Also, I went to the oneus concert last week, I went in with no bias and I left with about 50 fancams of Leedo 😂 they are just as amazing in person, they are all so skilled!
ONEUS are so worth the stan lmao. ‘Come back home’ is a master piece… :) Also the one who’s visual you pointed out in ‘Lit’ with the purple hair and in ‘twilight’ with the “who is he?!” is Hwanwoong, he’s the main dancer;)
The LIT MV has so much inspired by the culture, i read at the time that even the main colours used are traditional the symbols and the dance moves even by ones every South Korean can recognise about at least one thing. They also did a Taekwondo version with the martial art incorporated with the choreo. The colours traditional with South Korea is known as Obangsaek which means five-orientation-colour which is white, black, blue yellow and red. Hence you see a lot of that in the MV. Traditional Drums, buildings, clothing, instruments and even the lyrics play on culture and language. Valkyrie is the first thing i saw when they debuted and i was like wow, that base beat and the imagery it was hard to not get hooked on that song. It s the start of their lore, as they develop towards the monarchs of come back home chapter and the story of the curse from the gods in to be or not to be etc. It’s a bit out of sequence for you, i would say enjoy them all in order of curiosity and then rewatch in order of release lol Twilight they build on the supernatural touches and the setting for this is so stunning, i recall thinking this looks so Italian but a the time i was like they wont be there doing MV’s but actually this WAS filmed in Milano. The clever TOMOONS on Twitter found this to be Villa Arconati, Villa Litta’s Ninfeo and Lake Annone. Beautiful an you are struck by the location on this MV from the start, also like you say seeing any MV outside is like yay no box studio! Lol
I tried really hard not to comment before I finished watching but I had to at the mention of HwanWoong when talking about visuals - THAT MAN HAS ME WRAPPED AROUND HIS PINKY I SWEAR!! .. .. anyway! I love the way that Lit eases you into Luna, at least aesthetically. With Lit you get more modern coolness mixed with the traditional background and instruments, with Luna you go deeper into traditional/ancient/fantasy lore with full costumes and wider shots of the traditional buildings. It's such a satisfying development.

Lit is fully packed with Korean traditional lore and there's an MV made by a native Korean that explains everything, because (as you noted) nothing is casual in it, neither in the setting, the clothing, the instruments, the choreo and the lyrics. I haven't been there but I believe the locations are Villa Arconati and Villa Litta by Milan (my city!) and Lake Annone. The visuals are stunning (I don't think I''m biased in saying it). oneus' overarching concept is monarchs who have been turned into vampires after angering the gods and their search for a prophetic person who may be the key to freeing them from immortality. the theme for twilight is basically their last time seeing the sun before they turn completely. after kingdom i would very much recommend checking out road to kingdom. it's the show that the boyz won in order to compete on kingdom but even knowing the winner it's still a good watch. oneus, too (now go by to1), golden child, verivery, the boyz, pentagon, and onf complete in that series.
To Be or Not To Be was my favorite but Twilight is an amazing song as well. They have a pretty good vocal line. Also coming back to request more Woodz content.
I just saw them Saturday in Louisville and the show was all I could ever ask for. They did so well! Also, Oneus' performance of Lit (and all others but since it's the song you reacted to) on Road To Kingdom was incredible and they changed the song up a bit so it was a fun new take. :)

Lit is my favorite OneUs title song, to this day. I recommend watching the version they did on Road To Kingdom or the Taekwondo version performance video! And if you want to see like a totally different title song from OneUs, I recommend 'A Song Written Easily'. It's more ballad-y and soft.

However, starting in 2020 after their run on Road to Kingdom, they've implemented group lore and have an overarching storyline. It starts with the song they sang during the finale of the show titled Come Back Home and then carries on through their subsequent releases To Be Or Not To Be, No Diggity, Black Mirror, and LUNA. The plot is kinda difficult to understand from the MVs alone and there are story films up on their RUclips channel to help explain the origin better. Can't wait to see you delve into Onewe! They're really something special.
