Yeah super interested in the build, with the thickness of that gear box, it certainly won’t be coming apart! Looking forward to more updates

Awesome thanks for the comments and following along. Yeah with the gearbox I wanted to design something bulletproof and reliable with ease of maintenance. I have a habit of over engineering things sometimes though but for added piece of mind it’s worth it 😀

I'm sure it will be perfect in the future, & hopefully later I can order a gearbox for my next project, happy to see the development of your prototype aircraft design & gearbox design. extraordinary success always for my friend 👍👍👍👍👍

Man I wish I had a good little CNC mill

Opens up a whole other level of design. I love it 👍

Why don't you put the CNC mill in a box or enclosure for chip containment as well as reduction of noise. If cooling is an issue, fans could be used in the enclosure.

Yes that’s a good idea I was thinking of something like that . Too keen to get this done first 😀 cooling won’t be an issue because it’s a water cooled spindle so yes definitely will need to do something. I think my wife will be happy not having chips all through the house 😝

I have a lot of the tools to build a PSRU. Any drawings files and software recommendations?

I use fusion 360 to draw up my design. Unfortunately I’m not giving out my drawings as I haven’t completed testing on this yet .
