- Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react to the Los Angeles Lakers 121-103 defeat to the Chicago Bulls. Chicago's big 3 of Zach Lavine, Demar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball combined for 91 points in their road victory. The Lakers were led by a 25 point 4 turnover performance by Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis managed totaling 20 points before being ejected early. The Lakers shot 6 for 32 (18%) from 3 point range and were outscored in the paint 54 to 40 despite Chicago playing without their all star center Nikola Vucevic.

A Russ 3 point shot is basically a turnover in my mind, he shoots sub 30%, but his teammates also probably hate watching him dribble into shots, make or miss it kills their morale.
You can say that about 90% of the 3 point shooters in the league. When they shoot it is a brick and had just about zero chance at scoring. League average 35%. So 65% of the time it might as well be a turn over. It had no chance at all. So blame Russ for 6 misses. That's why they lost by 18. Because we all know the Lakers who shot 6 for 36 from 3? Would have made all 6 3s had Russ passed it to them. You are clueless.
You clearly don't understand what avg is and how bad 30% is compared to 35%...
If a team only shot 3s and one team shoots 30% and the other shoots 35% the score would look something like 100 vs 120. So yes whenever a sub 30% shooter shoots that's actually helping the opposing team

Yeah, it was never lethal. He had games where he was on point and then games where he couldn't hit the rim. What kills me is that on those OKC teams, he lead the team in shot attempts 3 times with a healthy KD on the court. Mind blowing... 5 times if you count the year KD went down for most of the year and then another year in which KD missed 15 games... and then those other years, Westbrook wasn't too far behind in attempts. He should be 4th or 5th on shot attempts for this team. He is currently #1, AD #2, Carmelo #3

The third quarter of the Minnesota game everybody was god-awful on defense. Everybody. The only one that had some sort of energy was Russ. Lonzo ball is a much better guard than westbrook. Half the contract, younger, better facilitator, MUCH BETTER DEFENDER AND SHOOTER and doesn't need to hog the ball. Westbrook is dribbling the ball off his feet but more importantly, his defender always sags off him to double AD.

They forget quick, that these franchises are also subject to the same nuance (father time, chemistry, compatibility etc.) that comes with building a championship caliber squad in anyother market.
