- 50% discount desperation on display in Kerala's Kochi. Thousands throng one of India's largest malls in Kochi. Desperate customers jostled to rush in as the stores were being opened. At one of the stores, people were heard cheering as shutters were being rolled up for a mega sale. The huge crowd of shoppers were gushing out like flood water leading into a stampede like situation. The madness has left the internet bewildered. Paytm Founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma was also flabbergasted and he compared this with iPhone launch in India. I've always seen many people bringing literacy literally into anything which happens bad in Kerala. And they say that all keralites brag abt their literacy rate. But if anyone is also bragging abt it is definitely because of the way literacy is portrayed in our country from other states. I mean even yesterday when I was in a meet with a Padma Shri awardee in education, she was sayin “u know why Keralites are so literate, it's because they eat so and so things” I mean why are people even correlating literacy with things like intelligence and education. Then they make it a stereotype that all malayalees brag abt their 100% literacy rate .....

Omg I remember going for one of this cuz my friends dragged me at 2 in the morning, this happened in lulu trivandrum....never would I have thought trivandrum would have these many people awake at 3 in the morning.
