Ferry suppose to be Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from Omadhoo to Mahibadhu 9:55 - 10:10h and than Mahibadhu to Dhigurah 13:45 - 15:20h but you double check again in Omadhoo for some updates for the dates you wanna travel, because of the pandemic situation
Hi there, first of all very nice video editing. I have a few questions. 1. Is the island open for tourists ? We want to come End of October this year for 10 nights 2. Any drone owners in there for doing some videos for us ? Thanks a lot.
The island is still not open for tourists. You can check our videos for Maldives reopening for more details. The probable date of local islands reopening is 15th of October, but there are too many requirements for health safety which should be covered and most of the islands will delay the opening. We will update all the important Maldives travel information in our channel. I don't think drone is available in Omadhoo.
Which hotel near the cemetery? I want to be far away from that hotel? What time is the local boat from Omadhoo to Male? How many restaurant in the Omadhoo? Should I reserve full board or just breakfast? Why did you said the cost for speed boat is $25. They told me $40.Why? Thank you.
What is this cemetery you are talking about? Around Turtle Maldives, which we recommend in the video, there is no graveyard. You can find the timing of the transfers in the description of the video, but best to verify with the guest house you are staying. And they will do the reservation of the transfer for you. We said average price, not exact. Right now the price of the transfers is between 35 to 50$ per person per way. Well, after the reopening of the tourism most of the prices are up. There are around 5 local coffee shops and restaurants in Omadhoo. Best is Half board, because if you do trips sometimes lunch is included. Usually the food in the local coffee shops is cheaper than in the hotels, but in the hotels they are adjusting to the taste of the tourists and suggest international cuisines.
Yes, Omadhoo house reef is easily accessible. You can always use life jacket too. We highly recommend you Turtle Maldives guest house for real comfort stay in Omadhoo. They provide also snorkeling equipment for free
There are couple of local coffee shops and restaurants. The food is tasty, but quite spicy and prices are reasonable (avarage 5-6$ per person per meal). Most of the guest houses provide meals too and they adjust the dishes to the European taste.
Please advise us two questions 1) are the beaches not too shallow? That you have to go 100 meters to swim 2) is this island already open after COVID restrictions? Thanks in advance!
It's big lagoon and there is a coral garden, which exploration you can adjust to the high tide hours of the day. There is no issue for swimming. The deeper water is not so far and there is very nice wooden path in the ocean - you can jump from there directly to the deeper - to the edge of the reef. But always in Maldives - not only in Omadhoo - be aware there are currents and they are not a joke. You always get advice from the local people regarding the currents. Omadhoo is open and most of the tourists local islands too. And the weather now is real beautiful!
It is absolutely safe, similar to UAE. Local islands are mostly small fishing villages in the middle of the ocean. Life in these islands is quite simple and relax. People are genuine and nice.

Is it a safe place? What about poverty?

Budget of stay of 1 night?
We really loved Turtle Maldives and we recommend it! They have exceptional service! But one night is definitely not enough :)
