Thanks for the video. I replaced my 2003 4Runner 2WD front shocks today. Just need to loosen the two Lower Control Arm bolts and the weight of the Shock would drop the LCA to the floor, and the shock just came right out. I did not have to remove any ball joint, only the top sway bar rod. Will bring the truck into Toyota dealer for alignment next week.
It didn’t have to be that hard! All you had to do was remove the 2 bolts on the bottom of the LCA. The bottom ball joint doesn’t come out either. The LCA hinges down and the strut comes right out.
