I hope the same happens with my nose and I can get past those soapy clean notes. I do love my kayali fragrances more and more the longer they sit so I have hope with this one 🤞🏼🥰
I got soap 🧼 the first 2 days I wore it and now after wearing it for about a week, I get every single one of those Gourmand notes & I'm obsessed with it. If I smell real up close on my skin I still get a bit of that soap but the smell in the air & on my clothing is 100% airy sweet pistachio gelato.
I am obsessed with Yum right now. It stays sweet and nutty on my skin. I have not picked up on the soap notes as of yet. I mixed Yum with bubble gum pop from bath & bodyworks, and it is so sweet and beautiful. I also mixed yum with sun- washed citrus from bath and bodyworks, and it smells like lemon sorbet with a hint of pistachio. I feel like you can do so many combinations with Yum. It just depends on your vibe!
I’m a collector as well and stopped buying full bottles, it’s not as pretty on your dresser but I wear so many fragrances I’ll probably never finish a bottle anyways, saving lots of $$
I feel the exact same way! I’ll still purchase a full size whenever but Atleast I know if I’m getting it it’s because I truly love it and crave it, but you still get to enjoy this as a hobby as well and explore new scents! 🙌🏼🥰

The award of most polarizing fragrance of 2023 goes to kayali Yum 😋🤣 (so far 😵💫🤣) and no problem, that body butter is amazing!!!! I think it’s what everyone was expecting from Yum ☺️
I love reading the comments and seeing how we all experience fragrances differently. Our body chemistry is so unique and our noses pick up different things. The only consistent issue I've seen with reviews is the longevity isn't there but I've seen comments here and there that it lasts. So, it's one of those things like a pair of jeans or a shade of lipstick you're not sure about...you have to try it on yourself before you really know you'll love it. But I do enjoy reviews and fragrance content. It helps me to broaden my horizon yet narrow down scents I would want to test out next 😊
Exactly reviews and opinions are great but perfume is different for everyone you really have to test things on your own skin . Like black opium I hate on me but there are people it smells great on.
You have to try the Pistaché Pistachio Mist! Omg it's so good. Smells just like a Pistachio cream puff. I love it for layering. I'm sure it would go great with the body cream 😊
Yes Amy! That’s what I’ve been doing. Buying travel size first has saved me from buying a lot of fragrances that I just didn’t like on me, or blind buying items that ended up being a disaster. I also love being able to try out a lot of different scents, and being able to travel with a lot of scents without taking up a lot of space. I was going to skip this fragrance, but hearing a few people compare it to Princess (my fav fragrance), makes me want to give it a try. I’m not in a hurry though. My expectations are very low now, so hopefully it won’t be a huge letdown.
My thing is - why am I going over & beyond for a fragrance labelled as "intense" ... We shouldn't have to be buying pistachio body creams to amplify an "intense" Fragrance 😩😩

I am the opposite, I’m wondering how it will smell in cooler weather because it’s been close to the 90’s here so it’s been hot 🥵 and I get more of the powdery and floral notes in the heat, I think if it was a little cooler it would be perfect. 😍😍 I’m hoping it gets better for me with time 🤞🏼

While trying to make Yum work for me, I ordered the Vanilla 28 body cream and I must say it’s the most amazing lotion I’ve ever had - the texture and scent is just everything! It’s SOO good! It’s a must buy in my opinion!

I bought the Kayali Yum. The clean smell is throwing me off a little bought also seems to change every time I try it. I just ordered the pistachio cream and it smells like an almond hand cream I had bought at a boutique years ago. I loved it and this is great! Thanks!!
I experience my sample of this perfume almost exactly like you. I can really smell the rum in the opening. Sometimes I smell something like incense and that soap indeed. It does not last on my skin, but does really well on my clothes. On clothes it smells like Lira Casamorati when dried down. And I do love that one. So it does something different every time I wear it. I never had that with a perfume before.

I always spray paper or into the box first and on paper it held onto this almost men’s cologne type of fragrance. Probably from the bergamot and cardamom. It’s goes sweet quickly in the skin, but the overall impression for me is of cold pistachio ice cream. I think the coolness comes from the mix of the ice cream/rum/cardamom/bergamot in the top notes and then the pistachio and cotton Candy become the more prevalent sweet notes for me. After a few hours it is vaguely nutty and soft/powdery (probably the marshmallow or tonka) I love it for it’s uniqueness and subtlety.
Hi, Amy! I searched for this video of yours because just the other day I bought the Macaron Amande perfume by Jeanne Arthes that went viral on TikTok (which I found out after I bought it). I saw it in a local drugstore (I live in Europe), and judging by the color of the bottle, I hoped it would be a pistachio fragrance, and I did get the pistachio ice-cream vibe as soon as I sprayed it! So delicious. It's a light gourmand scent, sweet and creamy. It's so smooth and well-blended. They don't list pistachio in the notes, but I really do get it. So, that would be my recommendation! 💚 I've also seen people saying it's a dupe of Yum Pistachio Gelato, but I can't confirm it, since I still haven't smelled it.

I just ordered the dua pistachio Gelato and I'm am super excited ❤ it is so funny how different Yum is for everyone because it continues to be the best dupe I've found for Valentino aqua I loved that scent and I'm happy to have something that smells the same on me
I want that one, I’m willing to break my no buy for certain things and that one sounds so good. Btw when I first sprayed the yum I got the Donna aqua similarities and I was so excited and happy then I sprayed it on again later that night and it was a totally different scent 🥹 I’m hoping I can smell that first spray again because it was beautiful 🥹🥹
My favourite is the Guerlain LPRN au fraiche. It's sweet but fresh & lovely & lasts well. I just received my DUA pistachio today. Definitely gourmand. Starts with a burst of nuttiness then dries down to the gelato but still with pistachio present Dua's always last well. I don't think I'll get the Kayali now.
Yes! The guerlain one is so beautiful, I get so happy when other people tell me they love it because sometimes I feel like I love scents that aren’t popular at all 😆 that one is unique and easy to wear! 🥰🙌🏼
@@AmyGlam Just remember that they have to be sprayed into the air two or three times and then sit for a month or more to let it macerate. Some of mine took 6 months to macerate and those ones ended up being my favs. 30% off sale this weekend.
Hermes Un Jardin En Mediterranee has been a staple in my collection for about a decade. It’s a beautiful fresh bright earthy scent. Nothing gourmand about though. No pistachio in there for me. Great review. The honesty and authenticity is appreciated 💞
Yum Pistachio Gelato 33 smells very beautiful and nutty on me and I love, love, love it. It's the perfect gourmand for summer but doesn't last on my skin and disappears after 2hrs. 😢
I don’t get any pistachio or sweetness from Yum. I agree with the soapy, floral and powdery notes. It comes off incredibly perfumey. Im also glad I got the travel size first and this is a habit I’ll continue to do. Fragrances change when wearing so it’s important to test and not over consume. especially when you already have a collection that needs to be used.
I agree 100000% it’s a lesson that I guess we learn down the road in our collections 😆🤣 after so many blind buy fails of fragrances switching up on me out of nowhere I definitely learned the hard way 🤣🤣🤣
I think DS & Durga pistachio perfume is the exact nutty Gourmand perfume that we were expecting kayali could be or should be. & the Kayali yum is exactly the pistachio Gelato which they compared their juice to.. Pistachio Gelato as we all know is light fluffy creamy Gelato not the nutty one... Try DS & Durga pistachio if you want nutty pistachio scent
Im trying to pick up more travels. I do get 30mls (of some) cause I just can’t resist the bottles but I’ve been picking up more travels and just picking up less general. I’m actually getting burnt out 🫣
I know the feeling with the bottles 😩 I almost got sucked into buying a full bottle of Yum because of the bottle. I had to give myself some mental therapy and switched it to the travel size. 🤣😂
My biggest issue with this perfume is the false advertisement. It is not intense in sillage or longevity so why label it as "intense". All the notes listed on the bottle itself are the gourmand notes and the marketing was all about being a thick creamy sweet gelato/ice cream. This should have been marketed as a light airy gourmand floral perfect for spring/summer. I think a lot of the negative reviews are coming from ppl who expected sweet gourmand but ended up with soapy floral. Also keep in mind not everyone lives in the US so they would have ordered and shipped the perfume expecting one thing, only to end up with something different and now they cannot return it.
I agree 😩 I’ve been wearing it for the past weekend to see if anything changed and I’m super upset about the longevity.. not even halfway into the day I couldn’t find the fragrance anywhere 🤦🏻♀️ I literally was left craving a pistachio scent.. it could’ve been light and airy but without the florals 😩 it smells so clean and floral and the beautiful gourmand notes just stay trapped in the background and then just disappear 😣😩
So funny bc everyone gets something different from Kayali. I actually love both Vanilla Royale and Yum although totally different and Yum doesn't last nearly as long. I about went through a whole bottle of each 😅 I get a sweet yuminess from both and love em 🎉 I want to try GON 😊

I ordered that pistache body and butter and while it smelled amazing in the jar The smell on my skin only lasted about 15 minutes and then lost all pistachio all sweet all gelato smell and just smelled faintly dusty and nothing else. I returned it.

I watched so many so so reviews on the kayali pistachio scent, and everyone saying it smells clean and not too gourmand, but man on me it’s all gourmand, I don’t get any florals or any clean aspect, it’s thick, sweet, lactonic, rum-y, pistachio, and it lingers forever on me! I could only wear this in cold weather. So funny how our skin/ph gives such different versions of a scent! :-)
I mentioned how I get a total gourmand as well and zero soapiness. I find it delicious but unfortunately it doesn't last as long as some of their other scents on me. I find it perfect for summer tho, a very light bright yet sweet sugary scent. Agree we're all different 😊
You guys are lucky!!! 🥰 I think this will actually work better in cooler weather for me because today I smelled it while the ac was blasting in my room and I was freezing 🥶 and I sprayed it on and I got a much creamier scent. Love the warm and spicy notes in this fragrance. It's a perfect blend of gourmand, spice and smoke (to me).

Pistachio Gelato Kayali is so good! I have a back up bottle. I live in a subtropical beach climate and thick heavy fragrance’s don’t work here either.

I love Ellie Saab girl of now. It's slightly fresh, sweet, nutty. Yes you can definitely pick up the pistachio. It's such a good scent.

Hi, Amy! I searched for this video of yours because just the other day I bought the Macaron Amande perfume by Jeanne Arthes that went viral on TikTok (which I found out after I bought it). I saw it in a local drugstore (I live in Europe), and judging by the color of the bottle, I hoped it would be a pistachio fragrance, and I did get the pistachio ice-cream vibe as soon as I sprayed it! So delicious. It's a light gourmand scent, sweet and creamy. It's so smooth and well-blended. They don't list pistachio in the notes, but I really do get it. So, that would be my recommendation! 💚 I've also seen people saying it's a dupe of Yum Pistachio Gelato, but I can't confirm it, since I still haven't smelled it.

I just ordered the dua pistachio Gelato and I'm am super excited ❤ it is so funny how different Yum is for everyone because it continues to be the best dupe I've found for Valentino aqua I loved that scent and I'm happy to have something that smells the same on me

I want that one, I’m willing to break my no buy for certain things and that one sounds so good. Btw when I first sprayed the yum I got the Donna aqua similarities and I was so excited and happy then I sprayed it on again later that night and it was a totally different scent 🥹 I’m hoping I can smell that first spray again because it was beautiful 🥹🥹
My favourite is the Guerlain LPRN au fraiche. It's sweet but fresh & lovely & lasts well. I just received my DUA pistachio today. Definitely gourmand. Starts with a burst of nuttiness then dries down to the gelato but still with pistachio present Dua's always last well. I don't think I'll get the Kayali now.
Yes! The guerlain one is so beautiful, I get so happy when other people tell me they love it because sometimes I feel like I love scents that aren’t popular at all 😆 that one is unique and easy to wear! 🥰🙌🏼

@@AmyGlam Just remember that they have to be sprayed into the air two or three times and then sit for a month or more to let it macerate. Some of mine took 6 months to macerate and those ones ended up being my favs. 30% off sale this weekend.
Hermes Un Jardin En Mediterranee has been a staple in my collection for about a decade. It’s a beautiful fresh bright earthy scent. Nothing gourmand about though. No pistachio in there for me. Great review. The honesty and authenticity is appreciated 💞

Yum Pistachio Gelato 33 smells very beautiful and nutty on me and I love, love, love it. It's the perfect gourmand for summer but doesn't last on my skin and disappears after 2hrs. 😢
I don’t get any pistachio or sweetness from Yum. I agree with the soapy, floral and powdery notes. It comes off incredibly perfumey. Im also glad I got the travel size first and this is a habit I’ll continue to do. Fragrances change when wearing so it’s important to test and not over consume. especially when you already have a collection that needs to be used.
I agree 100000% it’s a lesson that I guess we learn down the road in our collections 😆🤣 after so many blind buy fails of fragrances switching up on me out of nowhere I definitely learned the hard way 🤣🤣🤣
I finally got Mon guerlain intense and have been loving it paired with a bath and body lavender lotion.
The pistachio fragrance that I enjoy is from DS and Durga
I think DS & Durga pistachio perfume is the exact nutty Gourmand perfume that we were expecting kayali could be or should be. & the Kayali yum is exactly the pistachio Gelato which they compared their juice to.. Pistachio Gelato as we all know is light fluffy creamy Gelato not the nutty one... Try DS & Durga pistachio if you want nutty pistachio scent
I smell the florals mostly with a light pistachio in the background - which is great for me! I wouldn’t want more pistachio.

My biggest issue with this perfume is the false advertisement. It is not intense in sillage or longevity so why label it as "intense". All the notes listed on the bottle itself are the gourmand notes and the marketing was all about being a thick creamy sweet gelato/ice cream. This should have been marketed as a light airy gourmand floral perfect for spring/summer. I think a lot of the negative reviews are coming from ppl who expected sweet gourmand but ended up with soapy floral. Also keep in mind not everyone lives in the US so they would have ordered and shipped the perfume expecting one thing, only to end up with something different and now they cannot return it.
I agree 😩 I’ve been wearing it for the past weekend to see if anything changed and I’m super upset about the longevity.. not even halfway into the day I couldn’t find the fragrance anywhere 🤦🏻♀️ I literally was left craving a pistachio scent.. it could’ve been light and airy but without the florals 😩 it smells so clean and floral and the beautiful gourmand notes just stay trapped in the background and then just disappear 😣😩
So funny bc everyone gets something different from Kayali. I actually love both Vanilla Royale and Yum although totally different and Yum doesn't last nearly as long. I about went through a whole bottle of each 😅 I get a sweet yuminess from both and love em 🎉 I want to try GON 😊
So true and kayali also tends to get better the longer they sit so I still have hope for yum 🥰 GON is a stunner but definitely better for cooler weather ☺️
I literally just tried this and am confused ...my brain can not decide what this is...starts super sweet and then gets super soapy. Not sure what to think. Glad i only got a sample. Did you end up liking it?

I ordered that pistache body and butter and while it smelled amazing in the jar The smell on my skin only lasted about 15 minutes and then lost all pistachio all sweet all gelato smell and just smelled faintly dusty and nothing else. I returned it.

It’s crazy because I was born here (Puerto Rico) but I was raised mostly in cold weather when I was little so I definitely get tired of the heat literally all year 😩 the beaches are beautiful but I’ll take that for vacation, I need my seasons! I didn’t get the “sweet” aspect i was expecting from it, i feel like the pistachio was overtaking the creaminess I wanted from this.
It’s so crazy how everyone picks up super different notes 🤣😆 I get a lot of pistachio but just as much sweetness as well, I just wish it didn’t have such a powdery/ floral dry down on my skin 😩

I love love love la petite robe noire eau fraiche, but it's no longer made.
It’s smooth and cool airy texture feeling to me which I like but missing the milk and any nutty sweet and creamy. I think I would have preferred pistachio ice cream instead of gelato. So it’s ok but not a love

I don’t think they are similar at all.. the only thing they share is the nuttiness from the pistachio but yum is way more fresh and clean I prefer the sol se Janeiro so far ☺️

I watched so many so so reviews on the kayali pistachio scent, and everyone saying it smells clean and not too gourmand, but man on me it’s all gourmand, I don’t get any florals or any clean aspect, it’s thick, sweet, lactonic, rum-y, pistachio, and it lingers forever on me! I could only wear this in cold weather. So funny how our skin/ph gives such different versions of a scent! :-)
I mentioned how I get a total gourmand as well and zero soapiness. I find it delicious but unfortunately it doesn't last as long as some of their other scents on me. I find it perfect for summer tho, a very light bright yet sweet sugary scent. Agree we're all different 😊

You guys are lucky!!! 🥰 I think this will actually work better in cooler weather for me because today I smelled it while the ac was blasting in my room and I was freezing 🥶 and I sprayed it on and I got a much creamier scent. I’m going to keep working with it and hopefully that soapy touch will go away 🤞🏼
