Actually, the Hanna palm was grown from seeds that are 500 older than the Methuselah palm. They don't show it in this video. So the dates are from the 2500+ year-old tree.
I wonder what the original fruit tasted like all those years ago. Since date palms grown from seed don't produce the same date's as the parent we will never know.
