I run the head saw at a verneer mill. Not too many fallers out there clean up the butt logs so I just want to say Thank you, I really appreciate it.
lol, yeah they should.
I think I've officially watched too many videos when every time I close my eyes I hear..."Alright guys" 🤣💪
Lol
I love that skidder. It looks brand new! Nice walnut. Thanks for walking us through that process. No cutter error.
Hey thank you!
You cut it with surgical precision. It's a pleasure to watch You work.
That beast of a skidder is just right for those big logs.
Good video as always !
Thanx for sharing !
Glad you liked it!!!
Very nice skidder for its age. Awesome cut on that big walnut
Thank you! I appreciate it!
I love to see the older machines in great shape . Tree was beautiful .
Yeah me too
If you take care of your iron it will take care of you!
It’s nice to cut the good timber!
Another beautiful walnut!!! Skidder is looking awesome. When i started way back last century we had just the wench and cable skidders. Remember dragging that cable out over and over again to hook up trees. Was never easy. Quite a workout esp when i had to drag the cable a long distance. Thank you for sharing yet another awsome video feller!! Have a great and productive week ahead man.
Hey thanks bud! Be safe out there.
Another job well done! Beautiful tree and that skidder is a beast!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Another great video and once again great job cutting that beauty brother 👍
Thank you!
Great job Feller!
Thank you
For sure a tree you dont get to cut everyday. Nice job buddy. Love them big walnuts and white oaks.
Yeah, it’s rare to get em this vid for sure.
Am sure you paid a very fair price to the landowner for these logs but bet you had several veneer buyers gushing over them. Hope you got top price! Thank you for another great video
Glad you enjoyed it.
Love you're content ❤❤ tons of respect for you're timber cutting skills. Learned a lot by watching you work 👍👍😎😎
Glad ya enjoy it
Love that skidder, nice trees on that job
Thank you, it’s a good one.
@@Good.Fellers your welcome
Great job Brother. Watching your videos makes me wish I was 20yrs younger and do a career switch lol! Keep up the great work!
Hey thanks bud!
you ought to do a video about dual arch vs single arch machines. the pros and the cons. some people dont know the difference they just see a skidder.
Yeah, I don’t have a single arch to talk about. The duals just offer a lot more reach and help when on mud.
I've really been enjoying your no bs videos man.
Awesome, I’m glad ya enjoy them.
That hurt when the branch hit me. Good video
😂
Nice trees and Skidder my boss is picky on cleaning the trees up like you we make them look nice like you have a great safe week
You to bud!
That JD Skidder is an Awesome Machine. Should bring a good price for those Veneer Logs of Walnut. That Axe you have is a great one also. Could you give me a link to his Web-Site. I have been Slow and easy all week. I cut On Monday, 16 pieces. I put the in the Garage to Split On my Electric 5ton Splitter in the Basement. Cutting another 1hour on Monday for some more. About another 2more months till I fully recover. Still get very Tired and not over doing it. Making progress though. Stay Safe out there my Friend, take care of that Awesome Skidder, a Powerhouse. Till your next Video. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg.
Hey,
Glad you’re getting back out there. He doesn’t have a website but he has a RUclips channel.
Great job bro. 🥇👍🙋
Thank you!
I couldnt help but notice the figure in the wood in the butt of that log. Swirls, fiddleback grain and lots of flame, just beautiful. Walnut is my very favorite wood.
Me too!
Headed to work ..thanks
Hey, thank you!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge I'm always impressed with your skìlls it's not easy to keep a saw cutting in walnut as well you can 😊
Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate you!
Good job
Thank you!
Very nice logg...a beauty....
Yes, it’s a big old nice tree. 🌳
If you planned that limb hitting the camera while skidding, you sir have some serious foresight. LOL
Lol
Great video.
Thank you!
Cutter error should be my username - LOL!
lol!
Those are some absolute stud trees. That's some dang good cutting. Is your bark starting to slip yet? You all but debark them getting them to the landing.
I meant to say. "You all but debark them getting them to the landing in my area currently"
Not yet, but I would assume that the saps gonna be running soon. I have a few tricks to keep bark on walnut trees while skidding though.
@@Good.Fellers I am curious what you do?
Wow,this graduate level falling. Thank you
I’m glad you enjoyed it, have a great week!
Another awesome video. Great cutting as always, no fiber pulling. Cool seeing that john deere dragging them logs. This may be a dumb question but i was curious if the tires on the john deere has fluid or air in them?
No fluid, I know people have fluid in there’s by I don’t run fluid.
Not to marry walnut like that left, in my area, nice fall and really nice old 648,and 208 you got there, I have an 87 240a with a 4bt can't beat an old jack
Gotta love that Cummins, a quiet Jack is a beautiful thing.
Many
@@Good.Fellers yes it is
Your gonna get spoiled cutting wood like that, you won't want to go back to a regular lot where it takes volume to make a profit! And that deere is a sweetheart! Actually quite rare, that clean with winch, dual arch and tilt blade! Probably one of the only ones left still earning money!
Yeah, It’s a good tractor, and I’m lucky to cut good timber.
@@Good.Fellers lucky? I'm thinking that's you being humble! I'm sure you've earned it by working hard and making good business decisions, and it certainly helps that you know your way around a high dollar stump!
Completely different ball game were I come from
I reckon that’s true.
That’s a pig of a veneer log!
Yes sir.
Nice wish I could've been your tree topper_,limber..been long drive 😢
Glad you liked it, always lookin for good help.
@@Good.Fellers been seriously considering it...
My man how about lifestream someday somehow
Yeah I’ll do that in the future.
I have a black walnut tree in my yard I want down would you be interested?
Probably not, but you can email me a pic and we can go from there. 1goodfellers@gmail.com
Do you watch any of Dan Turners videos? Turner logging LLC? He does a lot of walnut jobs also.
I’ve seen a few.
