I think its cuz of the landscape. Most of the racing games are in cities where its really obv how bad it looks. I am sure if you wouldve just zoomed in on the surface it would look absolutely horrific

believe it or not, i struggled a lot trying to pass the 7 minutes mission with the Mclaren F1, the traffic was hard to avoid, but with time i memorized every place where they would spawn, i was 13 at the time, i felt a great relief when i finished the game completely, another hard race was a time trial race where the limit was 1:40 minutes to get the gold medal, you had to use a lamborghini reventon roadster, i tried finishing it so many times, when i decided to give it a last try, i finished it, and with that race i finished the whole game, i also played it while listening to many linkin park songs, they were very energetic and i would always blast the nitro when a drop came in the different songs of the band, the best races i had were with the Zonda F and the murcielago sv, and the Zonda cinque has to be the car with the most unique sound i have ever heard among all the racing games, probably the most realistic one, glory to the year 2010 thanks to this game, i know a remaster was released, but i still prefer the original in its purest form.
God I miss the song, my dad literally had 7/8 year old me replay this race so he could find the song. We both fell in love with it, hits so much harder nearly 10 years later
The game mode Hot Pursuit is the most difficult both for cop and racer! Cop you bust 7 racers, Racer/felon your vehicle gets rammed and destroyed before you complete the race!
