I feel like the smartest way to do an aviary pack would be to address the existence of the modding community, Focus on adding new bird rigs more so than the species themselves. We get one parrot and we will make all the parrots, One eagle and the nexus shall be flooded with every variety of raptor imaginable for the next few months.
Apologies for the inconsistencies in the audio, I’m currently working with a new mic🎙and am still trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t work! Thank you for understanding :)
Well we can cross off a couple animals from these packs (Capybara, Platypus, Red-Crowned Crane) fortunately. However I would still love to see your ideas become reality though, as I feel a lot of the species you mentioned would be absolutely wonderful to have in the game!
Would really like to have the indonesian flying fox in the game. It's our only somewhat realistic chance at having bat houses by re-purposing the aviary mechanic. Not only is it awake during the day but it's most certainly big enough to not be a collisions/hit box nightmare.
@@robertgardiner7709 Not a huge fan of Hammerhead bats but they're very unique looking. If we were to get a second species, the indian flying fox or common vampire bat would probably be the best options.
Am I the only one that noticed that signature desert animals are still missing? Dromedar, scimitar oryx, brown hyena, African spurred tortoise were all in ZT2 ... add some desert animals from Australia, Asia and the Americas and you have a perfect biome pack
Really like your ideas for aviaries. I think it makes the most sense for it to be an update with a pack, maybe just including just a couple of new species in the update for it. As for my pack ideas, I think we could see a latin/south America animal pack with: capybar, howler monkey, maned wolf, andean bear, a sloth or coati (depending on how hard a sloth is to implement), armidilo and ocelot. With asia, I could see them doing a general asia pack, as opposed to a region, eg and asia pack with: Amur leopard, Przewalski's horse, gibbon and asian small-clawed otter. Whatever the case I'm excited to see what comes next for planet zoo. Love your oceania animal pack idea, really hope that becomes a reality!
I love your ideas for packs! My pack ideas are basically identical to yours. I am extremely optimistic for the future! For the first time ever, we are being almost completely surprised with what we are getting, and its potentially only a matter of days till we find out. The only animal that I am pretty sure you didn't mention that I would love is another otter species (Asian small-clawed otter in the Tropical Pack. I am biased though because I am obsessed with otters, however that may not be in the best interest of the game. I used to not completely be on board with an Oceania Pack, but after this video I realized how underrepresented the region is. Thank you for this video!
I’m glad you liked the video! :) I actually considered adding Asian Small Clawed Otters, and even though I didn’t, they could still happen? Glad to see your excited for the future of this game too!
My versions of your speculation Tropical: Capybara, Maned Wolf, African Leopard, Red River Hog, Fossa, Small Clawed Otters, Gibbon (of some sort preferably white cheeked gibbon), and king cobra or a reticulated python. Oceania: Tree Kangaroo, Tasmanian Devil, Emu, Little Penguins, Wombat, Wallaby, Perentie, and a Taipan or some snake we have had no new snakes since launch. Asia: Amur Leopard, Takin, Red Crowned Crane, Wolverine, Mt. Mang Mountain Vipers. Aviary Pack: Bald Eagle, Macaw, Kookaburra, Hornbill, Grey Crowned Cranes, Trumpeter Swans, Sarus Cranes and Draco Lizards. I think the flying mechanic will be too much to ask for so I picked a lot of birds that cannot fly in zoos.
I hope they do add more to the game in the years to come. I play a lot of games and Planet Zoo is my favorite. What I really think we need is an aviary pack.
I think they could do a pseudo-aquarium pack that could add a Green Sea Turtle and a Florida Manatee as they, especially the Turtle, could live both on land and in water whilst still being mainly water-based to fill that desire. However the Manatee would be much harder as it is water exclusive but it's size would be similar to the Grey Seal and could be a nice introduction to fully aquatic animals without going mad with tiny fish animations as it's quite large and slow but still a crowd-pleaser. They could also do the Maribou Stork as a water-focused terrestrial bird. Oh and the Chinese Giant Salamander, which would be mostly like the Turtle I mentioned before, with a similar size and it would spend the vast majority of its time in the water, but still be capable of crawling onto land, but would fit the bill of an awesome as freak large amphibian that fills an awesome niche!
honestly i’d even say they should do a whole aquarium update, i love the aquatic pack but i’d love to have a circular ocean tank (like the ones in real aquariums, starfish and stingray touching exhibits , shark tanks, educators that sim with dolphins etc!
I think aviaries could work the same way as exhibits. Rather then a tank just have it as a cage and then rather then adding logs, leaves and misters you can be able to customise the inside with perches, swings, mirrors ect.. have the birds in the exhibit trading tab or have a new separate cage trading tab. Could make it a bit bigger then an exhibit but just use the same mechanics
I think it could easily be added like an exhibit too. Maybe a larger exhibit or something. Only downside is the Exhibit animals are kinda ehh... But if they got overhauled like he said in the video to be better, could totally see it all happening!!
Seeing this video after the 2 packs, it is really damn spot on. We had a biome pack (wetlands) and a ton of the animals you listed, so yeah, we will see more of these animals
Honestly I'd love to have a habitat turtle like Batagur or amazon river turtles since they're easily large enough to be outside of a tank and we really just need more unique animals to fill out the ponds of enclosures (Also the giant tortoises should be able to enter the water or at least use the mud wallow since thats a common form of enrichment for them in zoos)
The Oceania pack is actually amazing as a Australian the australia pack is my favourite but your Oceania pack would be my new favourite frontier should hire you
I love your solution for the aviary pack! Frontier could even retrofit peafowl and flamingoes with flight for the free update, in order to provide the new mechanic without springing for multiple expensive free animals.
I liked your idea for how the aviary pack should be dealt with, it's a great idea and it makes it so everyone gets something and the whole community is happy
Regarding the aviary pack, I have really been thinking about what they would do for the exipit animal, since birds is pretty hard to fit in to something that small. You can argue if the box is still to small for this bird but if they are going to do it, I am decently thinking the humming bird. They are extremely small and as far as I know they only bird that can stand completely still in the air which (even though I wish these animals would move more) fits perfectly in to the mechanics. They could of cause just do flying insects as well but I would find that I bit boring and a big missed opportunity. I kinda hope they will go for the humming bird. It would be an awesome and defiantly exiting adicion.
As for rides id think it would be cool if we got a planet coaster dlc for planet zoo which just ports over all the assets and combines the two. Make planet zoo the ultimate park sim game if they also add an aquarium dlc, and avian dlc.
Maybe like the aquatic pack they first add a bunch of birds that are mostly terrestrial like storks flamingos etc. then give them flying ability in the aviary pack. Not to mention most birds are also arborial if we think about it so it would also need a new tree system too. Perhaps one that allows tree climbing for some other species like leopards as well.
I am begging for Common Wombats and Simsangs, Kookaburra, Capybaras I would also love Frontier to go back and give tlcs to older animals just touch ups like animations or giving them the newer enrichment kinda like how the chimps need a bit of a change with their skin for the adults or how cartoony the lions look
Personally I would love something like a "Tierpark" pack -- it's a kind of zoo in Germany, where they show local wildlife but sometimes also farm animals (mostly rare breeds that originate from the country itself). Some of the animals you can see there are already included in the game (deer, bobcats, llamas, peacocks, ...), but so many aren't. In terms of wildlife it could include for example raccoons (!!) and wild boars/pigs. But as I said it would also be a great possibility to add some farm animals like cows, pigs, goats and sheep, donkeys, maybe smaller animals like rabbits? It probably would be a bit much to add all those animals, so maybe it could also be a "Farm Animal" DLC without the wildlife I mentioned? :')
As an Aussie my self I've always wanted to see a part 2 or an addition to our part of the world and your Oceania pack is just fantastic your choices were great your idea for a new map type in new Zealand/Tasmania was fantastic although I would like to see some new Plants such as Sword Grass and the Wollemi Pine. The one thing I would change about your animal selections would be adding the Quokka rather then Perentie because we've already got 2 large habitat lizards and as we now have the Platypus why not the Little Blue Penguin. (or as we call them Fairy Penguins)
My guess. South American Animal pack: Capybara Howler monkey Ocelot Maned wolf Sloth Armadillo Coati Python Update to arboreal system and exhibits system. Update to rides. Addition of more nighttime/nocturnal features. Would be cool for manatee, piranha, toucan, macaw, etc but doubt water/flying just yet. Never know tho.
For a avian pack I would have Bald eagle, scarlet macaw, American Robin, Indian flying fox, and monarch butterfly and some extras could be toco toucan, pileated woodpecker, American crow, common raven, blue jay, red bird of paradise, Costa's, hummingbird, common green magpie, red winged blackbird, eastern bluebird, zebra finch, black capped chickadee, northern Cardinal, or northern mockingbird, they would most likely pick one of those though
Absolutely gorgeous pack predictions, my only alternative is for the Tropical Animal Pack, everything in the pack is brilliant, but I feel since we have had another representative of the penguin and pinniped groups, there is one more creature from the Aquatic Pack that needs another of its kind, the Asian Small Clawed Otter I think would fit well in the Tropical Animal Pack, as another swimming species alongside the Capybara, but other than that, awesome, Oceania Animal Pack is my personal favourite
I would love an avarian pack, with blue and gold macaws, scarlet macaws, eagles, owls etc. I know this is a zoo game but I would also really like to see farm animals, cows, sheep, chickens, alpacas and pigs. I would also love to see ducks and swans and geese as well as a bunch of uk wildlife, squirrels, foxes, rabbits. Also a Penguin pack with more varieties of penguins
The Lordhow island stick insect is a good animal to help represent smaller islands, and archipelagos in Oceania like vanuatu, tonga, the Solomon's, tonga, tuvalu, palau, Hawaii, cook islands, samoa, kiribati, nauru, marshell islands, Micronesia, new Caledonia, french Polynesia, and Pitcairn. I would have chosen, coconut crab, or crested gecko but if we were going major islands I would do tuataras, or giant wetas
That was incredible dlcideas for the planet zoo the aviary pack , Asian pack , Oceania animal pack and the tropical animal are the very good choice for planet zoo
Tbh I would use the Lizard slot for Little Blue Penguins. Penguins are already in the game and they would just have to scale them down. Also it’s counterparts the Nile Monitor isn’t very popular unlike other common clones like Crocodilians, Doggos, Bears, and Cats. Just my opinion tho Could be in Platypus slot as they were added in Wetlands pack
I'd like to see the Trppical Pack as a full South America retread--we're missing so many common zoo animals from Latin America and include animals like the coati, rhea, and Patagonian mara. Sloths are possible but I don't know if Frontier could implement them well given that they literally never leave the trees except to defecate. Would just feel wrong if they spent a large chunk of the game crawling on the ground. If East Asia could be an animal pack I'd add a golden pheasant, Przewalski's horse, and either a wolverine or raccoon dog. Cool video
A pack I would really want Planet Zoo to do is a Sea Life Pack. I know there is already an aquatic pack, but it doesn't have fish, dolphins, aquariums, or other things. I would love this pack!
It's not always when I wholeheartedly agree with DLC ideas, but this is one of those moments. I'd rather have some kind of wallaby or pademelon in the Oceania Animal Pack rather than a perenti or even emu, but otherwise I'd be more than happy to get these concrete packs. I feel like you tackled the aviary pack as it should be tackled, with an update and then a DLC, because we really need to get more birds in future DLCs. You can never have enough birds.
Great video with some great ideas. Since the announcement of the Wetlands pack it seems Frontier took notes lol. I hope and am positive this game will keep going for awhile. The one thing i'm hoping for has to be a console release so i can actually play the game instead of watching video's. Also my most wanted are Puffins🥰
I could still see a central or west Asia pack. It would continue the continental themed packs and give us dromedary camels, which we have a sign for in the game.
Agree that an aviary pack would be great- I'm not entirely convinced it will happen for some of the reasons you pointed out ie. large time & dollar investment involved to make it happen, but I'm sure hoping it will happen! 100% want an actual Oceania pack- It being the only region without a pack thus far is down right bizarre given the diversity of animals they could give us/pick from. I too would like to see a better balanced Oceania pack- maybe something like: Tree kangaroo, Crowned Pigeon, Tasmanian devil, Echidna (or Tiger quoll), Kiwi, Kakapo (same or similar rig as peacock) with either the New Zealand fur seal (also found in Southern Australia) or Fiordland penguin making up the 7th animal (both the NZ fur seal & Fiordland penguin are unique for their species in terms of biome as both can or do live in forests when on land- Fiordland penguins more so than the fur seals. So while we already have both seals & penguins in game, both are distinct enough in looks &/or size to stand out, either one allows for the cheapness of reusing rigs but with the novelty of a new biome to build in since both travel up forest water ways to their water fall pool creches or forest nesting sights). Which leaves the Lord Howe Island stick insect or the Tuatara as the exhibit animal. I love your ideas for the Asia pack & wouldn't change a single animal there. I feel your thoughts on how they could introduce birds/aviaries into the game is really solid & makes a lot of sense from both a financial & ease of future updates or additions point of view, as it makes the best use of new rigs for flighted & flightless birds, as well as maybe tweaking the poorly flighted rigs they already have, while leaving the door open to profit off of them in any future packs. Your thoughts on adding new aviary habitat barriers/fencing in an update are similar to my own- I'd include maybe tweaking the current poorly flighted rigs to include some of the flighted features, along with the enrichment items & maybe a single flighted bird as per your your thoughts, then as you suggest, either release a birds & building pack or what I'd love to see- a deluxe birds pack, containing 6-8 bird species but no exhibit animal- tbh I'd rather have another bird species I can build for, than a bird in a box which does nothing ;) I'd settle for a mix of flighted & flightless birds of the world pack if it was a deluxe pack with no exhibit animal, but what I'd like to see depends on if/what they do as an Oceania pack: ie. Kiwi, Kakapo, Kea, Emu, Palm cockatoo, Crown Pigeon, Greater bird-of-paradise would be good if no Oceania pack (essentially it'd be a birds of Oceania pack I guess). If we get a proper Oceania pack that includes flightless birds like Kiwi, Emu & Crown Pigeon, then I'd love a flighted birds of the world pack: Kea, Secretary bird, Hyacinth macaw (or any Macaw tbh), Whooping Crane, Western capercaillie & Rhinoceros hornbill which includes a bird from each region, but if I'm greedy a deluxe pack could also include a toucan &/or the Greater bird-of-paradise or similar ;) I think a smart thing for them to do would probably be to do a rig that works for parrots & parrot like birds first, as well as update both the current bird rigs so they work for species like cranes, grouse & secretary birds etc. then they can decide if it is popular/profitable enough to tweak or add additional rigs for raptors & soft billed birds in the future.
I thinks tropical pack would be a good guess, I remember someone doing a planet zoo theory video saying he saw a possible file involving a Capybara, perhaps that was a hint for it?
I like the oceana pack idea. I think we should add more in it but keep it on a nice budget. Maybe they could hire some fans to use their rigs, animations, so maybe we could get a 2 in 1 DLC pack that cost $200.30? Idk? Oh well. I tried.
Tod Howard was right with his saying about Skyrim. If you want us to stop releasing it stop buying it. As long as Planet Zoo sells Frontier will release dlc and new versions. It has a stylized art style not a realistic style so it will never look old and need a sequel.
Your tropical pack include 7 animals from trapical rainforests and one that literally cant live in dense environment. Im talking about maned wolf. Its animal from south american savannas as suitable to live in forests as springbok. Funnily you questioned arboreal animal like fossa instead of dog. It would be animal from category: what you are even doing here?
I am guessing we'll get the Update 1.9 Feature Teaser on the 10th, the official 1.9 Update announcement on the 16th, the official DLC announcement on the 17th, and the 29th as the release date for Update 1.9 and the DLC. (This schedule theory is based on Update 1.5 and the SEA Animal Pack. If it's not an animal pack, the schedule structure would be different.)
I really want sloth related animals I the game, weather it be two toed sloths, three toed sloths, or sloth bears, it would be really cool to add them. I know sloth can swim, but I hope Frontier didn’t give them swimming animations. (Look up “wet sloth” and you’ll see why)
I’m really hoping for king cobras, kiwis, and other habitat bird and reptiles. The problem I run into playing the game is there’s so many animal species I don’t know what to put in my zoo
bruh, first this video was released at the beginn of the year, second they weren't added in Australia pack, they were released in twilight pack, third... what are you sorry for?

My Pack Ideas:
-North America Pack
Scenery: Wild West
Animals:
1. Wolverine
2. American Black Bear
3. White-Tailed Deer
4. Great Blue Heron
5. Eastern Coral Snake (Exhibit)
-Indian Animal Pack:
Habitat:
-Blackbuck
-Sloth Bear
-Mugger Crocodile
-Malabar Giant Squirrel
-Chital
-Lion Tailed Macaque
-Indian Grey Mongoose
Exhibit:
-King Cobra
African Animal Pack:
Habitat:
-Nile Crocodile
-African Leopard
-Dromedary Camel
-Secretary Bird
-Honey Badger
-Gerenuk
-Vervet Monkey
Exhibit:
-Black Mamba
Mexican Pack:
-Mexican Grey Wolf
-Morelets Crocodile
-Jaguarundi
-Cozumel Island Raccoon
-Mexican Night Snake (Exhibit)
Island Animal Pack:
Habitat:
-Tasmanian Devil
-Quokka
-Channel Islands Fox
-Crocodile Monitor
-Cuban Hutia
-Pygmy Three-Toed Sloth
-North Island Brown Kiwi
Exhibit:
-Lord Howe Island Stick Insect (Cut from the Australian Pack and replaced with the Eastern Blue-Tongue Lizard)
I just got the game recently, and currently playing through Career mode, just finished scenario 7. It's a decently fun game!
Tbh I would use the Lizard slot for Little Blue Penguins. Penguins are already in the game and they would just have to scale them down. Also it’s counterparts the Nile Monitor isn’t very popular unlike other common clones like Crocodilians, Doggos, Bears, and Cats.
Just my opinion tho
Could be in Platypus slot as they were added in Wetlands pack
I'd like to see the Trppical Pack as a full South America retread--we're missing so many common zoo animals from Latin America and include animals like the coati, rhea, and Patagonian mara. Sloths are possible but I don't know if Frontier could implement them well given that they literally never leave the trees except to defecate. Would just feel wrong if they spent a large chunk of the game crawling on the ground.
If East Asia could be an animal pack I'd add a golden pheasant, Przewalski's horse, and either a wolverine or raccoon dog. Cool video
I think a gathering update would be cool where some animals will take their food with them and hide and eat them in trees or their shelters.
If we get another asia pack, I need a przewalski's wild horse!
And you got it!
I just saw this video I already love your channel.
There should be a himalayan/ south east Asia pack. It could include the barasingha(swamp deer), maggar crocodile and markhor to name a few
I think the way you want to do the Aviary Expansion would be the smartest way for Frontier to do it
Agree that an aviary pack would be great- I'm not entirely convinced it will happen for some of the reasons you pointed out ie. large time & dollar investment involved to make it happen, but I'm sure hoping it will happen!
100% want an actual Oceania pack- It being the only region without a pack thus far is down right bizarre given the diversity of animals they could give us/pick from.
I too would like to see a better balanced Oceania pack- maybe something like:
Tree kangaroo, Crowned Pigeon, Tasmanian devil, Echidna (or Tiger quoll), Kiwi, Kakapo (same or similar rig as peacock) with either the New Zealand fur seal (also found in Southern Australia) or Fiordland penguin making up the 7th animal (both the NZ fur seal & Fiordland penguin are unique for their species in terms of biome as both can or do live in forests when on land- Fiordland penguins more so than the fur seals.
Your thoughts on adding new aviary habitat barriers/fencing in an update are similar to my own- I'd include maybe tweaking the current poorly flighted rigs to include some of the flighted features, along with the enrichment items & maybe a single flighted bird as per your your thoughts, then as you suggest, either release a birds & building pack or what I'd love to see- a deluxe birds pack, containing 6-8 bird species but no exhibit animal- tbh I'd rather have another bird species I can build for, than a bird in a box which does nothing ;)
I'd settle for a mix of flighted & flightless birds of the world pack if it was a deluxe pack with no exhibit animal, but what I'd like to see depends on if/what they do as an Oceania pack:
ie. Kiwi, Kakapo, Kea, Emu, Palm cockatoo, Crown Pigeon, Greater bird-of-paradise would be good if no Oceania pack (essentially it'd be a birds of Oceania pack I guess).
If we get a proper Oceania pack that includes flightless birds like Kiwi, Emu & Crown Pigeon, then I'd love a flighted birds of the world pack:
Kea, Secretary bird, Hyacinth macaw (or any Macaw tbh), Whooping Crane, Western capercaillie & Rhinoceros hornbill which includes a bird from each region, but if I'm greedy a deluxe pack could also include a toucan &/or the Greater bird-of-paradise or similar ;)
I think a smart thing for them to do would probably be to do a rig that works for parrots & parrot like birds first, as well as update both the current bird rigs so they work for species like cranes, grouse & secretary birds etc. then they can decide if it is popular/profitable enough to tweak or add additional rigs for raptors & soft billed birds in the future.
corwn pigeons can fly
@@hyena_fan So can peacocks & flamingos which are already in game- so for the purposes of the game it is 'flightless'.
@@nixequestrian3721 i know
@@hyena_fan So what was the point of your comment?
@@nixequestrian3721 idk
I hope Planet zoo will be around for a little bit longer
Me too!
i dont see it going anywhere anytime soon.
Me watching this 4 months later and few dlcs further... capibara:✔ siamang:✔ platypus:✔ amur leopard:✔ red crowned crane:✔ swingclimbing system ✔ 😁
I thinks tropical pack would be a good guess, I remember someone doing a planet zoo theory video saying he saw a possible file involving a Capybara, perhaps that was a hint for it?
My predictions are almost the same! The only change is Indian/african leopard instead of gaur and Przewalski Horse instead Amur leopard
I like the oceana pack idea. I think we should add more in it but keep it on a nice budget. Maybe they could hire some fans to use their rigs, animations, so maybe we could get a 2 in 1 DLC pack that cost $200.30? Idk? Oh well. I tried.
Expensive,but worth it.
A Persian leopard or a smaller wild cat would be nice or maybe an Ozeanian pack and aviary pack
A species of bird I would love is a javan rhinoceros hornbill and the species of gibbon I would love is the javan silvery gibbon
By this point I feel like we will get DLC in 2023 to so they can add 1 or 2 avian animals in with every pack.
Marine Pack when?
Markhor are the most ignored animals, everybody suddenly want aoudad and takin before them...
I would love to see the Gaur and Red River Hog added to the game
I can't wait to see the what is the next dlc in the planet zoo
I would love for them to add smaller animals like hares and maybe petting zoo animals
It’s been 4 months since the Europe pack. Think we’ll get a new one in March?
I hope frontier adds everything in this video
Yeah I wish they’d put in capybaras
its a crime that you didn't include an owl in the averian pack , otherwise great video!
Basically we’re at a fork in the road
I wonder how frontier wasable to change the texture, model and animation of the binturong in a couple days
was just model
@@TheRandomZooVisitor the animation frame and texture were also changed because the one before that was just a retextured red panda mostly
I think they should add velvet worm
What about a reptile pack some of us prefer reptiles over mammals or bovines
I personally want fish to be added
I think they should add a bearded dragon
The Asia pack, on the format you propose is not gonna happen. We already got 2 "Temperate packs" (NA and Europe).
I mean technically we have already gotten two tropical packs
@@SamsExotics yes, but they were one year apart. Now 3 temperate in a row. I don't see that happening
@@okapijohn4351 he said in the video is would happen in the later half of the year.
If we're talking about Africa and Madagascar why don't we just add the southern caracal
I think there’s gonna be a New Zealand pack
Fun fact: a maned wolf actually took my first phone, he still has it 😒
Creaking Skull
bro I just want to build a petting zoo for kids 😭😭😭
Or a rattlesnake because I saw a rattlesnake at a zoo once
there are western diamondbacks in the game
we need a pelican
sorry but wombats were released in the australia pack
bruh, first this video was released at the beginn of the year, second they weren't added in Australia pack, they were released in twilight pack, third... what are you sorry for?
I need the shoebill:(
African leopard are needed desperately 😫
What About a Ocean Or A Freshwater Pack
It seems like this is very unlikely, but Frontier may surprise us.
All I want is coitimundis
