Tracheostomy Care: Replacing the Inner Cannula

Replacing the inner cannula on a tracheostomy tube should be done once every shift, by either the RN, or the RT. This video demonstrates the process of replacing the inner cannula, and the other required tracheostomy care that should be done along with this task, including assessment and cleaning of the stoma, and replacing the split gauze.
