    People don’t understand what it means to have been a Chiefs fan well before Pat. The days of Trent Green, Priest Holmes, Eddie Kenninson (Larry Johnson.) The days of Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle, even Tyler Thigpen… To Alex Smith, and Dwayne Bowe… To where we are now. I had accepted the mediocrity, and was prepared to live out my life as a sad Chiefs fan lol

      This notion that it shouldn't have been called at all is ludicrous. That penalty has been called the Entire NFL season no matter what position the player that got shoved was playing. There was another Bengals player in front of Mahomes and he literally stopped and didn't attempt to hit Mahomes.

      @@joeking433 The Chiefs had 371 total yards and the Bengals 341. So, no they didn't outdo the Chiefs. More importantly, Mahomes had 326 Yards, 2 TDs, and no interceptions. Burrow had 270 yards, 1 TD and 2 interceptions. That was the difference in the game if anything was.

By the middle of the second quarter, the Chiefs had three healthy receivers, one of whom was a rookie and another just elevated off the practice squad and Mahomes was playing with a bad ankle.     When did it happen that football games became quarterback vs quarterback? It's the quarterback vs the defense. It's a really silly way to put it and is a recent thing that commentators started saying. It puts the rest of the team below the importance of the QB. Mahomes did NOT beat Burrow, the KC defense beat Burrow and Mahomes beat the Bengals defense.

      In 7 playoff games burrow lead his offense to 22 points per game and threw 9 td passes.
      In 13 playoff games mahomes lead his offense to 31 ppg and has thrown 32 td passes.
      One contributes far more than the other. If people told the truth, they would admit the defense did the heavy lifting in both bengals playoff runs

      Joe had no time and was pressures and sacked all day while Mahomes having the best O line in the NFL had an easy time. That's why everyone is talking about Joe rather than Mahomes.

      @@joeking433 best O-line is the Eagles by FAR. The Chiefs tackles have struggled all year, too, and Mahomes had a better game than Burrow while dealing with a high ankle sprain. Also, Mahomes finished the game throwing to backup TEs and WRs against a healthy, solid, veteran secondary, and Burrow had Chase and Higgins against 4 rookie DBs and had a worse performance. If the script had been flipped, everyone would talk about how Mahomes struggled against rookies and how Burrow without his weapons was unbelievable, but they’re not.

    I've been watching the NFL since the 60,s and I have seen all the greats ...but as far as playing the game like he came from the future and how he has changed the way every team recruits and builds there roster and will be the poster boy for the NFL for years to come

    I’ve watched about every Chiefs game in the last 20 years and anyone complaining about officiating helping the Chiefs can 🍼. KC has been taken out of so many games including the playoffs by questionable calls and poor, seemingly biased officiating; that I consider anything leaning our way as a historical make-up call. That being said, the game was officiated adequately. Quit crying…. We have been told this multiple times, it’s your turn.

    I’m old and I’ve been watching the NFL since the early 60’s , I’ve seen almost all the greats and I’m not even joking when I say Patrick Mahomes is the greatest football player I’ve ever watched and I am not a chiefs fan.
    Obviously this is my opinion which I’m sure many of you will scoff at but for me it’s just the truth…

    So much to love about the Chiefs and Mahomes for neutrals - and even supporters of any other team (rAFC West notwithstanding) - they give you exactly what you want to see.
    That said, I think the Eagles will be too much for them in 2 weeks time. They are so strong everywhere.

    People keep saying that pushing mahomes when he's out of bounds will get called every time but as someone who's watched every snap of mahomes since the chiefs drafted him, no, that isn't always called. I've seen him go out of bounds and get shoved into benches, heaters, those big fans, people, and most of the time there's no call. I'm actually surprised when it does get called. But of course no one cares or believes me when I say that because he's a star so of course it gets called all the time. Trust me, it doesn't.

      Its not that he was shoved and flew into the benches, its that the contact didn't happen until AFTER Mahomes had already stepped out of bounds. Thats the difference. And when that happens, they ALWAYS throw that flag.

    That was a penalty every time I have seen it. He didn't push him out of bounds he pushed him when he was already out of bounds and that is always called. He didn't even try to pull up he SHOVED Mahomes. It is a penalty. Period.

    The Bengals defense didn't do anything after the intercept. 3 shitty passes, totally PM fault they didn't convert that interception. That and multiple missed passes and the fumble from PM kept burrow and co in the game. If PM didn't make those mistakes it would have been a blood bath of a game.
