@@vaibhavphuloria4059 Different words are okay. Turnitin specifically looks for the same succession of words in the same sentence. I tried to change the words with literally the same context and it dropped the similarity percentage from 86% to under 5%.
Does Turnitin detect directly copy in paste? For example, I wrote a paper ALL in my own words on Grammarly and then copied and pasted it into google docs. So will it flag it because I copied and pasted it? or no?
That guy has not followed turn it in similarity instructions just like many instructors that I encountered. Similarity to same answer, how many ways can you correctly answer a specific question?
My french class uses Turnitin, so does anyone know what the teacher sees when I copy what I wrote from a writing tool that lets me writes french accents and paste that in the assignment section? Does it show up as highlighted? Does it show where it came from? Will nothing show up at all because it's not english?
i’ve done TWO essays since the beginning of the semester for one of my classes. wrote them both in my own words (and when i write actual papers i use very sophisticated words in my sentences; like words you would see in a real scientific report as i have always been a great writer), i cite all of my sources and never copy and if i do, i put it in direct quotes, i paraphrase a lot, and do actual research just for turnitin to say that i copied. now my instructor thinks i’m a cheater, which i am not otherwise i wouldn’t learn anything and my degree would be useless. i am literally paying for school. why the hell would i cheat. very irratated with this AI in all honesty. i’m getting ready to tell my instructor that if she would like me to, id be happy to write my next essay right in front of her so she could observe that turnitin is doing me dirty.
here is the problem I use the same cover page for all my assignments. all I change is the Professor's name and the class. Most of my references are copied and pasted. No matter what I do there is always a match with something which is so funny.
Well if you really think about if the lesson plan is the same with the same lecture and videos it makes sense that a lot of the writing from the student will be the same as previous students work. Ban this AI
They've learned to detect AI and I've gotten in trouble even though I didn't use AI. Not only was the turnitin percentage only 3% but the sentences it flagged for AI were pretty normal. It's so not fair because the turnitin system thinks humans are too stupid and anything that is remotely smart is flagged.
i am student and i hate Turnitin
People say writing papers are easier now because of the internet but our work is under a lot more scrutiny.

I can outsmart this stupid program but professors get upset and downgrade me for originality and perfect grammar. Lame program.

If I forward a certain essay via WhatsApp messenger then by email will it raise the percentage of plagerism?
Even the pages, the context, and the declaration will be pink. Will make any difference in the rating?
Can turnitin detect coursehero answers also?
Yes
Professor you trippin off of one sentence?! lol

When Turnitin has marked your work, it presents a Score of how much work has been Plagiarised. In my case, it's 59% and 77% ......... 😭

Please answer this question: will it show if I copy a RUclips comment? I have found some really good analysis, but will it show up?
If it wasn't submitted to turnitin, it will not show up. It doesn't have the "spider web" protocol like google does.
it showed a yahoo answer so there's a chance
I hate turn it in 🙄
