Mega Speckled Trout in Lake Pontchartrain and Redfish In Inches of Water

Trip on 11/8/2021. Started the day off fishing the train trestles in Lake Pontchartrain to see if we could catch a trout over 20 inches. Some of our neighboring states have much bigger trout, but for Louisiana nowadays, that's a good size. After that, we went into the marshes along the Intercoastal Waterway to catch bass and redfish.
I fish artificial lures and mostly in the marshes and lakes on the east side of the Mississippi River in South Louisiana for Speckled Trout, Redfish, and Largemouth Bass. These videos are rough edited so I can show them within a few days of the trip and because I don't know how to edit videos. Great video! Thank you for throwing the big trout back and helping to conserve our estuary. Big trout make up about 3% of the total trout population so the more big trout out there reproducing the more big trout we will have to be able to catch, in theory. Hoping Pontchartrain will get back to the glory days I hear about from the 90’s where guys say they were regularly catching 8+ pounders.
