From what I understand, the map is as big as Origins but there will be dedicated spots for cities. Neat idea in concept, we'll see how it works in execution
So given the time frame of everything, the brotherhood these Assassins are a part of should be a very new branch, started by Shao Jun’s apprentice. This is actually not all that long after Ezio’s time, so their connection to him is relatively close (Naoe & Yasuke > Xiao Hu > Shao Jun > Ezio).
Like you said, I'm going to wait for gameplay and decide whether I will pre-order. But I am excited about this game and the story it can tell. I am also hoping there will be a Japanese dub for the game. Playing Mirage in Arabic felt like an experience in immersion. I can't wait for the distant future when these character videos come out. You always do a great job. I am hoping to see that Bayek character video soon.
I have put a delay on the character studies just because I only have 4 mainline characters I want to cover left so I want to focus on more regular uploads for a while. Also Bayek is a character I’d want to put extra time into because he’s one of my favourites
I want to mention the box art for the game. I like it. It seems Ubisoft learnt their lessons from AC Syndicate and Odyssey, which had box art I didn't like very much. I love how Naoe is proudly shown front and center alongside Yaskue, not like AC Syndicate where Evie was sidelined and shoved to the corner, with only Jacob prominently in center frame They also didn't try to shove an entire country into the artwork like with Odyssey either (which I really hated). It is a very aesthetically well composed and designed cover art 👍👍 I hope Naoe's characterisation and motivations take some cues from Connor Kenway in AC 3, but done in its own way, as well as avoid the pitfalls of that character too Edit: I heard rumors a while ago that a piece of Eden, specifically the Sword of Eden from Assassin's Creed Unity, will be a factor in the main narrative, which if true, will be fun
