Where do you get your seeds normally?
Great video, a couple of tips for you. The cardboard pots usually have to soak submerged in water overnight for them to become absorbent. Your pen idea would have also worked without you having to suck up the seeds, all you had to do was place your finger over the top of the pen and submerge it in the water release your finger from the top and it creates a suction. then once the seed is in the tube put your finger back on the top of the pen and lift it out. Then remove your finger over the seed tray and seed and water will fall into the tray cell. For the seeds themselves you could have used GA3 (gibberellic acid) to breakdown the outer membrane of the seed for germination.
Thanks Mr Stryker! Yes the pen idea wasn’t very elegant 😅 at least it worked in the end. I thought about GA3 but didn’t want to buy it and deal with it especially since there are so many seeds, if some don’t germinate it isn’t much of a problem because I’ll still have like 80 left over lol
Recently I started to watch your videos ,really good content thank you very much .
Thank you I’m so glad you enjoy it!
I just ordered small drosophyllum lusitanicum plant, so excited! I only had 2 seeds last year, one germinated but died in infancy, not sure why. I live in Southern California they should be thriving here since the climate is similar to Portugal or Western Morocco....keep my fingers crossed with this new one! 🙂
nice I never used the method for Drosophyllum I am interested if it works,so keep us updated. I had some Drosophyllum seeds too, but I just put them onto the soil and in the sun. Some did grow but it was more a problem to keep them up and let them grow larger than like 5cm.... Most of mine died at that time
What do you think was the reason they died?
@@TheFlytrapGarden might be too much watering as they live in very arid environment but I dont really know. One of the seedlings did grow really good and went big, but died in winter (inside of course). Having a greenhouse with natural light and regulation of temp helps anyway, which i dont have.
@@ClausCarnivores ahhh I see. I’m sorry to hear that my friend. I think they really need the temperature drops at night and like you said to be kept drier especially in winter time, but we will see how it goes for these plants. I hope that they do fine
Is there someone naked behind you? 😂😂
Hey, how often should I water these guys?
Idk
They should be sitting in a tray of water if you have a hole in it like we have 😊
Water do people get the peat moss and silica sand and perlite?
This depends on your country, but easily online and also at plant nurseries. I usually get them from wholesalers
Cool
Thank you 😁
You look like Brian Tyler Cohen
Sana may free seed flytrap plant 😋
From Philippines
Is it just me or is there someone using a computer in the nude in the background at 4:48???
Btw this guy is pretty cute 😉
Definitely not nude, wearing kinda skin-colored clothes
I'm meant where
Update?
They have just started the tiniest bit of germinating. It is a very slow process
U are so handsome
