Cameron there are plenty of great boots out there that don't cost an arm & a leg. I just cant see the value in Vibergs, custom or otherwise. ( side note - what I have learned about expensive versions of everyday items - the enjoyment never seems to match the expectations raised by a premium price. )
Don't know if it's intentional but those boots you are going for look similar to the standard GI Issue M-43 Roughout Boots that Steve McQueen wears in The Great Escape which will therefore go very well with the Real McCoy jacket you have. An iconic style combination which I have a lot of respect for!
Interesting you went for suede when you have a roughout pair. Wouldn't that be kind of a downgrade? At least in terms of material quality. I have some suede sneakers I like and have been tempted by midnight suede Thursday boots before, so I get it if it's just that soft, luxurious look. Thd PNW boots are super overkill for me who works in an office environment, but if I had to consider one it'd be Viberg since they definitely lean more dressy.
Awesome makeup! I have a pair of Alden Indy in Tobacco Smooth Chamois that I've been thinking of resoling like that! You've helped me to confirm my choice!👍🏼👊🏼
And now we play the waiting game! Always the hardest part 😅 I went through a similar process when I ordered my custom boots from Wootten in Melbourne. Longest 3 months of my life waiting for them to be made and delivered. But oh so worth it in the end. You made some unreal choices! 😊
I'm in Texas. I ordered a pair of Viberg boots from R&H. they were too big and I returned them. They have outstanding SERVICE! I will try them again. SOOOOOON
Be good to see these boots when completed. Im to far from the London Rivet&Hide, but have been to the Manchester one a few times, and am going again in August.
Lovely colour suede, gonna be very versatile and look fantastic. Look forward to seeing them. Sounds as though they won’t be far off a grand😬,you’ll be wearing them to bed😁
Funny how tastes change, I've got many pairs of redwings, chippewas, grensons, wolverines that i never wear anymore.....I should sell but can't be bothered
No no. Fits perfect. Though I don’t want to own so many pairs that I never wear them. I’m still thinking about it. The current pair have a commando soles which I find very limiting for my use.
@@CameronO oh I see. Well maybe they will be good addition for snow at winter or mountaineering. I guess it will be clearer when you have both around and see what is useful for what. I love commando soles on my Grant Stone brass boots for that purpose thought my daily boots are almost all on 430 vibram soles, they're oil resistance works great. I understand it is potentially a lot of money sitting around unused but Vibergs second hand are often around the new RedWing price so if they fit perfect sometimes is not worth to sell them.
A spade tan leather sole would of looked nice imo, I agree with the colour, the antique look goes well with jeans . Will be a lovely pair of boots I’m sure.
Lovely looking boot apart from the mini ripple sole.
How'd you get your modeling job with Rivet and Hide
@4:27 Was the Viberg rep's name Croaky Monotone?

This is good advice. This will likely be the last pair of Vibergs I ever buy. Or at least super expensive boots. I hope.
This design reminds me of their scout boot

Nice! Not intended but I'll take it :)

Spoiler alert.. I may have switched from Suede.. I live in an area where there's lots of fields, mud etc so Viberg kind of steered me away from it.

Now the Indy is a boot I'd love to try!

yeah, this is the worrying bit haha. I literally haven't a clue on the price. eek
Looking forward to seeing them. Also, what's the tee worn in the debrief?
Heya. It is a Pure Blue Japan Indigo Tee "SS5011" most places usually stock it every year.
pretty cool
Those are going to be sweet! I'm sure it's an experience you'll remember.
I hope so!

Do it on Grailed or something. I'm sure you'll get some good cash back
@@CameronO hi Cameron are they better than eBay? I am in the uk
Im really exided how it will turn out. Looking forward to the update
Thanks man
Have you ever tried Jaques Marie Mage glasses? I think you'd look amazing in them...
I haven't. Are they sunglasses ?
@@CameronO yes!! Best of the best Jacques Marie Mage, I misspelled it before
Why would you sell first pair of your Vibergs? Is there fit issue?
No no. Fits perfect. Though I don’t want to own so many pairs that I never wear them. I’m still thinking about it. The current pair have a commando soles which I find very limiting for my use.
