I just made these. I didnt have gf flour without Xanthan and they turned out really well. They were much more dense than i expected but we put a little butter and honey on them and they are wonderful!!! It was a test run for Thanksgiving since its hard to find good GF dinner rolls and i've never had any turn out that i made. These are a hit for me!! Thank you!!!
That is awesome! I'm so happy they turned out well for you! I'm glad to hear the xanthan gum gluten-free flour worked fine :) Can I ask a small favor? Could you leave this review on this recipe on my website? Then others will know what to expect since it's a new recipe :) I appreciate it! You're welcome! I haven't made them with almond flour. It's not an even swap with oat flour since almond flour is less absorbent. I recommend starting with 2-1/2 cups of almond flour in place of the 1-2/3 cups of oat flour. Then add a little more almond flour if needed to get the same consistency as the dough in the video. Please let me know how they turn out :) You may want to experiment with a half-batch first.
These look amazing! I totally love regular yeast rolls but I also really love using oat flour in cookies and muffins, so this looks like a fun new way for me to use oat flour :) Question about the gluten-free flour…if I don’t have any, can I just use regular All-purpose or whole wheat flour instead?
Yes, you can use all purpose flour instead :) I include details in the Ingredients & Substitutions section on the full recipe on my website. The link is in the video description :)
@gentletummy oops, I guess I jumped the gun and asked a question on RUclips instead of going to your website first! I usually do click on your website link anyway to make your recipes so I should’ve just thought of that :-) thank you so much, I’m excited to try these out!
Yes, you could use any of those flours in place of the all-purpose flour :) Adjust the amounts slightly if necessary to get the same dough consistency as you see in the video. Let me know how it turns out :)
Doesn't the apple cider vinegar used in a metal bowl make the rolls green?? I had that happen to me once using a different dinner roll recipe. Enjoying your recipes. Lots of great ideas!
I had items that turned a little green looking but I believe it was either the flax or psyllium husk that did it if I recall. I'm not sure which, as it was a few years ago.
I used 0% (I didn't know there was a difference lol). They turned out a little heavier than hers look but still really good. I will definitely make these often.

Thanks for sharing. These look delicious. Since I don't do oats, because of the avenin (I have celiac disease), I'll try these with almond flour.

Добрый день. Подскажите, пожалуйста, можно ли использовать для таких булочек овсяный йогурт. Спасибо.
I have only tested it with greek yogurt :) The yogurt must be thick to work.
Me encantó tu receta. Gracias.
¡De nada! Me alegra que te haya gustado :)

Can you substitute Sorghum flour, tapioca flour or cassava flour for the Gluten Free all purpose flour?

Not that I’m aware of :)

@@triciab8751 oh wow...I didn't know they could do that :)
My batter is so liquidy I wonder if they will turn out good. I respected the measurements !
Did you use greek yogurt or regular yogurt?
@ Greek yogurt and I also baked some muffins that did not turn out like the first time :(
What was the brand of yogurt? How many cups of flour did you use? And what kind of flour?
@ it’s a French brand (yaos) the gluten free flour is from freee and has no xantham
Did you use storebought oat flour or did you grind your own from oats?
Yammy mam ❤
Thank you :)
Does it matter if the Greek yogurt is 0% or 5% fat
Great question, I don't think so. I always use 5% fat for the creamiest consistency. I haven't tried making it with 0% fat.
I used 0% (I didn't know there was a difference lol). They turned out a little heavier than hers look but still really good. I will definitely make these often.
@@triciab8751 thank you for sharing! :)
