I recently bought a revit outback 4, a pretty cheap (for revit) jacket with many balls and whistles. I feel like this jacket is a bit of an underdog as it has many features of the more expensive jackets but is way cheaper, but mostly because the jacket itself has no laminate weather protection.
Nice review of an excellent jacket! I ride with a REV'IT! Sand 3 jacket because I love the blue color. If only they made the Stratum in that colorscheme... Then again it might be a good thing for my wallet that they didn't :) Looking forward to more reviews, starting with your Alpinus pants ;)
I did love my sand 4 jacket and pants. Now that I've had a taste of laminated goretex I can't go back !! I do love the color scheme of the stratum, but it would be cool to have it in some other colors. And I might just do an alpinus review if I find a rainy day
Hi and Thanks for your video, there are few videos talking about this jacket. I have a question, do the inner jacket and inner pants connect in any way? normally with a zipper on the back of the pants? This is how it is in my SAND3 from Revit. can you tell me? thanks
@daxreacts3620 yeah I found some more info on it. Gore Tex is not the same now as its original form when it was first discovered and made, and now uses a similar concept as others. I have the Proteus armour, and as I understand it, the component is fully waterproof and also breathable. I think pricing on some of this stuff is getting out of control. I'm also thinking other manufacturers are doing the armour layer better. Like Knox as it's fully certified 2 including abrasion resistant. The proteus has the armour but the material itself is not abrasion resistant holding it. I love the whole layering concept of items that can also be worn individually at a camp but it's a shame that it is so hard to find dealerships in Australia that you can try the items on as I have discovered Motor cycle clothing is so far apart in sizing it's laughable. I range from a XL to a 4XL in this clothing. I think there ismanymuch other offerings now for waterproof Goretex is a bit of a rip off. Diane's do a great one as does Revit and others that is not Goretex and usually half the price. If Knox had a dealer , ere I would've gone that way instead of the proteus as it's not designed to be worn on its own.
What jacket do you use ? I wanna know!

Thanx for your video! Very detailed, so that everyone can make their own opinion - without sponsored whitewashing.
Thank you for commenting ! I try to be as unbiased as I can be. Now I do love the brand ^^

thumbs up!!! 👍👍👍
💪👍
Nice review
I believe the outer goretex shell is only B rated and you must wear it with the inner AIR jacket that is AA rated
Yes absolutely, B for the outer shell
Looks the same as the component?
It's a simular conception if you combine the component with the Proteus. But the difference is built quality and materials
