We've come a long way and it sucks that we didn't make the super bowl this year but last year we were out of our minds happy to have won our first playoff game since 30 years ago. The refs didn't go our way that game but hey, I'm at least grateful that we're in the conversation again and that most teams are seriously scared of us. In reality the Bengals didn't take advantage of the opportunities they had and the Chiefs played slightly better and eeked out a win. It wasn't a statement about anything, it was just a close game the Chiefs won.

Looking at the Bengals you have to be objective! Burrow gets a contract this year and Chase next year. That’s a minimum of 60M/year! Mixon will be a cap casualty this year. Not to mention you’ve got Bates and Bell along with several others. Then you’ll probably lose Higgins. That OL has been patch work and none of those guys are pieces you want long term. Once the QB is off a rookie contract you start living in NFL reality as opposed to the fantasy land that gives you. Chiefs traded Hill and Ward and lost several others. That’s with Mahomes and Kelce accepting contracts well below market value. Burrow may do that but I don’t see Chase taking anything below 30M per. I hope the Bengals figure it out and this becomes a rivalry for years to come. The Bills are going to be much worse next year with Allen, Diggs, and Miller’s cap numbers all SKYROCKETING! Their GM is already bitching about it likes he’s not the one responsible for it. Chargers have to pay Herbert, Ravens have to pay Lamar, Broncos stuck with Russ’ insane number, Browns stuck with Watson’s number. The AFC spent all this money coming for the Chiefs and couldn’t get it done. Now the Chiefs are in one of the best spots cap and draft capital wise to boot. Good luck AFC!! This was your chance and you blew it.
