- Long time no Vinland!
I've wanted to use this song for Vinland Saga since I first heard it, but I made myself wait until season 2 ended as there were so many parts of the manga I wanted to see animated so that I could use them here. I hope this reaches all of you who have seen and enjoyed my other Vinland Saga videos, and I hope you enjoy this one just as much. I'm also convinced the export has messed up the timing in some places but idk how to fix that
Now it's just the long wait for season 3!

This video is beautiful, the song you chose is perfect. There is so much pain and sadness in this video, but there are also those small moments of hope. Thors holding Thorfinn's hand, Gardar and Arnheid together with Hjalti, Canute's laugh. I knew nothing about this series until @ImonSnow spoke of it, but it wasn't until I saw her thumbnail to Vinland Saga 2x20 "Pain" that I began to watch this series. I just wanted to know why she looked so sad in that picture and why this series looked like it meant so much to her. I love what she said about Thorfinn, about his journey, his pain.
"I know that they're fictional characters, but I want to say that I want Thors to know that all of his good deeds and goodness did not go to waste on Thorfinn, even the small stuff he remembered, it stuck with him, it was just buried deep down underneath all the darkness.
But it's still within him, and if given the chance it would come out, and that's why my heart breaks. My heart breaks for all the misunderstood kids, all the misunderstood teenagers, and all the misunderstood adults.
If only people were just given the chance to prove that they're worthy, because they are, we all are. We're all worthy of change and growth, and if people can just be patient enough, that goodness that's in all of us, even though it does get buried with life's hardships. It's still there, we just need people to be patient enough to help, and that's why my heart breaks.
Because Thorfinn is a character that you would think if we didn't know his beginnings we would think that this guy is a lost cause, and he should be locked away, throw away the key, or killed even, because he was so feral and dangerous. But he only needed a chance to be able to heal, and healing takes time, if not forever.
And that's the other thing that a lot of people don't understand is that healing is a lifetime process, you get better and better, but it's still there, and it's a battle. You can't just one day, it's like, you take a pill, and it's done. You're like, I'm 100% good today, and forever, it's not how it works.
So seeing Thorfinn's character I can just imagine how many people who have felt broken, and not loved, and lonely, isolated, confined, like solace in his character. That you can too become a better person, and that within you is beauty, there is light. There is beauty and light within you, no matter what you've done, it's just the truth."
For anyone that's reading this and doesn't know who @ImonSnow is, then I'll tell you a little bit about her. She does reaction videos to Movies and TV Shows, but her channel is so much more than that, it's her. She really cares about people and about what she does, she cares for the story, for the characters and the message the story is trying to tell us. At the end of her videos she shares her thoughts and takes the time to talk about things. I really love how much she feels for the characters, the way she connects to the story, the way she feels and experiences all of it. She's really beautiful, in every sense of the word.
