    Nice job Audrey! I know how hard it can be for us designers to pop out of our shells and talk to the world. Especially about our work. Studio looks great! You're understanding of your users really comes across. Thank you!

    WOW: This is a great tool. I am 75 years old and have shaper origin, workstation, and ordered plate. So far having a lot of fun with these tools. I use to be a software designer for a aero space company than worked for a pharmaceutical company in the research department. I loved it and received awards and recognition for outstanding design and in one case saved the company tremendous embarrassment in the research community for averting a failure. So I know when I see great designs. And this TOOL hits it of the park homerun. Everyone involved should be extremely proud. Before this tool I have been using AI, but this tool has made me a convert on day one.
    THANK YOU

    I really like a lot of the features I’m seeing but one main thing I’m not seeing is managing the fillets especially for inlays. Maybe it can handle this but I’m not seeing how yet. Cutting the inside and then the outside looks like you could have corners that don’t match up.
    Also the other thing that will be useful is some type of layers.
    Other than that (and I suspect these will be added if it’s not already there) I’m really happy with what it can do!

    One last thing I forgot to add: I think Eistein made the statement that simplicity if highly underrated. I think the ability to achieve simplicity while still maintaining flexibiltiy is a mark of people who know what they are doing and can express it.

    Hello Audrey, great job on the video. I’ve had my Shaper for 8 months now and I would like to start being able to create some files in Studio and send them both to my machine and add them into the community area as well. I would love to see the next video where you sketch up the legs. I have been trying to make them or just a simple tenon in Studio and find it difficult. Thanks, Matt

    Is there anyway to put fillets onto shapes for inlays and custom mortise and tenons? Tried putting circles close to the shapes and shape-shifting but couldn't get it to work. A fillet function would be great

    Is there a way to duplicate and save as a different file? I want to make a adjustments but keep the original, when I save it and import to a new file it is all grouped together. Also is there a way to choose the engraving bit in plan view?

    Is anyone on a Mac finding that the Magic Mouse is really sensitive and jittery when using Studio? I think it might have to do with mouse settings in Accessibility (Scrolling -> with/without Inertia) but am not entirely sure. Any suggestions?

    Cool, you're using The Noun Project's database of free/3 bucks a month SVGs.
    It IS nice to have the option to pay for this circle-square editor at 50% of the price of adobe illustrator after buying a $2600 shaper.

    I have to say, I’m pretty impressed with the people at Shaper. The creativity is remarkable. Nice work all around. One thing I hope to use Studio for is verifying SVG files before sending them to my Origin, something I’ve pined for. Some inlays I have to make in Illustrator because they are too complicated or made from image tracing. I’ll pull them in here and verify the cut types, etc. combined with the hardware library I’m good to go for another round of Christmas presents.

    Now all the people who were too dim to figure out any of the existing, well-documented software can be too dim to figure out your own undocumented in-house recreation of Cricut Studio which you don't have enough support staff to cover. That's the kind of roadmap planning you can only learn how to do at General Assembly.

    • @du3lmaul3rs50
      @du3lmaul3rs50 Год назад

      I see where you are coming from, especially when it comes to supporting unintuitive users; but, I do see some benefits to using in-house software for this case. The Plan tab alone makes it much faster to pre-set all your cut paths with actual encoding instead of color based selection that before wouldn't give you the ability to set cut depth and bit size. And the Review tab makes for a quick check on ensuring you dialed in your settings correctly before testing on tool. And the fact that everything auto saves/syncs to your Shaper account/tool is a much better way to manage files than doing it manually. While I do want to see this expanded on (with corner radius settings for inlays, etc.) I see this as a big win for people who own Shaper especially.

      @@du3lmaul3rs50 They were smart. Any features that make this more useful than any of the existing software (set cutting path, combining shapes, etc) are all in the paid version. I've avoided subscription fees so far with my selected software. Would want better features for fillet etc.

    Communication suggest… work on Removing the rasp out of your voice…completely unnecessary… and makes it hard to listen to. Makes you sound sleepy or bored. Rasp missing at 10:30, you flip in and out of it (the rasp) throughout the video which shows you can do it.
