- Part 2 of the 'Badger' guitar making of series of videos. This video chronicles the preparation of the Mahogany blanks through to the sanding. Due to time constraints, not every stage has been filmed.
The 5 guitars are currently in the finishing stages and part 3 is being filmed now.
Incredible work as always Mr.G!!!!
nice one! That slotting jig is awesome, I wish I had come up with that idea years ago!
You are an artist! Incredible craftsmanship.
What can I say, I absolutely love that pin router you have! Old school technology that just keeps a-ticking!
I've been a Brian May fan since I was 6 years old and he was responsible for me picking up a guitar for the first time. A truly amazing guitarist and even better song writer.
g8 video, nice old school way of doing things.
Hey thanks for ising my music in this. You have a serious talent. Brian May is actually the reason i first picked up a guitar and your red special looks incredible!
Hi Nathan, thanks for getting touch. Really liked your track. we all have our talents....yours is writing! I'll get a link to your track on the listing tomorrow.
Thanks again.

This is true, but I'm definitely jealous of your woodworking skills. Keep up the good work!
Good work Andrew,I can see why Brian appreciates your work!Planning on building my own guitar hopefully it will turn out well!
Did you build your guitar?
@@walkingonoldtracks holy shit this was 2 years ago.. nah never had the time.. im just focusing on university for now.. probably will build after finishing.. im not a luthier but ill try xD
oshh ahh ok... well I am, and I can only recommend doing it...🙏👌
Epic ASMR sounds!
I wish making one of these was an easy task, it looks therapeutic... I guess a well edited video can make it seem that way, I'm sure it's a lot of hard work. I just feel like these cheap Brian May guitars from his store are no match or replacement for one of these. I'm sure he would never want to say this either because of the sentiment with his own guitar but these are just better and more reliable.
I just wish I could buy one without needing to remortgage my house (not that the craftsmanship is not worth paying for though)
i like this very much where can i buy this guitar I am i big Queen en Brain May fan
That perfectly cut moment at 0:27 actually have me extreme, severe anxieties
как просто и гениально!
Great Video Andrew, Whens the next part going to be available?
If brian May is the Bob Ross of guitar, then the guy is the Bob Ross of wood work
were is part 3 andrew and looking forward to restoration of brians guitar vid any news on that one please
It's on its way... still filming the last scenes. The RS video is awaiting BM'S approval. ;-)
thanks andrew
Andrew Guyton what’s happening with the RS video
@@lukepriestley4543 hi luke dont look like Brian's gave is approval for him to use the video
Gold arms!
hi, ive noticed you fret the fingerboards before you carve.. do you have any problems with the neck moving after the carve?
Nothing yet. I fret before hand when I can as it provides a very sturdy solid surface, so the frets seat nicely. If the timber us seasoned properly, then there shouldn't be any problems.
What you use on 3:28 on trussrod? Hermetic?
Fantastic video! What's that on the side of the headstock at 6:50....?
That's the join where extra pieces are glued at the sides. Check 0:57.
Hello Mr Guyton. I will build my own Red Special, but i dont know, how Long the Fretboard is. It would be very nice, If you can anwer me, what dimensions do you use for the Red Special build.
Thanks from Germany
Es ist eine 24“ mensur Gitarre mit 24 Bünden, kann man ausrechnen👍🙏

How that's simple and how that's hard....

20 grit sandpaper???
Thanks for watching. It actually says 120 grit.
I must have missed it, but i thought 120 must be it anyways ;-)
