by any chance ?
I love Menuhin's conducting.
Great!
Written by a 16 year old. Such divine elegance.....Immortal Master.
This lifts my spirits to heaven. Mozart was a gift from God that still keeps giving today!!!!
This is such a fun piece!!!! I love it love it love it love it!! I would listen to this every night before I went to sleep when I was a child.
Excellent. One of my favourite Mozart divertimenti; a great sense of closure and wonderful phrasing.
My best & favorite part of Mozart ! I Love it. Thanks for you !
Love the dischords, just send shivers down your spine!
What an amazingly pert piece of music.
BRAVO !
Absolutely Amazing!

OMGAWD?! How amazing!
Thanks for the chills up my spine!
Muchas gracias, me encanta. Me has hecho feliz!!!
La alegría de vivir.
Loved it!!! Very steady and musical sounded like a quartet every section sounded like 1 instrument
Inigualable, eterno...
This song has a direct affect on the brain's function. This is a Mozart Effect piece.
thank goodness I wasn't there...I would jump up and hug and kiss the maestro!!! He is LIVING the piece
beautiful
gracias !!
I played this in class today for the first time with my Chamber group.
I would have to agree with you, without a doubt.
Awesome second violin fast part!
great!
very good! che stile!
It's beautiful very well !!! 3&1:Mocart+orcestra+Menuhin=Genium L'art
wonderful, the sound of happiness
Genius!
yay!
This piece proves second violins work just as hard, if not harder, than firsts.
I remember playing second violin on this, and I completely agree with you, that second violin part was difficult
@LeamingtonSteve - that is an understatement...
perfect tempo
the 1st violin part is what i want to play
nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2nd violin... that one part with the endless sixteenths.. lol fun.
i wanna play this piece soo bad this quick!!!!(i dont play it fast enough) its sooo much fun!!!
Habe Link, gesetzt, danke!
very well! WOW! Ya'll are amazing! I play in the the orchestra, & I hope to be as good as THEY are one day...long practice, and lots of mistakes, but I'll get there some day!!! :)
Yup. That's what this did to me too!
menuhin's conducting is very demanding and for trained listeners.listen to a slower version to understand all the minor melodies. its like a harmony exercise, in a simple fashion. made by a genius though..
indeed so, my Italian friend. I was deliberately understating his genius for effect.
@Samoriah You are rigth, all of them were extraordinary musicians, also Handel, Rameau, ecc, BUT, Mozart is the jewel of the crown.
I am learning this in my school orchestra and it is not easy. They play it very well though.
The only reason it looks out is because the picture is a split second behind the audio. You only have to listen to them
Amadeus for ever
sphere- I think WAM is my favourite composer.
Mozart wrote some quite good tunes
hey I am in lisfa too, see you all in a few days haha
im in lisfa too! i was just practicing this piece and decided to youtube it haha
we're doing this for lisfa (long island string festival)
imagine a bunch of 14-15 year olds playing this piece ._.
@scottjlee98 Probably because the conductor prefered it in this speed.
actually you're right, the dude does look like an older version of the Lange portrait Mozart
whats that compisition thats alot like this but a bit more staccato? Could someone please help me?
anyone knows about the detail of this concert ?
our school's (Tallinn Music High School) orcestra is playing that piece .. it's not easy ;) :D
LOL you are right!
Thanks for the upload. Why didn't you mention that the orchestra is the legendary Moscow Virtuosi?
I've seen the music for this viola part and yes, it's quavers at that section, moving to crotchets. Anyway, don't care so much for the visuals here, the audio is great.
@scottjlee98 because that is specified in the score
i protect my anonymity >:)
however, you were really easy to find out. A quick glance at the program -_-
where are the part 2 and 3 ?
We are playing this song right now in school...my hand is killing me...but it's pretty
Bob Hoskins on the first violin section
@JupiterIV Yes
Can Any ONe Give me the Orchestra Piece for this??? Plzzzzzzzzz
i gotta download the mp3 of this for the scmea video contest... if i win you'll know which video... it's the funny one
Excellent for me... Something strange bar 87 first beat : cellos playing "h" instead of "d". The broken harmonic relation sounds good here but not according to Bärenreiter ? Someone played it with "h" or is it Menuhin's idea ?
Its "Moscow Virtuosi”!
@gihahm - well...I love this tempo, I conduct it exactly in this tempo, too... :)
@Grobanite122549 Yup, same here, noodles :)
What is the name of the orchestra?
cool... are you in scmea too
Nietzsche said "Without music, life would be an error", and I say "Without Mozart, music would be an error". Is not it ?
they play grace notes fully?
its funny!!
I wonder what this would be like just a hair slower...Does anyone else think this might be just a bit too fast?
im in east... wait were u a violin 1 or 2 in lisfa
lol same. also, the pages are all weird. The numbers are like 1,2,4,9,10.
@LeamingtonSteve "Some quite good tunes"??????'i think he is the best composer of every times!
yup... are you in east, central or west? I think it sucks that i made a friend in lisfa but she's in east and im in west D:
Do you want the orchestral score?
yeah, you're right.. why, what do you play?
who says the older fellas can't rock out?
Erm.. The guy around 1:15 does have a shoulder and I believe a chin rest also.
Not really clear, youtube vid quality is minimal ;)
@beradification i like 0:00 - 3:59
@RavenMischke LOL my teacher calls them noodles XD hahah. I switched to 1st :) lol
You're right. Every musician that came before Mozart was in error, waiting for a composer-christ to show them the way. Nietzsche would have also called you a weakling, clinging to the slave morality, for participating in hero-worship.
But... what about violas?... :)
i bet you play the violin. you were violin 1 to be exact
and you play the bass
Menuhin conducts without the score.

+Wonderful waiting music, lucky people those who have to wait...

Still, first violin was more fun :P
VERY obvious at 0:22, 1:12-1:21
It's more clear if you watch their fingers.
oh..... i want to figure out who you are
