Problem is NO ONE thinks they are racist. "Bad people are racists/bigots & I am not a bad person."
What they say is, "I am not racist but we all know that blacks/Mexicans/Muslims/etc do "X." I am not being racist, I am just discussing this honestly."
And you get that at a White Power movement just as much as you get that from Adam Carolla fans.
Adam is a street smart guy but he thinks he is much smarter than he actually is and he has no ability to self-reflect or REALLY walk in someone else's shoes. He pays lip service to it, but he is clearly incapable of doing it.
He is basically a 'soft' bigot but he feeds an audience that are fully on vicious racist assholes. He was Trump before Trump.

When someone tells you that your jokes are offensive, it's not about YOU and YOUR feelings: it's about the feelings of the people you're trampling in your "comedy".

If you and them don't like it, don't fucking listen to any of his stuff. Their feelings are irrelevant in the context of comedy. Fuck your feelings.

It is racism. When he goes on air and calls Mexico and the Philipines sucky nations and lambastes Mexicans it's racism. It's clear there is racial animosity with Carolla otherwise he wouldn't be so antagonistic with it. But he has a right to free speech and can say what he feels.

      shadraq hoffe Ummm...
      - There are no different races of people. There is one race -> Homo Sapiens (sapiens). The amount of melanin in your skin does not constitute a "race", secondly we could call it decent instead. Mexican's are of native american and Spanish decent like a mix. NATIVE AMERICAN, do you understand what that word NATIVE means? You invaded their country not vice versa.
      - Just because there are people on both sides being racist it doesn't absolve the act of being a racist. That is infantile logic.
And Mexicans treated like royalty? What sort of universe do you live on? or what sort of high are you having I wanna try too. Or are you just delusional?
Plus Invaded you? Do you know what a Revolutionary war is? It is a rebellion against lawful leaders of your nation. The revolutionary war was not a defensive front against invasion it was a colonial rebellion by colonial masters against their masters. The civil war was brother against brother, no invaders there, and as I recall the only invading associated with the US in either WW was done BY the U.S not against the U.S.

    • @anzius4584
      @anzius4584 10 лет назад

shadraq hoffe Pearl harbor wasn't an invasion attempt, it was a preemptive strike to hamper with US navy troops. The Japanese wanted to stop US military from launching any actions in the far east and thus stopping Japanese military actions there. It was not an invasion.
Invasion: "entrance as if to take possession or overrun."
They didn't take possession they just decimated pearl harbor naval base. After which a war ensued which was ended by the US by dropping bombs on two cities which killed almost only civilians, not soldiers...
And as you can notice by the definition of invasion, the Germans didn't invade any of US land either. Soooo
Actually all the Native american people are decedent from the same original tribe so they are related.
But I mean calling them invaders is kind of a long shot and you don't treat them like royalty by a even further shot.
Plus as I recall the only major invading in the last 30 or so years has been done almost solely by USA, the allies of USA, and finally Russia. But mostly the US.
I mean you invade more fucking territory than the ex-soviet union main country, and with even worse reasons! You go into a country fuck shit up, take all the natural resources, say it's for democracy and freedom, then you leave. THe country's infastructure is shit after your attack, there is no stable government, because you destroyed it. Because you also gave money to violent anti-government gangs, they now have guns and are harrashing ordinary civilians. So the country is effectively turned to a living hell, and then you say that what you did was good. ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!? That's the equivalent of the devil setting a plague on human kind and then saying that it was for a good cause!
And then you come prancing in calling Mexicans invaders, you hypocritical cunt.

anzius not all natives come from the same source. there were 3 major migrations across the bering straights over history. there are huge differences in natives in the Americas from the very tall plains indians of north america to the midgets of peru/bolivia.
you brought up USA invading people in WW2 in your first post, which they didn't.
Just because some of our corrupt politicians forced Vietnam and Iraq on the american public- which we as citizens have paid for heavily, does not mean we citizens should suffer further by being invaded by anti-usa immigrants to further weaken our working class wage and further profit big business.
By the way, the USA got nothing out of Iraq-we didn't even get their oil-all we did was use 2 trillion in tax dollars to give to defense contractors like Halliburton.
Don't forget there are just as many corrupt, greedy mexicans who collude with our greedy politicians/businesses to agree to certain policies that affect mexican workers- like the corn industry gmos etc.

Well You did invade parts of Germany in WW 2 and some eastern islands in the battles against Japan...
And True you didn't get oil from Iraq in the end, but Bush did get a shit ton of dollars from the arms deals that the US military had with a arms dealing company where Bush was a share holder... (Pssst, corruption)
Also It would be more benficial to actually give the imigrant Mexican workers some sort of education and information of labour unions and such and labour laws. They would then be able to fight for better wages with the rest of the population. The real problem isn't that the mexican migrant workers are inherently evil, they aren't. These are poor people who are trying to provide for their families, and if they get paid less that the minimum wage they can't be very corrupt since that money is like nothing. They just don't know better and frankly it seems like no one is trying to help them in that endeavor. Instead corporations are exploiting them for low pay and everyone else (people like you) are playing the blame game and saying that the migrant workers are somehow in the wrong.

Well it seems we agree on the first thing to some extent at least.
But of course they are subversive to national unity. So is every US citizen that has ever moved abroad from the US. That's just how people are. There are literally hundreds of thousands if not of US citizens living outside of the US, how is that any better than Mexicans coming to live in the US? Forcing their English language on different countries.
People are and always will be subversive to national unity. Why? Because human nature. It is a psychological thing that has been extensively studied, called the In-group effect.
People want to be a part of a group and well for Mexican-americans that group is the mexican-american group. If you want them to not be as subversive to that effect you have to assimilate them better not try throwing them out. (Since that didn't work before or ever) I mean evicting people has been historically a bad move that almost never worked. Assimilation is much more beneficial in the long-term, but it takes time and well people are cruel and don't care so most nations never do assimilation.
It's just hypocritical to blame people for acting on something that is really just natural to all people. You wouldn't hate on a person if he ate or slept? Because its natural, so why would you hate on them for this. These are people desperately trying to provide a life for themselves and their family, which is not made easier by the rest of the public. They go against adversities.
Plus learning Spanish isn't a bad thing its one of the big world languages. Plus it is the sexiest language along with French... if you know what I mean :P
I live in Finland myself. This place as a country is ridiculously hostile to foreigners moving in and has the age old dilemma of:
"Foreigners come here and take all our governments social welfare money those lousy never-got-a-job bastards"
And then the same person complains that
"All those foreigners are taking all the jobs!"
So at the same time the foreigners are not working but are working?
So the problem hardly ever seems to be what the foreigners do its just their presence that ticks many people off.
It's ridiculous. Especially in a country like Finland which desperately need more population and more enterprises to sustain the level of life we have. We need more tax payers! But people don't want more foreigners, but they also refuse to get more babies... So were in trouble.
Me I'm mixed, half African half Finnish. I'm not black or white, I'm just me. I refuse to be labeled as one or the other.
But I've heard the arguments for and against immigrants. And I've seen my father coping with the hostile environment, and I had to cope with it myself, and I'm not even an immigrant!!
I've had people tell me that I should stop using the welfare system and go back to Africa where I belong!
I've been working since I was 15, and paying tax too! Now I'm going to med school and I still have to deal with this sort of shit!.
That's why I argue against all these things you stand for! Because you don't know the flip-side, and until you do your argument is invalid.
