I'm so proud. My brother Krzysztof Smaga at D&S Yacht Design has designed this boat for Northman Poland 😍
Awesome! 🙂
He done a brilliant job
@@stevenbatley8666 He surely did 🙂
Amen sista
Cool. I visited Kravow. Beautiful city.
Polish people are very friendly and hardworking.
I've met loads of them here in Ireland.
Our cultures are very similar, despite being on the opposite ends of Europe. ❤🤍🇮🇩
GREAT BOAT!! Love the layout.Comfortable bow seating, pilothouse door, reversable cockpit seating. An absolute winner
The only negative with this boat is portside seating, got to sit low and backwards, imagine 6 footers.Should have reversable seating option, hey?
Yes,for sure needs passenger forward seating,so many new boats only have captn seat only looking ahead. They design to be floating condos, comfy dockside only, checkout carvers marquis 42,awesome boat but 1 seat, thats ALL!!!!!!! FORWARD VIEW
I am like a broken record Nick, but it never fails to impress me the amount of space the design crew pack into these smaller boats.. Very impressive indeed.. And I love that touch with the sunbeds up top.. Thanks for showing us around Nick.
I'm* or I* am
That’s a lot of boat for the money and I’d guess ideally suited to rivers or slowly cruising down the coast.
I thought you’d missed the steps when you went passed the first time. Foolish me to think you would!! Nice little bonus area.
Thanks Nick 👍
Depends on your intentions but this is not an ocean boat, and I personally would never buy a 40ft boat with a single engine, unless of course it was a sailboat. Beautiful boat, though!
@@professorvoluck9311 It is not a ocean boat, as moast of them are not, this one has a UE Cat B though...
@@professorvoluck9311 only one boat I would buy for the ocean ,Nelson,Dale,Seaward, most of the Boats i see, spend most of their life on the Marina or just pottering around the coast.
What an EPIC 40 footer! Be awesome for the great circle route in the United States, as well as Florida to the Bahamas. Brilliant design! Be happy, be safe
I love sailboat but this boat, have the best qualty/price, that i have ever seen.
I love all natural light
Brilliant freshwater family boat.
Lots of space, six to sleep, lots of outdoor relaxing possibilities, nice materials, very nice boat indeed.
Serious features for the money! It’s all the boat you’d ever need! Great tour. Thanks Nick
Thanks for watching!
This is a great boat, massive amounts of clever designing, squeezing 3 good cabins and two heads into that amount of space is brilliant.
One of the best boats that you have shown at that price range if not the best, I love the single engine, the secret area and the two heads. Loads of space for two families, the extra freezer is great as is where the TV is.
I've looked at boats ranging from a few hundred thousand to around twenty million. I love this one above most others, it's exceptional. If I had a million or two, I'd gladly ride around the waves in this and stare at my remaining money (or watch it disappear on fuel from taking people around in it ☺️👍)
yes its really incredible what you get for the price with this boat
Impressed with the layout on this boat . Love that there are 2 heads on it ....don't they say that 2 heads are better than 1 , 😁 . Really like the sunbeds on the top . Thanks Nick 👍. You and Maryanne stay safe out there.
Thanks, you too! :)
given the awesome reliability of marine heads, having two that are identical has some advantages. I am amazed by some famous brand long range trawlers with just one and it would be a long trip if that head 'kraps' out, eh?
And thank you Nick for this nice show of this Northman 1200 I happy that you give a nice explanation of this boat for us you are the first one who do this I think. There is also a electric moter what is powered with a feul cell when I am right thanks again Nick
I like this boat from Northman, the design of the heads is great and flexible. This is a river and sea boat with a good range of mileage. Looks like a sturdy boat which gives you what you need
That's a damn cool 40' boat. Really giving some of the other small cabin cruiser boats a run for the money. Perfect little bay or bayou boat too. Go out to about 12 miles offshore and camp beyond the city lights. Enjoy the stars and fish.
What a lovely 40 footer its got some great features and looks like a tough little cookie for 250k
I found Nick by accident. He's great, knows what he's talking about, but never pretentious. Shows you all the boat clearly.
Welcome aboard! 🙂
for the price they ask is excellent! versatile, fully loaded, lots of space...
No matter what the boat, Nick makes it worth watching, and in this case, it's a VERY nice boat, and a bargain at that price. Nice layout, and pretty cozy for family getaways. Thanks again, Nick!!
Finally someone can actually build an affordable boat without scrimping on the necessities. Very interesting boat. As always thanks for sharing Nick.
Thanks for watching!
I don't even own not have the money to buy any boat lol but I can say if I were to choose any if I had the money it would be this one 😍. Exquisite piece of engineering and design. Looks fantastic
Thanks Nick for making people aware of some brilliant new boats and just not from the mainstream manufacturers.
If the covers of the sink are placed in such a way that they completely cover the electrical outlets, oil etc. droplets that will splash from the food cooked on the stove will not contaminate them.
The refrigerator in the kitchen is small, it is better to replace the cupboard in the living room with a refrigerator of that size instead, and a dishwasher can be put in place of the small refrigerator.
In the master cabin, the bed can be extended a little more (towards the door) and the rear part becomes a cupboard. While sleeping, feet point towards the door
Nice boat. Well laid out. It’s always interesting to see how different builders can come up with their own unique take on things.
Great small boat with plenty of areas for guests and the 2 heads is a great idea...when those numbers come in will be a fantastic sized boat to learn boating for spending pleasantr weekends in before moving up to an Absolute or a Silent Yacht lol
Intelligent design utilizing thoughtful appointments for optimal use of space. Really beautiful.
Are your pricing correct? $250,000 seems low for this boat?
I like it! Why? It is smartly designed with plenty of features that I look for. The range is perfect. I would navigate the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers in this luxury craft. Well done Sir!👍🇺🇸
Love the number of beds! Crew possibilities here...important as a live on. Need to stay in touch. Thanks
Great boat loving the top Secret roof pad
Now this my size of boat, enough room to entertain friends and the ability to accommodate them. Brilliant, keep up these videos they are a life saver. Thats just my opinion of course.
Will do! 🙂
Neat design. I would not be embarrassed about that if I were their engineer or designer. Great video, Nick! Please don't stop spoiling us.
That’s a great boat for the money. I’ve said it once and say it again. Nick you must be so well respected in your field. I could watch your tours all day. It’s nice to see you back out and about again
Thank you 🙂
Wow, I have seen a lot of your videos but this boat has to be the best one I've seen for that "little" money. That is actually a boat I could see my self buying once I'm older and I have the money. I love it and also amazing video as always
Thank you Aquaholic!
My pleasure!
Hi Nick. That is a fantastic boat. Very clever layout. 3 cabins 2 heads with showers for a 40ft. Rear facing aft seating. The cherry on the cake 🎂 sunpads on the roof. Love it. Awesome walkthrough tour thanks 😊
Like it and like the layout, good find Nick
I had to come back after a year and read more comments after another great tour to refresh my memory. What an excellent family ship.A couple can cruise as much as they'd like,or a family for long weekends,or even a couple weeks with re-provisioning.Well designed and executed.TY Northman, and of course you Nick.
GREAT boat . Super practical . Has a bit of a camper feeling . Fun for the whole family . With you . Mark (Toronto) 👍
WOW.. now this one I could like very much. Columbia river curser for sure.. From Portland Oregon down to the ocean for some crabbing and salmon fishing or up to the desert and the snake river for sturgeon fishing.. Wonderful! thanks Nick.. I am gonna look into this one..
Something that always impresses me is how thoroughly knowledgeable you are of all aspects of a boat. There are lots of little cubbies and features to keep track of and you do it so well.
Thank you 🙂
Is the boat still available ?
Very beautiful practical boat too.
Great 3 cabin layout, like the Merry Fisher 1095; using the under saloon space.
What a nice boat so much in side & so much installed & with 3 cabins + excellent galley area.
good review Nick.
Glad you enjoyed it
Reminds me (a little) of the Nordhave 41 (my dream boat) at half the price but sadly a lower CE Rating. But a lovely boat for the East Coast of the States and possible Great Loop Boat. Well done Nick.
Nordhavn is a hard boat to compare pretty near anything else against.
Dunno if I'd take two of these over one Nordhavn, but it's a near thing!
What a beautiful, modern, high style, weekender...and the price seems like a steal for that level of design.
What a fantastic boat Nick. Has everything you would need for long distance cruising in a 40 foot boat. For us with a cruising speed of 23 knotts we would defo be talking to the builders to change from our grandezza to that. Love,y boat Nick. Your worth your weight in gold fella.
That roof space! Brilliant!
Excellent use of space and highly practical, plus the sun loungers on the roof (usually a dead space). Great boat!
What a neat well designed craf
T
Incredible value for money. I imagine this is ruffling some feathers at this price point. They removed the aspect of luxury and maintained basic practicality. Its like a mini "flybridge" yacht! I think this would be ideal to own in the Med and make available to charter when not in use. I reckon you could possibly cover the monthly cost of ownership. Love it.
This would be an excellent Great Loop boat here in the US.
@@MesaperProductions that's what I am thinking too. But not sure if you can purchase this boat in the US.
What an awesome boat.
Great family boat and i think you are right about it being ideal for using it on a river. Nice one.
Worthy boat and excellent for the price
Great tour as always! It's so wonderful to see someone with passion and knowledge in equal measure, keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
That's a hell of a boat for the money. With a really nice layout.
Another brilliant tour, thanks very much, I do agree with Richard's comment about lack of storage for 'infill cushions though. I have to stuff mine in the biggest rear cabin locker (Which I'd rather use for something else) I liked the 2 heads though.
Another great video as ever. I always enjoy when designers come up with something a little different and don’t just go with the same as everybody else. Your last video also showed off a really good example of going off and trying to be different, and there is only one person who shows them off so well to us. Keep up the great work nick 👍
Glad you like them!
She’s much bigger than she looks, love all the natural light that filters through the cabin. Two heads ARE better than one!
Nick, check out the Delphia Bluescape 1200. Very similar concept but much nicer.
Not seen anything this good, and affordable over here in the US...would love one of these in NYC!!!
Perfect layouts.
i would go for a merry fisher 11 or benetau Antares with outboards , cheaper and also a lopt of room
nice boat daugh
I love this design and funtionality. Cool boat.
Great for stargazing at night, up top, flat on your back. The Northman Stargazer 1200. Nice.
Or...the Northman 1200 Stargazer.(?) (have their people call my people).
Great boat! Just love it! Thanks for that video, ! was in love whith Galeon 420, but this will be so mutch more usable!
Glad you like it! 🙂
Absolutely cracking boat for the cash. Looks brilliant inside and down below. Could happily spend a week or two cruising the coastlines or rivers of the UK in comfort and relaxed style. Would like to see the canopies up and how easy they are to put up. I want one!!!!!
Love it . I just looked at a Bennetau 35’ with 3 cabins but only 1 head. It has a fly bridge but the price is actually a bit higher . I’m going to look into this model more 👍🏽. The sleeping spaces are definitely bigger
Very nice boat a luxury SUV for coastal dwellers especially in areas of Northern Europe with extensive Archipeligoes or offshore islands . Intelligent flexible design and the bow points to a low spray/bow wake as it will push the bow wave rapidly back down. 😎
Wow amazing for family use😍🤗❤
So very interestingly designed, with the bonus that if you are only 4 people, you have a whole cabin of extra storage space. Awesome boat :)
What a perfectly wonderful little boat!
Superb, Nick, thank you!
My pleasure!
What a brilliant boat for a quarter of a million pounds, it has everything a family needs at an affordable cruising motor yacht. I wouldn't mind having this on the end of the garden, nick.
Nice boat! I love the foldable doors, they remind me of the Jeanneau NC 37.
Yeah that would be a great family boat.
A fantastic boat for that price very well designed with a good layout.
Great to see a new boat on the channel Nick thanks for showing us around
My pleasure!
VERY attractive proposition this! Excellent job as always Nick.
Many thanks!
I think this is definitely a well thought out design , and the price is definitely giving a lot for the money . Very enjoyable tour Nick. Best wishes as always 😀👍👍👍
Nothing more exciting on a boat than a secret area!
That's amazing range for lot of boat with fractions of price
Wow! A great little boat. Well thought out and very manageable.
really no crewcabin tucked away😃 great vid nick.
lot of nice features in a smaller boat. less maintenance with one engine
Fantastic boat for the money. It may not have the overall quality and sea keeping capabilities as the Norhavn N41, but it’s a third the price with one extra cabin and head.
Love the sunbed area. Its a lot of yacht. I'd live on that for a week. Thank you Nick.
Spoken like a interesting 'worm' and be a good book 'word'.
@@lionelgower6877 ???????
@@debbiejudd4933 you replaced love with live and vice versa.
@@lionelgower6877 Willy well well we have the world nazi here. So what?
@@debbiejudd4933 @Debbie Judd What are referring to.
I was making a jesting comment.
Interesting word, for a book worm (replacing my words in reverse).
I'm not quite sure what your offended with?
Very nice boat. Excellent tour as usual.
Thanks for another great walk-through, Nick! I've been watching a bunch of these sorts of things lately, and nobody does them as well as you do!
You're very kind! 🙂
Incredible use of space and amazing value!
What a brilliant use of otherwise unused space putting the sun pad in the roof!
Extremely good value boat.
Great design for a family with older kids. Nice tour, thanks as always Nick.
Thanks for watching!
Interesting little boat.
I have always thought that having ensuite bathrooms on smaller boats wasnt as functional as having them seperat, and I never really understood why it was so important to have ensuite on a smaller boat.
Great of you to show the boats that are in the range of the middle class. Bit of a odd layout with the twin, second berths and mirror image heads. Looks very livable though
Impressed with the level of thought and attention to detail. I could see myself owning one. Unfortunately, my bank manager is blind. 😞I would prefer cabins 2 and 3 (can't quite believe that in a 40 footer) to be two singles, but otherwise, I love it. And I just remembered about the bogs, sorry heads, I think what they've done makes sense. I'm not one for "en suite" in boats anyway, it's a big waste of space IMO.
Packed a lot into a 40'. There is one for sale on Yacht World for $323,404. It has a bow thruster.
TWO HEADS are BETTER than ONE!😊 THIS is a very functional, therefore impressive, design! All this in a 40-foot boat!
Interesting boat, that 10 knot cruising speed hits my sweet spot precisely. Perfect for touring in the Baltic Sea, which is where I live. Many comments here call this a small boat, that makes me wonder really as I consider a 40 footer a big boat. In any case these kinds of boats are more to my taste, I like to do long cruises at slower speeds rather than travelling at high speed and then spending lots of time at anchor. But at my age I have time, would be different if I was still in the rat race. My current boat marches at 6,5 knots while maxing out at 8 so something that goes 14 in a pinch and travels at 10 would be nice. But not prepared to put that much money in a thing that I can use only half of the year. Thanks for the review, I hope that you do more of these slower boats on your channel!
