I did this on three occasions and surprised myself by winning. Also, I got into a fight against someone I thought was a weak guy. He bopped me on the nose and bought tears to my eyes. That was a good lesson to me. If the bully does win, get determined and take combat lessons. You MUST get him back. The fight goes on. Hang tough!

I've been bullied for 9 years. It's emotional and physical scarring for life. Almost nobody ever stood up for me when I was getting bullied especially in middle school. Talk about the bystander effect everybody was just a bunch of stones. Only 2 times someone stood up for me:One of my ex-bullies Paul stood up to my other bully Chris Braswell and a couple times a kid named Tommy Bearden stood up to a bully of mine named Mack Mosh. I wish more people stood up for me though and that the teachers were more caring and vigilante to bullying. ;'(

The only way we can stop bullying is to teach our children to be strong minded and not be intimidated easily. Teach them to be strong physically as well as metally & also get that boy or girl to learn some self defense so when they encounter a bully then know just how to deal with them if it comes down to using their fists.
In a lot of bullying, a punch is never thrown. It's just a bunch of people with the social power to ensure that you will have no friends (except for those who are extremely brave and willing to give it all up to make friends with one person.) Even if you fight back, you're still a pariah because most people don't want to put their necks on the line. You can yell at them, punch them, talk back - but it's the social pressure, not the physical violence, that does the damage.

I for one disapprove of anti bully campaigns, as a psychologist bullies are a big part of the reason my practice is booming, the victims let thier bullies tear down there self esteem, so the parents of the victims pay me $400 a week to rebuild there childs self esteem, and btw I don't charge $400 a session Icharge $200 a session but I set up the patients for 2 sessions a week

I have never been bullied badly. every kid in my vilige treated me like I didn't exist for 5 and a half years. at school and college all the chavs used to harrass me i couldn't bring my basketball during break time because they always ran off with it and 1 time they threw it on the music block roof (i had to ask the caretaker to help me get it back) when i turned 17 i took up skateboarding as a hobby, chavs made videos of me falling off for the first time and sent it to people around my town and posted it on youtube they even showed it to new comers at college
fighting back isnt hard you just do it my advice is that if ur getting bullied fight them. even if they beat the shit out of you every day for the rest of your school life you keep fighting. at least teachers might notice your bruises

I was bullied as a kid in the school, up to 9th grade - well, I got even. I grew one summer 18 cm taller+ i did forestcutting, that gave the a tremendous amount of strenght. Sort of a way i did what those school-shooter kids did, exept, with fists, i beated the s**t out of everybody who had bulled me. Broke some noses and hands and ribs. Trust me, it felt good. My school district told my son he couldn't go to my classes when I complained about racially targeted bullying. His friend fought back and got it worse. Both moved from the district because the district didn't do anything. Maybe the Columbine district didn't do anything either? I don't condone it but I understand the frustration.

Many of the ones who is being bullied are people with ADHD and cannot control their anger as much a person without. A boy in my class is being bullied by some of my friends. I somehow dont find that hard to beleive I got bullied in school for a while then I learnt to get violent and fight then all of a sudden made freinds with people and got into gangland feuds in school. between jumping people and doing gangfights we got around. liltigs. Fighting back against bullies is not bullying. In fact, you should do this. That is the ideal situation. Everyone can do something, no matter who. If you simply can't fight back, then as a last resort, complain to the autorities, and keep escalting the issue if you are ignored. That means going to the head, the parents' committee, city hall, the police, state, federal, finally, the President. Do it! Remember, if the authorities don't help, then they are bullies also. Report them!!
I think your idea is really nice and friendly, but Bullying isn't that easy to put an end. It would be easier to create a new economy ideology ending hunger and social disparities than ending Bullying. Bullying is more complex than you might think, I say it because I was a victim of it, and I started to study more about it, it's a cycle, it includes parents and their relationship with their teenagers, I mean, Bullying isn't just teen X teen, families are guilty aswell.
Dont' worry, there are ways to stop it. If we could at leat be nice to everyone, even the bullies, the rate of bullying & bullycide would gradually decrease. My challenge to you all would be to not bully... at all. You would make friends, and even save lives! That's the best part of all.

It's not always quite as simple as that for some people. If you become an outcast you can't hurt everyone in your class, or year.

Sort of a way i did what those school-shooter kids did, exept, with fists, i beated the s**t out of everybody who had bulled me. Broke some noses and hands and ribs. Trust me, it felt good. Just plain good. I dont feel guilty at all, I had been kicked, spatted and tortured for 9 years. Everybody has a limit.
A group of punks were threatening to beat me up because I was so much taller than everyone else and I wear my hair long(still do). When I finally got pissed off and challenged them to a fair fight, funny, I got no response.lol

I wrote today an examination about this topic and i think you can just stop bullying if you publish it! In theNewspaper of my town we have every week a regular feature page where pupils publish there problem which they have at school. On this page were given answers to the letters by experts and by psychologists.
What do you think ?
My school district told my son he couldn't go to my classes when I complained about racially targeted bullying. His friend fought back and got it worse. Both moved from the district because the district didn't do anything. Maybe the Columbine district didn't do anything either? I don't condone it but I understand the frustration.

bullying will never stop no matter how much we try. people are afraid of what they don't understand or see sometimes its jealousy what ever it maybe. I don't know about anyone else here but I feel bullying if any thing has gotten worse a lot of children in the UK have been killed by bullies. This scares me more as I'm scared to send my own child to school.Seeing as it seems to be the norm for children to carry knifes/guns around with them.

Many of the ones who is being bullied are people with ADHD and cannot control their anger as much a person without. A boy in my class is being bullied by some of my friends. It might seem like he is the who encourages them to bully him but it is my friends who is. My roll in all that is that im not telling the teachers about it. And if i tell i will be in trouble :(

The answer above has always been the problem to tackle systemic bullying. When the services that are supposed to protect our children fail, it is the children who suffer.
Nop one deserves to be targeted because they are different, white or blck. What I now want to know is where the lawyers are to help these kids.

Even today, im 24, if i see some kid being bullied, i go and HURT, and i mean !HURT! those kids bullying him/her. Thats the only way you can make those f**ks to understand, as sad as it is. Pain is an exellent teacher.
I remember defending a guy in High school who had asthma and in pe he got so much shit. He got a padlock thrown at his head and I beat the snot out of the little shit who hit him. Sliced the back of his head open it was a horrifying experience.

i agree with you. even though i can't fully relate, im only 20 years old. getting bullied sucked alot. really harsh. but i knew i had to face things like a man. cuz in the real world, in my opinion of saying this, your gonna get fucked in the ass. i had to be a man about andlearn how to deal with problems by facing it, instead of "taking it" and trying to forget about problems. you can't always run away

I agree that I once thought of killing the bastards who made a fool out of me but it takes great courage and wisdom to ask for help and let Karma deal with it. Revenge maybe the answer but the others are right. In my story Karma hit the bastards who hurt me in a dozen ways and were very sorry indeed.

I somehow dont find that hard to beleive I got bullied in school for a while then I learnt to get violent and fight then all of a sudden made freinds with people and got into gangland feuds in school. between jumping people and doing gangfights we got around. Outside of the feud I took care of some other bullies for myself and helped out other people. After been a year out of school sometimes I miss it. Seriously some times I want to go back to school and beat up more bullies!

liltigs. Fighting back against bullies is not bullying. In fact, you should do this. That is the ideal situation. Everyone can do something, no matter who. If you simply can't fight back, then as a last resort, complain to the autorities, and keep escalting the issue if you are ignored. That means going to the head, the parents' committee, city hall, the police, state, federal, finally, the President. Do it! Remember, if the authorities don't help, then they are bullies also. Report them!!

I think your idea is really nice and friendly, but Bullying isn't that easy to put an end.
It would be easier to create a new economy ideology ending hunger and social disparities than ending Bullying.
Bullying is more complex than you might think, I say it because I was a victim of it, and I started to study more about it, it's a cycle, it includes parents and their relationship with their teenagers, I mean, Bullying isn't just teen X teen, families are guilty aswell.
Dont' worry, there are ways to stop it. If we could at leat be nice to everyone, even the bullies, the rate of bullying & bullycide would gradually decrease. My challenge to you all would be to not bully... at all. You would make friends, and even save lives! That's the best part of all.
