How the hell this performance doesn´t have about a thrillion views? one of the most intense and perfect songs of this great great and incomparable band and the BEST performance I´ve seen of this song. Thrice will remain over the years, like Black Sabbath, Led Zep and other fantastic bands that left somethin special and unique on the music story. Love and respect THRICE, and truly desire and wish I don´t die without watching them playing someday, anywhere.
What can I say... Im shocked I knew he had a great voice and such, but when he came to "Oh Gods" at 4.01, I couldnt move.. it shocked me what a preformance. breath taking indeed The emotionals when he is singing this one is just to much Cant help feeling abit moved and ready to cry after this
This is why Thrice is awesome. They sound great live and they are extremely talented song writers. I love that they have experimented (successfully) with so many different styles over their career.
I got lucky enough to see them on their farewell tour in anaheim at the house of blues, and my God it was so amazing and perfect I wish they'd go back on tour again!!!!
For the first time in my life, I will see the greatest inspiration to me, my life and my music, live next month in Portland. Thank you Thrice for everything. Words can't explain my feelings about everything that has to do with such an amazing band.
This song is related to "the melting point of wax." Its a story of Greek mythology of a man named Daedalus, his son and himself were left on an island and made makeshift wings in an attempt to flee using wax for the binding. He told his son icarus not to fly to high, for the sun would melt the wax and undo their binding though icarus didn't listen.
@Mutantelamadrid and this is thrice's hometown why would people stand around? you react to the music you hear something beautiful you dont move around mosh to, like aaron said you stand and take it in.
@marc0d0n I need the see them live! Where did you hear about this and are they coming to NY? I just missed them play with a few of my favorite bands at Irving Plaza. I'm no bummed out you have no idea.

The heart he puts in all of his songs is just remarkable... Thrice will always be my number 1 band, even if the split like they said they will :|
From such a heavy hitting band, this is such a blissful thing to hear

Thrice never fails at sending chills down my spine!
I have a friend in London who came from Trinidad & Tobago! :) I just showed him Thrice.
I can't believe I've never heard of them, this is great music!
props to the crowd there, they sounded really into it!
not to mention the unshackled, unashamed musical talent of Thrice and Dustin
Thrice is so underrated.....this is a real rock band ....
prolly one of my favorite thrice songs, especially this version.
Dustin recently said in an interview that Thrice is coming back for a reunion tour in May. It'll begin in St. Louis and end in California.
I don't even need to ask if you got the chills listening to this.
Last year at a show in New Orleans, Dustin cried at the end of this song.
I just love it how he keeps hitting his strings after the song is over already
singing with passion...rare these days
Im so bummed theyre not gonna tour anymore :'( SUCH A GREAT PERFORMANCE.

I know exactly what you mean... 1:29 : "A song that's too perfect for words" pretty much sums it up.
It feels pretty much the same to me dude.. it's just like if he was forseeing a great loss
Very artistic music
@Mutantelamadrid This isn't the kind of song you move around a lot to. You just stand there and take in the awesomeness on stage.
