Gareth, these videos are wonderful. Thank you for compiling this enormous tutorial series. Your thorough and concise explanation of each step for each video is invaluable. Very professional, very easy to follow along, and very much appreciated. Thank you!

The most important in the teaching style that you explained the main philosophy behind each concept. It is a really good job, I watched all the classes that connected with Ae which Adobe linked it with Ae, even though your way is better. If I were the Ae learning manager I will consider your teaching style.

What is the difference between using null objects like this versus pre-compositing and applying effects??

I think null objects are more used to change Transform properties like position, scale, opacity.

I never understand about Null object and it's features because no one can explain like this before. This 16 minutes video saved me hours of learning and I understood Null objevt and first Go :) keep it up the great work. You are a great teacher

Not immediately obvious what benefit this gives over precomposing. I imagine there is some use-case but with the example you game, it would accomplish the exact same thing.
