About The Way Back:
Jack Cunningham (Ben Affleck) once had a life filled with promise. In high school, he was a basketball phenom with a full ride to college, when suddenly, for reasons unknown, he walked away from the game, forfeiting his future. Now years later, Jack is stuck in a meaningless job and drowning in the alcoholism that cost him his marriage and any hope for a better life. When he is asked to coach the basketball team at his alma mater, which has fallen far since his glory days, he reluctantly accepts, surprising no one more than himself. As the boy starts to come together as a team and win, Jack may have finally found a reason to confront the demons that have derailed him. But will it be enough to fill the void, heal the deep wounds of his past, and set him on the road to redemption?

Watched the film yesterday and immediately downloaded the score. This is the kind of cinema that gives you the kind of goosebumps you felt the first time you watched the ending of Gladiator.
Its funny because today i watched Gladiator and The Way Back:)
Ehh the ladies cringey speech kind of ruined the ending.
Watched the film twice in a row just to listen to the music! Wow.
When the story, the scenario, and the soundtracks are sewn so beautifully together that it results in the creation of a profound piece of art that just elevates you to a higher state of mind.

You absolutely are not the only one…..it’s a deeply moving sincere portrayal of what challenges life throws at us and the struggles and demons we have to confront….trust me many of us cried watching this movie

This movie reminded me a lot about my father who passed away almost 4 years ago.
May he rest in peace. My grandpa died a few weeks ago.. But thats life we all have to leave the physical world one day. And its alright
Amen brother. Passed as well in 2017. He loved his basketball, he also loved coaching it. This movie hit home but was fantastic at the same time!

Wow I was speechless at the end of this movie….I just sat there in silence and let my tears flow. The final scenes and the synergy of this track was just cinematic perfection….this track conveyed it all….Despair, Tragedy, Grief, Regret….but then it crescendos into hope, redemption and rebirth….an absolutely fitting end to a truly moving sincere brilliant movie…oh and Ben Affleck….wow just wow.

So healing and powerful in that water-like steady and rolling rhythm. It's the soft and struggling comeback that is real, that is making a difference. People will really redeem themselves after such trial, and life will be all the little bit better and better.

Great movie, got pretty weird though when they decided to include a scene of him going into the wrong house. I think there could have been better writing for that part.
