I working as a system operator at one of this system, and I love this job. before i was a order selector and that job was hard, i was having pain in my knees almost everyday and i was totally exhausted when i come home. Now I want to go to the job , before i hated my job.

Where can I apply? I am currently an order selector and have been doing this for 12+ years, and I hate it.

Unfortunately it is almost impossible to get job at those new systems. They usually hand pick people from the old warehouse and train them to be system operators. Often, more then half of the employees have to go because the system is so effective. Thats the main reason they built systems like this, to save money on the employees.

And yes I can understand why you hate working as a order selector. I hated it to, I was doing that for almost 9 years. My body was all over when i come home from work. To get up the next morning was a hell. My body was totally drain from energy. My knees start to hurt after just 15 min work and after the first hour I started to get tired. You have to pick in such fast speed. I remember that sometimes I wanted to be unemployed just to get the hell out of that warehouse.

Machines don't call out. Machines don't get hurt. Machines don't mispick. Machines don't break product in the warehouse.

Kim Jong-un Of course. Even at our warehouse, pickers kill off 20-30 cases of beer a night. "It's only beer" is the mentality... not seeing the $ value, and it not being theirs. They complain about not getting raises and wonder why.

yes the acuracy is very good. this is the future for logistic. and its not hard work for the workers. not like when you are a orderselector and have to pick over 1200 product per day. and yes the machine dont miss pick and the company saves a lot of money. and they pick much faster just one robot can pick 600 packages on one hour .and they usally have like 15 robots. i remember the worst orderselectors we had on my old company picked 600 packages on one day. they was slow but they dident get fired because they couldn't fire them on such grounds. but the machine they do need some maintenance but still very efficient

@@MarcMercier1971machines DO mispick bud, they are worse for it than any human. I hate our automated warehouse. If I do a 1,500 piece order 4 days a week I need accuracy, these machines have mispicked $20,000 of my product in the last 2 months lmao

Positive for the company to increase the amount delivered to the stores at less cost so why wouldn't they do this. Metro is doing this in 2 years
