Feeling blessed to have found a coaster RUclipsr who not only makes uber-informative ride reviews/analyses but also blog vids that are actually entertaining
For reference, when operating Air at Alton Towers the highest number of dispatches we ever achieved was 52 per hour running three seven car crafts with both stations running and three platform hosts per station. This was very very hard work and the average was dispatches per hour was normally 40-44. I have no idea how this changed when the VR headsets were added for the Galactica refurb.
I never thought I would be interested in just listing to someone talk about roller-coasters. However, there is something about your videos that just have me hooked
My favorite coaster in Japan!! To anyone planning a trip to USJ, I'd recommend running to Flying Dino at rope drop. You can easily get on twice in a row with a very short wait.
All of your review videos and technical videos are entertaining, informative, and impressive. You lay out the language you'll be using, explain everything clearly, and don't bore the audience with too much detail. The flow is perfect, and each section has a purpose to the overall subject of the video. I always feel like I'm getting something out of your content that I can't find anywhere else. On top of that, your park vlogs make me feel like I'm one of your friends, just hanging out at a park for a day (which has helped with the lack of open parks lately). I love this channel and I'm glad I found it. Keep going mang, it's good shit mang!
@@ElToroRyan Of course! I'm a broke college student so it's the least I could do. Hmu if you're ever in Denver or wanna shred the Rockies! Not the best parks but some of the best pow.
It is an amazing ride, even one of the most intense I’ve ever been on. It’s really unique and so smooth. I’ll never forget it 😭 and definitely go back for it
Lmao, I love that I’ve been using the new B&M “Midcourse” on the final break run on all my Planet Coster creations for years and now know that it’s actually realistic
Love how you talk about forcing people to use lockers saying "In Japan, this is something really frowned upon" BOY IT'S REALLY FROWNED UPON RIGHT HERE TOO lol but they just do it anyway and don't care
This channel is my new comfort channel and I love it. Bless you for making such interesting content that can either be watched actively, or listened to like a podcast 💖
Really love your videos Ryan. I recently re-discovered my love for rollercoasters and it's so refreshing to see such enthusiastic and technical content from yourself. Keep up the good work rider!
I rode this without any idea what i was getting into. I didn’t know what was at the park at all, and i saw the flier and thought “oh cool, this will be neat.” Turns out, it’s my new favorite coaster. Holy shit this thing is unique. There are feelings that this ride delivers that don’t exist on any other coaster out there.
I remember the first time I saw an ElToroRyan video I thought "Oh cool, I happened to catch the video where he describes what a block zone is". Little did I know.
I just got back from Japan a couple weeks ago and when we went to USJ they have taken out the bins for lockers that they have in the middle of the queue before you enter metal detectors which definitely speeds up operations. This ride is insane and I love learning more about the rides I love!
I first rode this in 2017. My friend was nursing a hangover and didn't think he had the stomach for it, so off I went to the single rider's lane. The wait was 90 minutes long and the regular lane more than double that. I lost my voice after the raven turn; it was worth it! I visited Japan last year and was able to ride this three times. Nothing has changed with how fantastic the ride is.
I was just there last week and they have lockers now and people who are on the last few hundred meters of the queue will be asked to put all loose things in the locker before being allowed to rejoin. This poses some issues as if you’re slow in putting your things in the locker, you miss your original spot in the queue and can lose a few minutes. I also don’t like that glasses are not allowed on this ride, which is a bummer as I was not able to enjoy the views clearly while riding the coaster.
This is the first video I've seen that has made use of the "sections" in the play bar. I found that really cool how you divided your video into parts like that
Hey, great video again. Filled with a lot of information. The problem is I'm French and English is not my natural language, that's why I use the subtittles to help me to understand more easily. If you can activate the option for your future vids, that would be super cool for me and certainly for other people :) Continue what you're doing, I love this kind of videos !
When I was there, a couple of young ladies decided to hop over the switchbacks and push into the queue. No one really said anything until they got to the front where people started complaining to the staff. The staff checked the security cameras and confirmed the situation. The two girls were then banned from the ride for the day. Sweet.
You are the best coaster youtuber that was ever created. Every time you upload, I watch in awe because I know there are humans who share the same love for roller coasters as I do. You'll go down in history as one of the greatest coaster minds, I swear😂👍Isn't it funny how this one isn't a "problematic coaster review," it a modern age B&M!
I was honestly not expecting much out of this coaster when I went to USJ. But it completely blew my mind when I finally got on it after waiting almost 2 hours in the single rider line. You’re spot on with your critiques on the ride. Definitely wish it were longer. Might be more satisfying if I could ride it multiple times but wait times are so long you might be missing out on other attractions if you have limited time in the park.
Keep 'em coming and i'll keep watching - I enjoy your reviews! I have a Cedar Point trip planned with my coaster buddy (my 18 year old daughter) so i'm in full on "coaster fever" mode!
I love your videos. They are so informative, entertaining & exciting!!! I have been on this theme park and I have to admit this is the best flying coaster in the World. Keep up your great work
Just visited in Nov 2023. They added lockers at the end of the queue, prior to going up to the station. So, no cool bins haha. Absolute blast of a ride
t express has these bins too!! I was blown away !!! thank you for doing a video on flying dinosaur and just b&m flyers in general, tatsu is my favorite coaster and since tastu is so graceful and gentle, its not a model talked about much. flying dino is my last flyer credit and I can't wait to ride it!
Positive GS and tight pull outs. Running theme in these things lol. But awesome video Ryan. Helping me learn more about coasters and trying to go to other parks once shit opens. Keep up the amazing work. At this point I heard Ryan say positive GS or positive g forces I hear it in my sleep
I AGREE! Its honestly the BEST Flyer out there, kicks Tatsus ass with the first combination of those elements it puts you in! I rode in the back, and felt like I was out of control! I loved it so much!
BlueFire at EuropaPark also uses a similar shelf system where guests store their belongings from the front of the shelf and retrieve from the rear of the shelf.
Nice video 😃 Ever been in Europe? Because that bin system most parcs are allready using that system. But its fun to see that you take notice of theese details. 😃
Taron has a nearly the same bin system like flying dinosaur. But because it has different platforms for entering and exiting the train in the station you walk to the bins from behind. It is such a effective and secure system.
i remember back in 2018 i was living in Osaka and i waited almost 4 hours in line to ride this. it was worth the wait, one of my fave rides from Universal
As you love those bins so much, here in germany we have really nice systems at BlueFire and Taron, where you can access the bins from the other side while exiting from the unload platform. One of the reasons those big attractions can handle really fast operations I think. Really interesting video, as always :D
For Sure! I really want to visit some parks in the US at some Point. I feel like we have the great theaming and really fast operations with Europapark and Phantasialand while you guys over in merica have the big bucket list coasters. But maybe that's just because it seems far out of reach too. I guess you know you like your coasters when your up 4:30 in the morning writing comments on them xD
This ride looks very intense, definitely a must ride coaster for me if I ever go to Japan, nice video though mang, interesting to see a whole breakthrough and review on Flying Dinosaur, keep up the good work.
Absolutely loved your video!! I had the pleasure of riding Flying Dinosaur summer 2018. Definitely the best flying coaster I’ve ridden by B&M, I agree the intensity and pacing are on-point! I visited the park alone, and took advantage of the “single rider” lines throughout the park. My wait was maybe 60-90min, while the standby was 120 minutes. Definitely an amazing day, I highly recommend Universal Japan, and just visiting Japan in general, their country is fascinating. Thanks for the awesome video! 🤓
japan has some of the best roller coasters in the world the wait is worth the time with some of the most positive attitudes Ive ever seen from guests and park attendants.
I've been obsessed with coasters since I was a tween and just recently got back into my love for them and I'm in my 20s now but cant really afford to fly to america or elsewhere to ride all the coasters on my bucket list and it's sad to see some go like dueling dragons was a big wish for me. Montu at Busch is another wish i hope it stays open until I eventually get to travel back there! Love your videos a lot :)
You have riden over 500 RCs and only found one with this baggage system, and i only rode about two handful and already found two. Taron and BlueFire use the same system - although I'd guess Phantasialand "borrowed" the idea from Europa Park. Wodan and SilverStar have automatic lockers too, but they only open to one side - so it's on a per-train basis. Arthur takes it a step further, though - you use a QR-code from your ticket on a terminal to get a randomly assigned individual locker pre-queue, and after exiting you use the code to open it from the other side again... Basicly: Every major attraction built at EP after 2000 that requires passengers to lose loose items have some form of automated system.
I'm sorry but King's Island is the superior park for a B&M flyer, and Orion's plot would have been a perfect spot for one, but instead the park got a redundant coaster for the Ohio market.
Theory: The high speed/force wears on the trains like crazy, so at least one is always down for repairs. And repairing modern coaster trains is probably a tad costly.
About the bins. There are a Mack multilaunch coaster at Liseberg in Gothenburg, Sweden (Helix) that have the same bins that open and close pended on what train that arrive to the station. Works good.
Block- Zone, thank you for explaining this , I wouldn’t have known how this works (keep doing this on every video) as there will be peoples like me with no knowledge of rollercoasters
