This video is just something special for me. Remember myself as a 13 years old boy waiting for the new "Top 5 goals of the week" every Wednesday I believe. Then I was going to the local football pitch trying to record a goal for you to post. It didn't happened, but still i remember this period as the best time of my life. And to this exact video i use to come back every few months, just to get back all of those great memories from childhood. 😊

When you cram "500 goals" into a video that is 4:22 seconds long. 4:22 -> 262 seconds. 262/500=0.524 seconds. I'll be damned if you can explain how you gave each video that long of a time. I know that this is still a lot of videos, but they do not live up to the given title.

Claude Harris Actually its a physics phenomenon called the Magnus effect. Depending on how the ball spins (in this case there seemed to be a lot of topspin) there are high and low pressure areas around the ball. this causes the path of the ball to bend or, in this case, dip usually with unnatural looking arcs. Roberto Carlos' goal vs France in the World Cup is a good example of it
Falconshuffle24 Not an expert on the Magnus effect, but I don't see the effect on Roberto Carlos' freekick to be similar to this shot. Carlos' freekick had tremendous spin and had predictable trajectory (curling left towards the goal). This kick had barely any spin at all and actually had a dramatic movement upward before dipping down rapidly afterwards (very unpredictable in comparison). Perhaps the Magnus effect does explain both shots, but I don't see the similarity in terms of how the ball traveled on the two freekicks, and therefore I do not see Carlos' goal as a good example.
The seams on the ball generate the effects. The power of the wind causes the ball to go one direction, while the air moving in and out of the seam wants to force it another direction, giving it some sick ass effects. That guy has probably practiced for years
