Could you imagine the talent in the 80s and 90s Hearns, McClellan, McCallum, McCory, Michael Moorer, James Toney would go there and spar all the time….there footage of him sparring Gerald McClellan on RUclips
Michael Moore ALSO came out of the KRONX gym as well... What's the best South Paw & UNDEFEATED under Emmanuel Stewart. With the win over Evander Holyfield.
I have to admit, I’m not sure why it slipped my mind when I made this video. For whatever reason I associate Moorer with Teddy Atlas because I know him better as a HW than a LHW. But you’re right. He was an animal under Kronk during his LHW days. I wonder why they split when they were undefeated
I trained at the orginal Kronk on McGraw st from 1988- 2002 the best memories of my life I learned so much now I’m passing it down to my 4 boys I miss those days they will never experience what we had in that basement very sad😢 that place should have never shut down, you can Thank Kwame Kilpatrick that pos

I trained there for 3 years but never met steward, he had already passed. By tha point we were working out in a church basement. It's now flooded and everyone there split up, some of the best memories of my life there and all I have is a t shirt 🥲
That’s amazing that you got to stand in the gym that developed so many world champions. It’s unfortunate that everything has an expiration date. At least memories never fade 🙏
FINALLY. There’s not a lot Kronk style breakdowns on RUclips, so I’m happy this vid can fill that void a bit.
SURGICAL BOXING SALUTE RIP EMMANUEL STEWARD KRONK STYLE LEGENDARY
Kronk Style is elegance with a touch of Destruction !!
@@Ancantar Steward always loved tall, lanky guys with a eraser of a right hand.
Gym wars. They had gym wars to work on their technique under pressure. Kronk gym wars must have been better than most fights

Great Video! Reminds me how exciting it was to watch the Kronk style in action back then.

make more videos breaking down legendary coaches styles bro this is great
Deontay would have turned out much different had Steward gotten ahold of him
Could you imagine him with Hearns or Mcclellan's punching technique that would be something to see.
He would’ve been a beast of trained in the city 🤦🏾♂️
Good stuff
Kronk = Jab + Cross + Hook.
Only real flaw kronk fighters had was dropping the left hand to the waistline while within range.
Wouldn’t call it a flaw not everything has to be textbook

One of Steward’s dreams was to train Cotto. It was different. Miguel is a stocky fighter. Kronks are lanky
Is Konk still producing fighters or did it die with Stewart
There are still Kronk style trainers around
Same style that Fury used to beat Wilder in the 2nd and 3rd fight.
