Can You Play Music Through Your Guitar Amplifier?

Can you play music through your guitar amplifier? Why yes you can... Just a quick review of a setup we used for a large party a couple years back. We used two Crate 4x12 cabinets powered by a Crate Shockwave 350 watt amplifier... And, it was amazingly loud. The system overall had much better bass response than you'd expect AND vocals were very clear. Obviously, just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD - but, I wouldn't hesitate to use, "guitar" gear again if I were in a bind. (Obviously, if absolute music quality is the most important factor - this wouldn't be the way to go.) Peace out.

I heard that guitar speakers coil and bobin are closer than a regular speaker, tho they are meant for inconsisten moving instead of audio wich is constantly moving so heats up faster but I don’t know what happens in real life

I did this with my Marshall 8020 and it was loud but didn't sound that good. The highs were piercing, though it wasn't too bad if I was off axis and the treble below 3/10. I'm not sure though if the clean channel is deliberately crunchy, limiting the clean music headroom.

Amps are in mono, the music coming out of the iPod is in stereo....did the amp only play one side of the music?

Guitar speakers tend to focus on mid range frequency, they can play music but with shitty quality lol.
