♥️
BRAVO !
Brilliant! Many subtle details are exposed as if hearing it afresh. The rhythmic momentum is maintained skilfully.
What is the name of the orchestra?
Stuttgarter Kammerorchester Dennis Russell Davies Mozart K546
What an amazingly pert piece of music.
Wonderful
Is it not possible to post the entire performance?
a 2001 performance once on the now defunct andante website, i suppose.
This hall is BRUCKNERHAUS in LInz. Boulez and VPO played Bruckner 9 on 20th Feb. 2001.
Ridiculous adagio tempo. More like andantino ... The dotted eighth motif should be savored, but this tempo just devours it like a savage.
One would think that Boulez would know that piece by heart...alas No.....but still a great presentation
Boulez rarely conducted without a score--only a few pieces, like La Mer and Le Sacre du printemps. One of the reasons he stopped conducting when he did is that he had an eye problem that kept him from being able to see the scores clearly in performance. Could he have gone on conducting without the score in front of him? Probably: no conductor should stand on the podium without knowing the score to the point that it's physically there to function as an aide-memoire.
What a nice version of this song.
This fabulous recording demonstrates to so-called star performers that the real performance capabilities require a composer's mind. This astonishing demonstration of precision, of incredible tempo-memory, of an intellectual focus in the service of the WORK instead of in the self-service of the "performer", combined with Boulez's impeccable ear for transparent sound is far beyond the muddy onania of "expressive romantic" performers - and is lightyears MORE EXPRESSIVE!
op.107 is a series of 10 Variation works on Folk Songs for piano (with flute ad lib) This one is No.3 on a "Volkslied aus Kleinrußland"
Never heard this piece before, wonderful!
Many thanks for this upload
Truly wonderful version!

Pollini gets a tap on the fingers with a ruler from the nun! He plays a Bb instead of a D in the left hand, 4th beat, bar 11. Mama mia!!
Impossible... Must be a misprint !
@@hamjii it would be an easy mistake to make if you are sight reading, but the D would make more harmonic sense, so I think it's right. However... Beethoven was a cheeky monkey with details like this and often made petite changes so as to bilk another publisher. Which I wouldn't hesitate to do if I were him anyway. Could be the latter. no matter, it's still a very lovely and charming experience listening to it.
@@barney6888 haha, I was joking Barney ! I admire such a musical knowledge to note such details. I myself had never heard this op.108 before, and Pollini was the only reason to notice the work. Finding Kirchschlager was a big bonus though, when I first saw this ten some years ago ! Many thanks
@@hamjii it has a haunting foreshadow or influence of/from Schubert!
Bella rarità!

Furtwangler's baton usually vibrated in his hand A LOT! But it's steady here!

anyone knows about the detail of this concert ?
Boooo, last note is cut short. :( But I enjoyed the other 99.9%.
In Australia, this is the call waiting music for virtually all Human Services phone lines. Anybody who needed unemployment benefits, student assistance, childcare assistance, hardship assistance or any other kind of government help usually spends a good hour or two becoming acquainted with this music. Like Alex de Large, the piece of music is forever ruined for me.
+Wonderful waiting music, lucky people those who have to wait...
I tracked this song down from the centerlink waiting line ! it was annoying first but now i love it along with the other pieces. do you happen to know the other pieces by any chance ?
La beauté à l'état pur! un véritable hymne à la joie!
Love the dischords, just send shivers down your spine!
Inigualable, eterno...
La alegría de vivir.
The Greatest Conductor conducting the overture of the greatest opera, written by the Greatest Composer
no, but I agree with Nietzsche.
1:36 Nietzsche look alike on the far right.
But... what about violas?... :)
I wonder what this would be like just a hair slower...Does anyone else think this might be just a bit too fast?
Still, first violin was more fun :P
I remember playing second violin on this, and I completely agree with you, that second violin part was difficult
I played this in class today for the first time with my Chamber group. I would have to agree with you, without a doubt.
You're right. Every musician that came before Mozart was in error, waiting for a composer-christ to show them the way. Nietzsche would have also called you a weakling, clinging to the slave morality, for participating in hero-worship.
Will
well whats your first name? just your first name so you'll remain unknown... alright good luck...?
i gotta download the mp3 of this for the scmea video contest... if i win you'll know which video... it's the funny one
