Sir i was asked about custom metrics in interview it was trick question, he asked about memory. I was unable to answer, do we need to install some agent on ec2 instances?!

To see memory metrics of an EC2 instance, you typically need to use Amazon CloudWatch, which is Amazon's monitoring service. By default, CloudWatch collects various metrics for EC2 instances such as CPU utilization, disk I/O, and network traffic. However, it does not collect memory usage metrics by default. To monitor memory usage, you need to install the CloudWatch agent on your EC2 instance.
