I have heard that WLS or maybe just weight loss messes up with our emotions. I have had many self pitying moments and I really hate that but I just can't help but be super emotional. I guess it is just part of our journey. I'm so happy for you and your progress. Being overweight is such a huge milestone!!! Congratulations!!!

I'm so happy for you getting to the overweight category!!! I love your sons reaction to you about your obesity. Just goes to show how differently they think of us!! Hormones are probably at a high because of all the weight dropping lately. It releases estrogen and I'm sure that is affecting you! On top of stress that can make things so much worse. Good luck to you two on deciding about the out of state job!!! I'm secretly hoping its here in Cali!!! 😉 That's nice you took a personal day. You need that sometimes!! Hang in there girly!!! By the way, regarding vitamins, in our first Dr and nutrition class, a rep from Nascobal (prescription B12 nasal spray), talked to us about a program they have. If you Dr gives you a prescription for Nascobal, you can get all of your other vitamins free! They deliver monthly at your home. The prescription price varies based on your insurance. I used to have CA Anthem Blue Cross and the cost was $25 but the company I work for just changed to Aetna and I believe it will now cost $45 per month. Some insurances will actually cover the full cost, so it's worth checking it out. The vitamins are all bariatric grade and you can choose the chewable or pill version. I have not started taking them yet as my surgery is still a couple of months away. I should be getting them next month.

The cranky symptoms are totally related to your weight loss. My husband and I both went through this. He said it felt like going through a second puberty. Me, it was like extreme PMS. This lasted the first year post-op. You will level out over time, don't worry.
You look great! I have also noticed there are more sleeve than RNY's and I mentioned it to my Dr. and he said that the sleeve is more popular right now. I haven't quite decided which one I will get. Right now, it's the sleeve but I could change it...who knows. This whole thing is a little overwhelming.

There are a lot of hormones stored in fat. When you lose the fat, the hormones are released. It can lead to some "craziness". Bear with it.
